Peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2004 at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital surrounded by her family. Loving wife of the late Donald. Beloved mother of Rodney (Marlene) and the late Lynette. Loving granny of Lisa, Kevin, Bonnie and great-granny of Holly. Dear sister of Dudley (Shirley), Malcolm (Angela). Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday from 12pm until Service time in the Chapel at 1 pm. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children.

Lester Benson
Suddenly at his cottage on January 4, 2004, in his 73rd year. Beloved husband to Marilyn. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Allan, Roy, Wallace and Kevin as well as his sisters Laura and Hilda. Jennie Kurak (nee Chwalka)
On Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at Labdara Nursing Home. Jennie, beloved wife of the late Frank Kurak. Loving father of Ed and his wife Rose of Oakville. Loving sister of George Chwalka, Catherine Werderitch, and Sylvia Allen and predeceased by Stella, Michael, Joe Chwalka and Mary Witzu. Jennie will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. On Thursday, January 15, 2004 at the Trillium Health Centre. Nora, beloved wife of the late Frederick. Loving mother of Morris and his wife Joan, Victor and his wife Lois, Fred and his wife Alice and predeceased by her daughter Barbara. Nora will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Kevin, Tracey Kachmar, Sean, Carrie and her great grandchildren Tyler Kachmar, Haley Kachmar and Kali. A private family service will be held at Ridley Funeral Home followed by Interment at Springcreek Cemetery, Mississauga. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Alan Davidson
At Etobicoke General Hospital on Thursday, January 15, 2004 in his 51st year, Alan Davidson dearly beloved wife of Irene Oseli and loving father of Shea, Kyle and Maxx. Dear brother of Jill. Dr. Alexander (Alex) Matzko
Peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 20, 2004. Loving father of Betty Matzko-Barrette and her husband Michael, Elaine Matzko-Bonnett and her husband Jay and Karen Matzko-Kuryluk and her husband Nick. Alex will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Stephanie and Matthew Barrette and Julianna and Zachary Kuryluk. Alex is survived by his brother Dr. Peter Matzko. Alex practiced as an Anaesthesiologist at the Montreal General, York Finch and Shouldice Hospital. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. The Orthodox Rite of Funeral will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Panakhyda (prayers) will be on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery. The family would appreciate having donations to William Olser Health Centre Palliative Care Unit or trees planted in memory of Alex.

James Raphael Cantwell
Peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at St. Joseph's Health Centre. Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Dear loving father to Lillian Walsh (Don), Charlie (Mary), John (Wendy) and Cynthia. Dear grandfather to Tanya and Amanda Floro, Jessica Jackman, Michael, Matthew and James Cantwell, Dawn and Dustin Walsh and Christopher and Christina Cantwell. Also sadly missed by his brother Fred, sister Madeline and many other family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Darinka Mihaela Cerar
Beloved Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt and great Aunt to many members of the family. Passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at the Toronto Grace Health Centre. Gregory Kudinow
Born in 1911 in Kpachie, Russia. Peacefully on January 29, 2004 at Runnymede Healthcare Centre. Dear uncle to Robert (Bud) Patrick of Toronto and Gail Dredge of Kitchener. Predeceased by his brother Mikhail Kudinow and his sister Palegea Fidiav, both in Russia. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. Peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2004, beloved wife of James. Dear aunt to Bob, Gail, Carol, Stan and Tom. Suddenly with her family by her side on Sunday, February 1, 2004 at Credit Valley Hospital. Georgia was an inspiration, devoted to helping her family. Loving mother of Stelio (Pam), Mary (Charlie). Beloved Giagia (Yaya) to Melissa, Xenophon, Michael, Matthew and James. She will be remembered by her 3 brothers and 5 sisters, many nieces, nephews and all relatives and friends. Carrie Helen Storms
Passed away peacefully at Trillium Health Centre – Mississauga site on February 2, 2004. Carrie was in her 51st year and had fought a long and courageous battle. Carrie leaves behind her dearly beloved husband Donald Simons. She was the loving daughter of Jack and Roberta Storms and a dear sister to Diane Forgie. She will also be sadly missed by her father and mother-in-law Wallace and Dorothy Simons. Brother-in-law Mark Simons and his wife Jan, Glen Simons and his wife Melina, sister-in-law Debbie Travers and her husband Bernie, Kim Simons. Anna Kufil
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 12, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 59, at St. Joseph's Health Centre. She will be sadly missed by her loving mother Maria and predeceased by her father Jerry. She will also be missed by many friends. (WWII Veteran, Royal Canadian Navy, Member R.C.L. Branch 101, long-time employee at Stelco for over 40 years, employee at Exhibition Place for 10 years and long-time resident of Long Branch) On Sunday, February 15, 2004 at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Frances. Father of Diane Jeremiah (Bob) of Oakville and grandfather of Marnie and Stacey. Predeceased by his son Ken. Survived by his sisters Lottie Smith (late Bill), Ollie Cox (late George), Elsie Wilke (Jim) and Stella Somerville (late Ron). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Leslie, Emily, Herman, Irene, Sam, Dorothy and Bob. Also survived by his dearest friend Bea Campsall and many nieces, nephews and other family. Peacefully at Tullamore Nursing Home in Brampton on Thursday, February 19, 2004, beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Boyd). Loving father of Ralph. He will be greatly missed by his nieces Shirley, Dorothy and Margaret. He will also be missed by friends and staff at the Tullamore Nursing Home. Private funeral arrangements.
