Tony Savric
A wonderful and most loved husband & father, Tony passed away peacefully after a painful battle with cancer on Friday, January 3, 2003 at Trillium Health Centre. Loving husband of Ksenija. Beloved father of Peter (Kathy) & Tim (Shelley). Son-in-law of Zorka Zagar. Brother of Stanko & his family & Maria & her family in Slovenija. Cousin of Milica & her family. Tony will be sadly missed by a large extended family & many, many friends; A million thanks to all our friends for visiting Tony while at the hospital. Thank you to Father Plazar for his support & daily prayers at the hospital. A thank you to the nurses & staff of 4D Trillium Health Centre for the exceptional care & compassion extended to Tony & family. A very special thank you to our family Doctor Martin Kates & staff for their longtime support & care. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Clara Mary Fabbri
Peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga Site in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of the late Bernard Fabbri. Loving mother to Phillip and his wife Christine of Limehouse, Ontario and Lawrence and his wife Elizabeth of Toronto. Dear grandmother to Steven and Julian. Survived by her brothers Paul of Toronto, Dick of Bowmanville, Michael of Toronto and survived by sisters Patsy of Maryland and Lynn of Mississauga. Predeceased by her brother Herbie. Sadly missed by many other family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Helen Davis
On Monday, January 6, 2003 at Peel Memorial Hospital, Helen Davis, dearly beloved wife of the late Fred and loving mother of Sheila and her husband Alex Fazekas and Terry DeWilde and her fiance Terry Chappelle. Dear grandmother of Tia, Seth and Ethan. Dear sister of Theresa. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday at 2 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

Geraldine Ardron (nee Cobb)
passed away peacefully on January 10, 2003 at the Trillium Health Centre at the age of 80. Predeceased by her husband Harold Charles. Loving mother to Jackie and her husband Bruce, Doug, Larry and his wife Liz, Bob, Russell and his wife Marie, Kathy and her husband Gregg, Dorothy and step-daughter Lorraine and her husband Dan. She will be sadly missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Dorothy Grace Fisher
Suddenly on Sunday, January 12, 2003 at St. Joseph's Health Centre in her 84th year, Dorothy, beloved wife of the late Leonard Geoffrey Fisher. Much cherished mother and best friend to Lynne (Mrs. John Hickmore) of Caledon East. Also loved and respected by her neighbour and long-time friend Bradley. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews on the Fisher and Williams side. Special thanks to Dr. Petrasek and the support staff at Storefront Humber Inc. for their excellent care and compassion. Dorothy was a very special woman who will be greatly missed by her daughter and all who knew her. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Florence Moher
After a short illness with her family by her side, Florence passed away on Monday, January 13, 2003 at Credit Valley Hospital. Beloved companion of Stewart Collett. Loving mother of Heather Butler and Debi Johnson. Loving nana of Jordan, Derek, Gordon, Kandis and Samantha. Sister of Susie, Lloyd (Mary), Bud (Mary Helen) and Frank (Edith). Florence will be greatly missed by many family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm & 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Friday at 1 pm. Cremation.

William Gouzecky
passed away on January 15, 2003 at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga site. Bill’s loss will be deeply felt by his beloved wife Lena, and his children Richard (Win), Maxcine (Keith), Anne, Barbara (Bruce), Sandra (Gary) and Susan. Proud grandpa to Cyndi, Shawndy, Tracy, Jarret, Keith, Joel, Eric, Kimberly and Jessica and great-grandpa to Nathaniel and Abigail. Bill will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Jane (Sheena) Christian
It is with profound regret we sadly announce the sudden death of “Sheena” Jane Christian at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington on January 17, 2003. She is survived by her loving husband, Bud “Edward” Christian, her aunt and godmother, Mrs. Sarah Jane Mac Fadden and her cousins Gordon and Donna, Jack and Josie Mac Fadden and her ten nieces and nephews. Sheena leaves a legacy of love for her family and friends in Canada and Scotland. In particular, the teachers and students at John English School in Etobicoke where she tendered her “flock” until her retirement in June of 2002. In sixty short years, Sheena’s life was a profound portrait of accelerated emotion which she freely shared with everyone that she held near and dear to her heart. Our hope is the knowledge that the vitality of spirit is eternal and that life’s journey for Sheena has only just begun. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday January 19th and Monday January 20th from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday January 21, 2003 at 11a.m. at Mimico Presbyterian Church (119 Mimico Ave.). Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Marie Sarah Doyle
Peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2003 at the North York General Hospital. Marie Sarah, in her 79th year, beloved wife of Kenneth L. Doyle. Marie, loving sister of Mrs. Rita Chiasson, Mrs. Gladys Walsh, Mrs Lauria Burke, Lourie, Alex, Larry and the late Edward, Simon and Leo. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. A memorial service will be announced in the spring.

Roy Buick
Suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late Jennie Buick (nee Leo). Loving father of Barbra, Patty Buick and her husband David Kalbfleisch. Dear brother of Harold Buick and predeceased by Ben, John, Tom, and Huey. Also sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) A Celebration of Roy’s life will be held on Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm. A Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 12 pm. Evelyn Johanson
Peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2003 at Chelsey Park Nursing Home in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur. Greatly loved mother of Doug and predeceased by William. Mother-in-law of Pat. Grandmother of Maryan and David and four dearly loved great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm. A Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 11am. Interment Springcreek Cemetery.

Wilfred Meade
After a short illness with cancer, Wilfred passed away peacefully in Sarnia. Beloved husband to the late Terri. He was also predeceased by his brothers Raymond, Gordon, Victor, Cecil, Aaron and sister Doris. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Albert and Ernest and sisters Anna Belle and Sarah Jane. He will be lovingly remembered by his relatives and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Slavica (Gloria) Dolenc
passed away peacefully at the Trillium Health Centre on January 26, 2003 in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her husband Anton (Tony). Loving mother to Tony and his wife Beverly and Linda and her husband Richard. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Amy Hare
Peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2003 at Lakeshore Lodge in her 100th year. Amy was a long time resident of New Toronto. Dearly beloved mother of Barbara (Jim) Pollard and Harvey (Freda). Loving grandmother of Cathy (Terry) Hager and great-grandmother of Amy Laura. Predeceased by her loving sisters Nelly Brown and Dorothy Ricket. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Monday from 3 to 5 pm & 7 to 9 pm. Dorothy Olin (nee Cruickshank)
passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on Saturday, February 1, 2003. Loving mother of Susan and son-in-law Frank. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at 2 pm from the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association.
