Death, Burial, Cemetery & Obituaries

John Latos
(Dedicated Dentist for 46 years in Toronto) passed away peacefully on June 8, 2003, after a sudden illness at Mount Sinai Hospital at the age of 71. Lovingly remembered by his sister Donna, cousins Mirek and Walter. John will be sadly missed by many friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment Springcreek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Timothy Wayne Young - Taylor
On Monday, June 9, 2003 at the Joseph Brant Hospital. Tim, beloved son of the late Betty Young and brother of the late Wally, Gordon and Terry. Tim will be sadly missed by his dad Earl. Loving brother of David, Judy & her husband John Sheehy, Jimmy & his wife Rita, Mark & his wife Linda, Jill & her husband Roger Harasinski and Deany & her husband Kevin McNeilly. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. followed by cremation. George Howard
Peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy illness at the age of 76. George was a long time employee of Simpsons and Arrow Taxi. Remembered by his beloved wife Audrey Comrie-Howard. Cherished dad of Linda (Earl) Gray and Tom (Leona). Dearest grandpa of Holly and Joshua. Loving brother of Irene (Ambrose) Raymer. He will be sadly missed by many family and friends. Sandra Steckley
Sandra passed away at St. Michael’s Hospital on Monday, June 16, 2003 at the age of 53. Cherished by sister Kelly (Marcel) Bergeron. Sister in law of Merle and Brenda and nieces and nephews Megan, Jason and Amy. She will always be in our hearts. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705). A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, June 20, 2003 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of Ontario.

Kathleen Norma Tufano
On June 23, 2003 at University Hospital, London, Kathleen Norma Tufano passed away in her 86th year with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Anthony. She will be dearly missed by her daughters Donna (and Vic Menage) and Lorraine (and Frank Stade). Grandmother to Anthony, Paul, Jennifer and Tracy, and great-grandmother to Sam, Jack, Dean and Jamie. There will be a memorial service at RIDLEY FUNERAL HOME, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. West (between Kipling and Islington Aves., at 14th St.) on Friday, June 27, 2003 at 11 a.m. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Andy Hackson
Peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, June 27, 2003 in his 43rd year, beloved husband of Tina. Dear father to Kirt and Nicole. Son of Neil Hackson and the late June Hackson. Marci Ann Constance Frampton (nee Cribari)
Peacefully at Trillium Health Centre – Mississauga Site on Thursday, July 3, 2003 Marci Frampton dearly beloved wife of Scott and loving mother of Billy, Christopher, Patrick and Jessica and loving stepmother of David and his wife Kelly Frampton. Beloved daughter of Betty and the late Marcel Cribari. Dear daughter in law of Ross and the late Beryl Frampton. Dear sister of Mark and Susan Cribari and sister in law of Steve Duddle, Leslee Frampton and her husband Barry Longlade and Wendy and her husband Murray Small. Tom (Teify) Jones
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom on Sunday, July 6, 2003 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Jan (Kenny). Loving father of Les (Jan Kay), Betty (Larry McFadden), Valerie (Garry Frelick), Janie (Peter Durst) and Kenny. Papa will forever be missed by his grandchildren Jeffery, Kelly, Kevin and Jessica, Christine and Kimberley, Scott and Jenna, Justin and Christopher. He will be fondly remembered by his relatives in England. The family particularly wishes to thank the Rehab Staff at Queensway Trillium for their care and compassion. Peacefully surrounded by her family and friends at William Osler Health Centre – Peel Site on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at the age of 57. Loving wife of the late Harvey Furniss. A wonderful mother to Todd (Robin), Laura (Vince) Rossi and Mark, she was an inspiration to all of us. Forever loved grandma to Jillian, Daniel and a baby boy on the way. William Lindsay Wright

On Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Central Park Lodge. Margaret, beloved wife of the late William. Loving mother of Fred and his wife Diane and Gloria and her husband George Akins. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Tracey and her husband LeRoy Gaudett, Brian and his wife Stella, Terri and her husband Sam Carrier, Nicholas and his wife Patricia Serniuck, Greg and his wife Debbie Smith and her great-grandchildren Nickolas, Miréad, Maeve, Jesse, Tai and Kaitlyn. Sadly missed by her nephew Jim Harrison and her nieces Jean and her husband Allen McAlpine, and Irene and her husband James Colville and their families. Peacefully at Allendale Long Term Care Facility in Milton on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband John (1995). Loving mother of Jane and Alex Stremecki and Nataline Middleton. Babci to Aldonna and Richard (Rick) Blouin, Wendy and Stephan Stremecki, Liane and Bill Robertson, Kelly and Derrick Middleton, and Lorrisa and Brad Middleton. Prababci to Cailey and Mackenzie Robertson, Robyn and Samantha Stremecki, and Madeleine and Nicolas Blouin. Predeceased by sisters Angela (Nellie) Hebor, Rose Niewiadomski and in Poland brothers Antony, Joseph and John.
