Lee Thomas - Passed Peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on July 15th, 2004 Thomas Joseph Lee, age 72 years. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Clara of Lee's Bus Service Petty Hr. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories. Wife Patricia (nee Furlong) and 5 sons. Jackie (Brenda), Brian (Kim) Ralph (Gloria) Pat ( Pam) Bobby( Cheryl) and Lynn Lee Also Special Friends Rhonda Collins. Twelve Grandchildren, Three Brothers Alva, Jim & Jack Lee all of Petty Hr. Also a large circle of family and friends. Resting At Cauls Funeral Home LeMarchant Rd. Visitation Friday 7 pm-10 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10 am-10 pm. Funeral Mass on Monday July 19, 2004 at St. Joseph Church Petty Hr. at 10:00 am. Cremation to follow. Cards & Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in his memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Predeceased by her husband Maurice Lundrigan 1975 and daughter Shirley Barclay 1984. Leaving to mourn daughter Barbara Scurrey (Frank); sons: Ronald (Shirley) and Gerald (Margaret), Ontario; five grandchildren: Laurie (Glenn Carew) and Stephen Scurrey, Pam and Melinda Barclay and Peter Lundrigan; four great-grandchildren: Brittney, Christopher, Elly and Luke, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Friday, July 9, 7-10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 2-5 p.m., 7-10 p.m. Funeral service on Monday, July 12, 2004 from Caul's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Mt. MEYERS, Peter T. – Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veteran’s Pavilion, on Saturday, July 17th, 2004, Peter T. Meyers, WWII Veteran, 166th Royal Artillery, aged 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Casey and Emma Meyers; brothers Tom and Bill; and sister Florence Summers. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Margaret; daughters: Mary (Bob King) of St. John’s; Helen (Chris Wilson) of Brampton, Ontario; son Robert (Maureen Penney) of St. John’s; four grandchildren: Justin Meyers, Robert Wilson, Christopher Meyers and Lauren Penney; sister Isabel Lawlor of St. John’s; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. MULLINS, Robert L.-Passed peacefully away on July 22nd , 2004 in the presence of his loving family at the L.A. Miller Center, Palliative Care Unit, Robert Leonard Mullins, aged 58 years. Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Eva Mullins; his sisters: Marguerite Scott, Edith Mullins and his sister-in-law Paula Murphy. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Tina; his sons: Chris (Beth) Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Craig (Janice) Paradise, and Danny. One grand-daughter Meagan. His sisters: Ellen Beck (Carl) Phoenix, Arizona, Barbara Last (Robert) Courtney, British Columbia. His brothers-in-law: Tom Murphy (Betty) and Jim Murphy as well as many other relatives and friends. Bridget Mary Murphy
MURPHY, Bridget Mary (Dunne) – Passed peacefully away at her son’s residence on July 1st, 2004. Bride Murphy (Dunne) of Kilbride. Predeceased by her husband Michael J. Murphy on March 4th, 1979, and her parents Margaret and William Dunne; brothers: Harry and Gerald and sister Margaret Hamlyn. Leaving to mourn with many loving memories, her only son Allan Murphy, daughter-in-law Sharon (Kerrivan); two special grandchildren, Chad and Allanah; sisters: Eileen Dooley, Marie Butler, Theresa Murphy, Sheila Walsh (Kevin), Helen Dunne; and a large circle of special nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Father Ken Walsh for his home visits and prayers and to Dr. Catherine Mann for her special care and for going above and beyond the call of duty. Also special thanks to her sister Helen for her tender loving care during her time of illness and her special friends Marie Kennedy, Marie Williams and Mary Walsh (Ryan); niece Jackie Tucker (Hamlyn) and special friend Florence Kerrivan. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Kathleen, his sister Paula (October 10, 1998), and brother-in-law, Robert Mullins (July 22, 2004). Leaving to mourn his wife, Betty; son: Sean (wife, Tammy), and daughter, Nicole (Scott Gibbons); sister, Tina Mullins; brother; Jim; mother-in-law, Constance Costigan, Harbour Main; sisters-in-law: Ella Woodford and Irene Costigan; brothers-in-law Hank Costigan (Linda), Bill Costigan (Sheila) and many other relatives and friends; also, his friends and co-workers in the St. John's Regional Fire Department, both active and retired members. MYRICK, Thomas Benedict — Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Wednesday, July 14, 2004, Thomas Benedict Myrick, formerly of Cape Race in his 85th year. Leaving to mourn his wife of 53 years Mary (Sutton), his sons: Tommy (Valerie), Francis (Brenda), Neil (Jennifer); daughters Noreen (Martin), Elaine (Gerry) and loving grandchildren: Ishe Barrett, Leif and Alexander Myrick and Kathleen Flynn; also leaving to mourn his brother Frank (Kay), sisters Madge, Frances and Anne, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. on Thursday, July 15 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., 7 p.m. - 10 p.m., and Friday, July 16, 12 noon - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 17 at the Basilica 9:30 a.m. Internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. NEVILLE, Bridget (nee Croke) — Passed away peacefully at St. Patrick's Mercy Home in St. John's on July 28th, 2004 in her 81st year. Bridget (Bride) is predeceased by her husband Jim; daughter Loretta and son-in-law Bill Murray; and grandson Mel Joseph Mahon. Leaving to mourn her son Patrick; daughter Donna and husband Michael Skipton; grandchildren: James Mahon (Fernie, BC) and Deborah Mahon (Toronto, ON), Stephen and Jennifer Murray and Leighan and Jacqueline Neville; and great-granddaughter Brittany. Her daughter Donna would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Patrick's Mercy Home for the outstanding kindness, care and compassion given to Bride over the past five months. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi. NOFTALL, Kevin Joseph – Passed away suddenly after a short illness, at St. Clare’s Hospital, on July 5, 2004, Kevin Joseph Noftall, age 52 years. Left to mourn are his wife of 15 years, Florence (Dunford) Noftall; parents Robert and Mary Noftall, Bell Island; brothers: Robert (Ann) Raymond, Billy, John, Gordon (Patsy deceased), Tony (Corrina), Bernard; sisters: Patricia Newman (Joe), Elizabeth Perlin (Keith), Mary Noftall, Carol Ann Vander Voort (Rick), Jacqueline Boyce (Edward), Fay Carroll (Alonzo), Roslyn Noftall and Kay Noftall; brother-in-law Wayne Dunford (Cora); sister-in-law Margaret Burshett (Dave); sister-in-law Rita Clarke (Richard); special friends Gilda; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Muriel Gertrude O'Leary
O'LEARY, Muriel Gertrude — (March 8, 1916 - July 12, 2004). Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Monday, July 12, 2004, Muriel Gertrude O'Leary. Born in Portugal Cove South in 1916 and has been a resident of St. John's since the 1930's. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Ellen O'Leary, brother: Cyril, sister: Irene Dowden, brother-in-law: Brendan Perry and nephew: Donald Perry. Leaving to mourn her sister: Helen Perry, Corner Brook; brother: Brendan (Marie), Portugal Cove South; Nieces and nephews and their families: Wayne, Bill, David and Ken Perry, Brenda Alteen, Sharon Power, Craig, Rick, Bernadine and Leanne O'Leary, Cathy Skinner and Robert Dowden. Also some very special cousins and life-long friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place Thursday, July 15, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church. Mildred O'Toole
O’TOOLE, Mildred (nee Evans) – Passed peacefully away at Escasoni Complex on July 7, 2004. Mildred O’Toole, aged 93 years. Predeceased by her husband and Raymond June 16, 1987. Will be sadly missed and mourned by daughter Sheila Downey (Rick), children Michael and Mark; daughter Patsy Chafe (Hubert) and family. Also leaving to mourn many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and very special granddaughter Gerri Bhnisch. Special thanks to the staff and doctors on 3 west during her last days. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Predeceased by his mother Margaret, nephew Paul, father-in-law John Devereaux and brothers-in-law Gerard, Wayne and Perry Devereaux. POWER, Catherine (Pike) – Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on her 92nd, birthday, Catherine Power. Predeceased by her husband Patrick Power. Leaving to mourn sons: William (Janet) and family; Jim, Vancouver; David and family; Ron (Delores) and family; special friends Tess Murphy and Mary Furlong; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation Sunday and Monday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Tuesday, July 13th, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. from Caul’s Chapel, with cremation to follow. RICKETTS, Vera Jean — Passed peacefully away at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, on July 28th, 2004. Jean Rickets of Torbay at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband Maurice Ricketts (May 4, 2001). Leaving to mourn four children: Trudy Everson (Joe) of Flatrock, Randy Ricketts of South Carolina, Andrea Hickey (Jim) of Outer Cove and Rick Ricketts (Tina) of Torbay; seven grandchildren: Dawn McGrath (Brian), Shelly Thorne (Darrin), Stephen Everson (Laura), Corinna White (Bruce), Deena Pine (Jason), Jamie Hickey and special grandson Allan Ricketts; five great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. A special thank you to the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home for all their love and care over the years. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay.
