Morgan, Barbara Ann. - Passed peacefully away at 3:45 a.m. at the Health Science Center on Saturday, May 15, 2004, Barbara Ann Morgan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her 2 sons; Wade, St. John;s, Scotty, Edmonton, AB, Granddaughter, Mother, 2 Sisters, 4 brothers and a large number of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service to take place on Monday, May 17, 2004 from Caul’s Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery Kenmount Rd.

William R. Mullins
MULLINS, William R. – Passed peacefully away at his residence on May 9, 2004. William Mullins, aged 77 years. Former Retired employee of the CN Dockyard. Predeceased by son Randy; parents William and Johanna; brothers Lawrence and Eric; sister Mary; brothers-in-law Otto and Harold. Leaving to mourn his wife of 55 years Elizabeth; daughters Donna (Ron) Fleming, Marilyn (Jamie Squires) and Debbie (Ab) Taylor; son Wayne (Rita); grandchildren Rhonda, Shane, Darren, Craig, Krista, Deanne, Ashley, Megan, Tara-Lynn; great-grandchildren Brittany and Brandon; sisters Kathleen Byrne and Bernice Dillon; brothers Pat (Betty) and Jed (Sandra); sister-in-law Mary Murphy; also a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. Visitation on Monday , 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Tuesday, 10 a.m. – 12 noon, 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Corpus Christi Church, Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Kilbride Cemetery, Bay Bulls Rd. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Elizabeth, brothers Thomas, Edward, Harold and Patrick and sisters Josephine Breen and Bride Coady. Leaving to mourn brothers: Father Dan Murphy and Gerald (Marie); sisters-in-law Mary, Bernadette, Mary. Also leaving to mourn 18 nieces, 14 nephews and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A special thank you to the staff at St. Patrick's Mercy Home. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home on Monday afternoon, May 17 and Tuesday, May 18, 2004. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at St. Theresa's Church at 9:30 a.m.. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Predeceased by her loving husband, Leonard Murphy in 1998. Leaving to mourn her daughter, Joan Murphy and her beloved granddaughter, Maria Conkey; sister, Margaret Smith (Leonard), as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation on Saturday, May 22nd, from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, May 24th, 2004, at 9:45 a.m. from St. Pius X Church. O’NEILL, Olive T. — Passed peacefully away after a short illness, in the presence of her loving family, at the Health Sciences Center, St. John’s, on Friday May 7th, 2004 Olive T. O’Neill aged 77 years. Predeceased by her husband, William in 1974. Leaving to mourn; daughters, Betty (Rob) Campbell and Mary O’Neill both of St. John’s; sons, Reg (Paula), Harbour Grace; Ed, St. John’s; Paul (Andrea), Ottawa, Ontario; Adrian, Barrie, Ontario; Grandchildren; Andrea (Allan), Susan, Karla, Dale, Michael and Erin O’Neill, Gillian and Andrew (Elizabeth) Campbell, Mark Combden, also Great-Grandchildren Arabella and Arianna Campbell. Cremation has taken place at her request. Visitation will be held at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday May 9th, 2004 from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from St. Pius X Church on Monday May 10th, 2004 at 9:45 a.m. Inurnment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Left with fond and loving memories, her children: Patricia (Orville Pelley), Anita (John Butler), David (Vivian), Gerard (Karen), Chris, Len, Sharon (Bill Gough), Elaine, Jim, Mike (Debbie), Gregory (Rhonda); 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchidlren; brothers: Edgar (Lorraine), Jack (Anita) and Anthony (Patricia); sisters: Marie (Jim) and Louise; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his father Leo and mother Marcella. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 32 years, Linda; son Brad (Susan), Halifax, NS: daughter Krista (John Willcott); also leaving to mourn brothers Jerome (Gail), George (Michelle); sisters Bernice Snook (Clyde), Alice, Mary Rumsey (Dave), Joan Rowe (Lloyd) and Ellen; special cousin Gerald O’Brien; brother-in-law Ed Sears (Donna); sisters-in-law Lorraine Carroll (Wayne) and Suzanne Peddle (Bill); many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of relatives and friends, and man’s best friend Blake. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. PITTMAN, Philip –Passed peacefully away in the presence of family at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, May 02, 2004. Philip Pittman, formerly of Merasheen Island, Placentia Bay, aged 67 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine, in 1998. Left with fond and loving memories are son Keith (Debbie) and grandchildren Samuel, Luke and Isaiah and daughter Karen Doyle (Bill) and grandson, Jacob. Also left to mourn are sisters, Minnie Murphy of St. John’s, Marguerite Whiteland (Ritchie) of Ontario, Cecily of British Columbia and brothers, Vince (Betty) of Montreal, Jim (Nellie) of Wabush and a large circle of nephews, nieces and friends especially dear friends, Dinn and Loretta Lake, John and Barb Walsh, Roberta Hallett, Stephen and Betty Greene, Greg and Regina Mullowney, and Theresa Greene. POWER, William Augustus (Gus) – Passed peacefully away at the Escasoni Senior’s Complex on Wednesday, May 26th, 2004, Gus Power of Logy Bay, 84 years old. Predeceased by his wife Annie in 1994. Leaving to mourn their sad loss are son Gus (Carlie), Milton, ON; daughters: Shirley (Wayne), Fredericton, NB; Angela (Alex), Mount Pearl; Irene (Adrian), Logy Bay; eight grandchildren; sisters: Perpetua, St. John’s; Isabel, Victoria BC; Magdalene, Sydney, NS; brothers: Kevin, Stephen and Charlie, Logy Bay. Douglas Joseph Ridgeley
RIDGELEY, Douglas Joseph — It is with great sadness that the family of the late Douglas Joseph Ridgeley announce his passing in their presence on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, aged 85 years. Member of Knights of Columbus Terra Nova Council 1452; Past Faithful Navigator of Archbishop Howley Assembly 4th. Degree Knights of Columbus; and Former Master 4th. Degree of Newfoundland and Labrador. Predeceased by sons-in-law: Tom Lawlor (1995) and John Cullimore (1999); three brothers and three sisters. Leaving to mourn with fond memories his beloved and devoted wife and partner of 62 years, Eleanor (Loveridge); their five children: Mary Dowell, Independence Missouri, (her children Sandy, Lynne, and Ian and their father Carl Dowell); Barbara Lawlor (Joseph McIsaac), St. John's (her sons: Paul, Michael and David); Douglas Jr. (Christine Pilbrim), C.B.S. (his children: Jason, Jaime and Missy); Cathy (Joe Rice), St. John's and her children Amanda and John and Peggy Cullimore (Doug Babstock), Mount Pearl and her son Zachary. He will also be missed by fifteen great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. Also leaving to mourn two brothers: Jim and Charlie (Dot); one sister: Gertrude Taylor and sister-in-law: Alma Ridgeley. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. (1988), son-in-law Alex MacDonald (1997)her four darling children: Ronald, Donald, Monica and Kevin. Leaving to mourn her three sons: Richard (Gertrude), John (Shirley), Edward (Kathy Turner); four daughters: Rose (Gerry Drover), Elaine (Bill Nugent), Regina Wade and Lynn (Gregg Griffin), with whom she resided; eleven grandchildren: Sean (Debbie) Roche, Wayne (Donna) Roche, Michelle (Frank Connors), Pat Roche and Paul (Carlotta) Roche; Kerri MacDonald, Karl and Krista Nugent, Scott and Mark Wade; special grandson Daniel Griffin; ten great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret Roche, Ontario and special friend Mary (Larkin) Roche, as well as many other relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn her loving husband Ron; daughter Renee (Jeff Parsons), sons: Ronnie (Carol), Michael (Debbie), Greg (Connie), Glen (Darlene) and Paul (Sherry); mother Mary Hanlon; brother Mick (Daphne); sisters: Toni (John Lundrigan), Margie (Walter Candow); 12 grandchildren; special friends Marlene Manning and Roxanne Hall; as well as many other relatives and friends. Great Grandchildren; Alicia, Rebecca, Ryan, and Stephen. Sisters; Peggy, Calgary, Tess (Johnny), Kingston, Agnes (Corner Brook). Also leaving to mourn a large circle of other relatives and friends, especially Susan Roberts, Bob and Louise Tipple. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home LeMarchant Road. Visitation to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 – 5 and 7 – 9. Funeral service will take place from St. Matthew’s, Cowan Heights, time to be announced. Interment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A special thanks to the wonderful dedicated staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their loving care. Special thanks also to the Eucharistic Ministers of St. Matthew’s Parish, who visited her faithfully every Sunday for the past several years.
