Haviland Fennell
(Retired Employee of 46 years with Campbell Soup Co. Ltd.) On Monday, September 1st, 2003 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Jean Fennell. Dear father of Edward and his wife Lore and father of Jim and his wife Lauraine. Will be sadly missed by his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment Springcreek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Frank Nicolak
Peacefully in his sleep on September 3, 2003 at the age of 59. Frank will be sadly missed by his sister Nancy Nicolak, and best friends Donna Pringle and Sandra Kelterborne. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. Cremation. Verveline Myrtella Lamb
With deep sorrow, the family announces the passing of Verveline, in her 87th year, on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2003 at Centenary Health Centre. Beloved wife of the late George Lamb. Loving sister of Hazel and Rye. Blessed, and greatly cherished grand aunt of Ingrid and her husband Rohan, Charmaine, Sabena and her husband Vance. Sadly missed, and endeared great grand aunt to Nathan, Matthew, Suzanne and Ryan. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Saturday, September 6th, 2003 from 9-10 a.m. A Memorial Service to celebrate Verveline’s life will be held in the Ridley Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a favourite charity would be appreciated.

Ellen Beverley Sandluck (nee Fowler)
Passed away suddenly on September 4, 2003 at the age of 64. Beloved wife of Edward. Loving mother of Jack and his wife Cheryl. Cherished grandmother to Tera, Tanya and Amanda. Survived by her brothers Jim, Geroge, Teddy and sister Winnie. She will be sadly missed by her mother-in-law Evelyn, sisters-in-law Alma and Sonia and brothers-in-law Norm and John. She is predeceased by her parents George and Emma Fowler, brother Bill and sister Vi. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Lillian Heslip
Peacefully at home on Friday, September 5, 2003. Dear daughter of the late Hugh and Hannah Heslip. Predeceased by her brothers Frank and Marsh, her sister Nancy Heslip and very recently her sister Edith Hollingworth. Leaves behind many Heslip family nieces and nephews. Lillian was a gifted and devoted teacher for many years with the Toronto and then the Etobicoke Boards of Education. Very special thanks to Eldercare Home Health and her good neighbours on Third Street, New Toronto. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2003 at 2 p.m. from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (75 Simcoe Street at King Street, Toronto). Interment to follow at Springcreek Cemetery, Mississauga. Donations to the Out of the Cold program through St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Ridley Funeral Home 416-259-3705.

Ann Willison
Peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at home. Ann, beloved wife of the late Max Willison. Loving mother of Deborah & her husband Peter Duncker and Don & his wife Kathleen Willison. Ann will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren David, Matthew, Andrew, Daniel and the late Monique. Ann, loving sister of Olga, Raymond, Sidney and the late Walter. Margaret Piche (nee Craig)
Passed away peacefully at Toronto Grace Hospital on September 9, 2003 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband Bill Tasker. Margaret is survived by her brother Graeme, nieces Irma and Maureen, grand nieces, grand nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by many friends and relatives. Family and friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Eva Woodburn
After a lengthy battle with cancer on September 9, 2003, with her family by her side at the Toronto Grace Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Jack. Loving mother to Glen, Marie and Jean-Paul, Lynn and Simon. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Rachel and Richard. Survived by her siblings Noella, Anne, John, Theresa and predeceased by her brothers Medric, Jim and Morris. A special thanks to all the Palliative Care staff especially Dr. Petrasek at Toronto Grace Hospital and Dr. Warr of Princess Margaret Hospital for all their care and support. Laura Lastowka
On Thursday, September 18, 2003 at the Humber River Hospital, Church Site. Laura, loving mother of Jeanette McMahon and Henry Lastowski. (Longtime resident of Alderwood and Member of Christ The King Church) Suddenly on Tuesday September 16, 2003, Fem Purski, dearly beloved wife of Stanley and loving mother of Richard and Michael and his wife Susana. Peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2003, Bob, beloved husband of Jeanne. Loving father to Janice Dnes (Myron), Cyndi Thomson (Dick) and son Brian. Bob will be greatly missed by Linda and Brian Gee. Dear Papa to Emily, Carly, Jamie Lee, Kathryn, Holly, Nicole and Natalie. Brother to Herb (Jo). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and his devoted dog Heidi. Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Toronto Grace Hospital on September 30, 2003 in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late John Ongaro. Loving mother of Dan (Lynda), John (Veronica), David (Linda) and Mary. Nonnie will be missed dearly by grandchildren Katie, Jennifer, Stephanie, Thomas, Jane, Cheryl, Justin and Andrea. (Petty Officer in the Navy during WWII, stationed in St. John's, Newfoundland) Peacefully in his sleep on October 1, 2003 at Villages of Winston Park Retirement Home - Kitchener at the age of 89. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy Smith. Loving father to Bill and his wife Erica of Hamilton, Bob and his wife Joanne of Kitchener, Debbie Andres and her husband Doug of Oakville. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Lisa, Melanie, Kim, Michelle, Stacy, Danielle, Mac and 4 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Gladys Gordaneer and her husband Del and cousin Anne Basley. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. On October 3, 2003 at Toronto Grace Salvation Army Hospital at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Leona. Loving father of David, Ronald, Catherine Mitchell-Bailey and her husband Brian and grandfather of Emma and Madeleine.
