KELLY, Kevin – Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Leonard A. Miller Centre on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Kevin Kelly, age 68 years, former Executive Member of the R.C.L. Branch #1. Predeceased by his son James; parents Michael and Genevieve (James); brothers Desmond, Diarmuid; sister Zita Hand; brothers-in-law: Gerald Connolly, Clarence Davis and Ronald Howse; sister-in-law Helen Kelly; father-in-law Jack Westcott. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 45 years, Phyllis (Howse); son Jerry (Bonnie); daughters: Donna and Rosalind; grandchildren: April, Kimberlee, Ashton, Christina and Sean James; brothers Aidan and Bren; sisters: Sheila Connolly, Maureen Davis, Mary Tilley; mother-in-law Blanche Westcott; sister-in-law Josephine Kelly; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially all his friends and good country buddies from Mahers. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 13th, 2004, at a time to be announced from St. Teresa’s Church. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Mary Margaret Kelsey
KELSEY, Mary Margaret (nee Brien) – Passed peacefully away at her home in Kilbride on Sunday, August 29th, 2004, Mary Margaret Kelsey, born October 17, 1920. Predeceased by her husband C.R. (Ron) Kelsey; her parents Patrick and Elsie Brien; and her brothers Gus, Eric, Billy, and Robert. Leaving to mourn her seven children: Charles, Patricia (Larry Moores), Robert (Mary), Paul, Anne, John (Sharon Walsh), Jane (John Crocker); eleven grandchildren: Brian, Jennifer, Robyn, John, Samantha, Gregory, Susan, Laura, Thomas, Kelsey, Sarah; sisters: Elsie Murray and Patricia Wygal; and sister-in-law and friend Eileen Brien. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all her friends and relatives. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Tuesday, August 31st, and Wednesday, September 1st, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 2nd, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road. Interment to follow at the R. C. Cemetery, Kilbride. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the MS Society.

KING, Helen Josephine– Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Center on Saturday, August 14, 2004, aged 79 years. Predeceased by her mother Mary Alice (Mame) King (nee McCormack) and father Stephen King; brothers: Michael and John (Jack) King; sisters: Margaret Horlick, Evelyn King, and Jean Scott. Leaving to mourn brothers: Bill (Jean), Eddie (Drew), and Stevie (Shirley); sisters: Laura Trask (Edgar), Mary Underwood Clements (Bill); sisters-in-law: Mercedes King, and Mary King as well as a great number of nieces and nephews. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. -10 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory made to a charity of ones choice.

Paul Patrick Knox
KNOX, Paul Patrick – Passed peacefully away at his residence on Thursday, August 5, 2004, age 46 years. Predeceased by his mother, Ruby. Leaving to mourn his wife Mary and her family Darrin, Ken, Corina, Patricia and Cory; daughter Autumn and her mother Gail; brothers and sisters: Vince (Alice), Bob, Beth (Ray Wade), Patsy (Mike Tremblett), Barbara, Eugene (Beth), Joan (John Downey), Bernie (Jim Kean), Gerard (Eileen); as well as his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large circle of friends. Bernard MacNeill
MacNeill, Bernard – Passed peacefully away at home, in the presence of his family, on Wednesday, August 11, 2004. Bernard MacNeill, age 65 years. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Anne MacNeill. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife, Shirley, who cared for him through his long and difficult illness; children: Allyson (Dieter Hajek), Jeff (Susan), Janine (Robert O’Keefe), Jennifer; grandchildren: Adam, Ryan, Sara, Angela, Jason, Michelle and Rebecca; brothers: John (Emmie), Chuck (Judy); sisters: Elizabeth (Ralph Campbell), Cecelia (Ken Deucette) and Carol MacNeill and a large number of nieces and nephews. Upon Bernard’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Thursday, August 12 and Friday, August 13, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. A Celebration of Bernard’s life will take place on Saturday, August 14th, 2004 at 9:45 a.m. from St. Pius X Church. MAHER, Mary Agnes – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, August 7th, 2004, Mary Agnes Maher, age 71 years. Predeceased by her husband William J. Maher, parents William and Marguerite Martin; brother Ron Martin. Leaving to mourn four sons: Terry (Carol-Ann), Brian (Brenda), Gerard (Rosemary), and Dennis; one daughter Bonnie (Chris); six grandchildren: Krista, Tiffany, Justin, Jason, Jessica and Jarrett; sister Betty White (Bill), Michigan; sister-in-law: Helen LaClaire, New York and Frances Martin, Torbay; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. MANNING, Elizabeth — Passed peacefully away on Monday, August 16, 2004 at the L.A. Miller Center, Elizabeth Manning, aged 85 years. Predeceased by six brothers and four sisters. Leaving to mourn sisters: Rita Summers (Ron) and Rose Molloy; special nephew Jerome Manning (Rosie) and special niece Bernice Thomas, her special friend Barbara Garland, special cousin Rita Callahan, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Harry Joseph Maynard
MAYNARD, Harry Joseph – Passed peacefully away on Saturday, August 21, 2004, in the presence of his loving family at his home in Flatrock, Harry Joseph Maynard, age 89 years. Predeceased by his father, James and mother, Nora; grandson Neil Maynard; son-in-law Raymond Maher, brothers Jack and Tom; sisters Nell and Dorothy. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted and loving wife of 57 years, Margaret (Power); his six daughters: Maureen Maher, Catherine (Gerald) Edwards; Marion (Dave) McCarthy; Gen (Gord) Tucker; Theresa (Howie) Wills; Lillian (Ignatius) Penton; five sons: Joe (Joan), David (Cathy Ann), Neil (Debbie), Jim (Melena) and Harry (Doreen); 28 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, special sister-in-law Theresa Maynard, as well as a large circle of special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. McMANN, Mona B. (nee Kinsella) – Passed away at Toronto East General Hospital on August 13th, 2004. Mona B. McMann (Kinsella), age 55 years, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father and her two brothers. Leaving to mourn her son David, mother Katherine; sisters: Kay, Clara, Mary, Rosarie, Deborah, Eleanor, Anne Marie and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.. Visitation Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 20th, 2004, at 10:00 am from St. Francis of Assisi Church, Outer Cove. MILLER, Josephine - Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Center on Saturday, August 7, 2004. Josephine Miller (nee Pendergast) age 70 years. Predeceased by her husband Maxwell Miller, April 23, 1985; and her parents, Patrick and Mary Pendergast. Left with loving memories are two sons: Ronald, St. John’s, Maxwell (Lisa), Scarborough, Ontario; six daughters: Joan Rose (Eric), Clarenville, NL; Maxine Siwinski, Oakville, Ontario; Carol O’Brien (Paul), St. John’s; Patricia Miller (Danny Stewart), Edmonton, Alberta; Mary Cullen, Scarborough, Ontario; Dorothy Miller (Scott Morris), St. John’s; nine grandchildren: Michael Rose, Melissa Burry, Mike, Paul and Zachary O’Brien, Jason and Jessica Miller, Leah Stewart, Amanda Cullen, James Miller; great-grandchildren Tessa Stewart and Allison Burry; two sisters, one brother, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends . Cremation has taken place. A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 11 a.m. from Caul’s Chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Predeceased by his parents Edmund and Elizabeth Mitchell; sisters Bernice and Enid; brothers Arch and Oscar, and special grandson Blair Mitchell. Leaving to mourn his sons: Willie (Beverly), Oscar (Debbie), John (Judy), Neil (Darlene), and Ronnie (Denise); daughters: Sandra (Gary Martin) and Linda (Tony Vincent); 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters: Blanch (Calvin), Louise (Warrick); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. POWER, Daniel Bernard – Passed away suddenly at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, August 04, Daniel Bernard Power, aged 82 years. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 50 years Laura; daughters: Regina and Denise (Edward) Mahoney; son: Wayne (Selma). Three grandchildren: Ian Power, Leah and Liam Mahoney. One sister Marie (Kevin) Chaytor. Sisters-in-law: Bridget Tobin, Anna Fitzpatrick, Patricia Tilley, Marie Clemens (Derm) and Rita Power; brothers-in-law: Mark (Marion) Fitzpatrick and John Fitzpatrick (Margaret).
