FLEMING, Samuel P. – Passed peacefully away at his residence in the presence of his family on Tuesday, December 21, 2004, Samuel P. Fleming, age 85, of Torbay, NL, formerly of Melrose, Trinity Bay. Leaving to mourn his wife of 55 years, Angela (Mackey); sons William, Alberta; Samuel J., Alberta; Don (Donna), Dennis (Shelley); daughters: Eileen Finch (Dave), Margie Hancock (Doug), Joanne (Derek Penney); seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a large circle of close friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, TORBAY. Visitation Tuesday from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m .and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. Funeral Mass on Thursday, December 23rd, 2004, at 2 p.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay. Interment to follow at the R. C. Cemetery, Bauline Line. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Holy Trinity Church Building Fund.

FOLEY, Isabel Theresa (St. John’s) - Died as the result of a tragic accident on December 26, 2004, along with her cherished grandson, John Robert Michael Hann, age 8 years, beloved son of Rosemary and Desmond Hann. Predeceased by her husband Robert Foley, July 1998. GRIFFIN, Ronald Joseph- Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Saturday December 18, 2004 at St. Clares Mercy Hospital. Ronald Joseph Griffin, Retired C.N. Employee aged 67 years. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Griffin. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Lilly (nee Rodgers); daughters Catherine Brophy, and Dawn O’Rourke (Jack); son John; grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Mícheál, and Ciarán; sisters Sharon, Brenda, Donna, and Reverna; brother Tom (Heather) and families; special aunts Jean O’Brien and Sheila Alyward;sister-in-law Yvonne Forsey (Albert); brother-in-law Eric Rogers (Lena) and a large circle of friends and relatives. Resting at Caul’s funeral home LeMarchant Rd, St.John’s, on Sunday from 7p.m.-9p.m. and Monday from 2p.m.–4p.m. & 7p.m.-9p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, at 9:30 a.m. from St.Pius X Church. HENNEBURY, William – Passed away suddenly on December 10th, 2004, after a brief illness. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Bride Holden; sister Marie Ronayne, niece Claire Ronayne-Walsh. Leaving to mourn his nieces, Paulette Ronayne and Michelle Hounsell (Tom); nephew Paul Ronayne (Special friend Betty); brother-in-law Edward Ronayne; special grandnieces and nephews: Robyn, Erin, Kathryn and Kyle Ronayne; Francesca Walsh, Elizabeth Cheng and Nicholas, Mark and Kielan Hounsell, as well as many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife Nell, January, 1966; two brothers and four sisters. Leaving to mourn his daughter Kathleen Rossiter (Martin); six grandchildren: Tom (Marg), Marie, Nancy (Loyola), Paul, Karen (Dan), Brian (Stacy); 10 loving great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends in Cape Broyle and St. John’s. Francis J. Kavanagh
KAVANAGH, Francis J. – Passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, at his residence on December 1, 2004, Frank Kavanagh, age 69. Leaving to mourn with many cherished memories, his loving wife of 46 years, Joan (Lawlor); children: Patricia Slade, Janet Kavanagh, Brenda (Richard) Dunne, Frank, Tony and Denis (Andrea); six loving grandchildren: Adam and Colleen Slade, Katie Dunne, Kollin Kavanagh, Sara and Jillian Kavanagh. Also leaving to mourn his sad loss are his siblings, Bernice (Cecil) Joy, John (Judy) Kavanagh, Jill (James) Colford, Peg (John) Shea; and sister-in-law Ann Kavanagh. Predeceased by brother Robert Kavanagh and sister Katherine Walsh. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of friends and colleagues from over 33 years of dedicated service with Scouts Canada. Predeceased by her husband John; sons: Wayne, Michael and Eric; grandson Chesley; sisters: Margaret and Phyllis; brothers: Thomas, Gerald and Patrick (Margaret). Leaving to mourn brothers: Johnny Bennett (Jean), Michael Bennett (Betty); daughters: Agnes (Edgar), Bernadette, Veronica, Paula and Peggy; sons: Johnny (friend), Patrick (Brenda), Danny, Gerald (Christine), Gerard (Sheila), Jimmy (Kim), Paul, Richard (Michelle), Tony (Georgina); 30 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as other family and many friends. Eleanor Louise Manning
Manning, Eleanor Louise (nee Thomas) 1907-2004 – Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Monday, Dec. 27th 2004, Eleanor Louise Manning. Predeceased by her husband William on December 26, 2003. Left with memories of a devoted and generous mother are her four children Bill (Mick) Fergus, O.N., Loretta (Max Vere-Holloway), Portugal Cove, Peter (Sadie), Torbay, and Glendine (Bruce Whalen), St. John’s, twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, sisters Gertrude Butler, St. John’s, and Margaret Oest, New Jersey, sisters-in-law Kay Thomas, Winnipeg, Rose Molloy, St. John’s, Rita Summers (Ron), St. John’s, and Bridget Manning, Bell Island, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. A very special thank you to all the staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, especially 3-West who took care of Mom over the past four years. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. McGrath, Daisy (nee Murphy) – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, December 01, 2004, age 52 years. Left with fond and loving memories, husband James; children: Dottie (Dave), Edward (Tammy) and George; grandchildren: David (Boog), Nicole, Allen, Dominick, Adrian, Thomas; brothers: Leo (Late Charmaine), Pat (Roseann), Fred (Joanne), Mike, Paul (Doreen); sisters: Dorothy (Keith), Pam (Steve), Carol (Charles), Rosie (Frank), and families, two special aunts, Shirley and Florence, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
