BISHOP, Cecil Francis (Retired Stevedore) – Passed away with his family at his side at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on April 1, 2006, Cecil Francis Bishop, in his 78th year. Predeceased by his wife Adelaide in 1990. He leaves to mourn with precious memories, his 10 children: Sheila (Harry), Ruby, Ann (Bren), Wanda (Frank), Elizabeth (Hector), Jack (Charlyn), Jim (Janet), Bob (Norma), Cecil (Tina), Bill (Evelyn); brother Jack Bishop (Patsy); sister Annabelle Bearns (Ed); 26 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Monday, April 03, 2006 from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. from St. John Bosco Parish, Shea Heights. Cremation has taken place. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. May his spirit rest in peace.

BOLAND, Michael Joseph – Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in the presence of his loving family on Friday, April 07, 2006, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents, Michael and Jose, brothers Jim and Larry, sister Mary Barry. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Mary (Evans); also his cherished family Gary (Barb), Janet, Paul (Leila), Mary Lynn (Roger) Tuff and Michelle (Kevin Burt), Churchill Falls, Labrador; grandchildren: Jennifer and Stephen Boland, Leanne (Scott) and Lesley (Jason) Boland, Shawn, David and Maria Tuff and Danielle and Joshua Burt; sister Hannah Sears (Ray); brothers: Rev. Wm. J. Boland, Edmonton, Alberta; Philip (Margaret) and Frank (Joan), Brigus; as well as many other relatives and friends. BUTLER, Raymond Joseph – Passed peacefully away at his home on Saturday April 8, 2006. Raymond Joseph Butler, aged 59 years. Predeceased by his wife Mary Butler (Lake) (nee Davis) (1999), his father Michael (1965), mother Lillian (1999), brothers: David (1991), Michael (2002) and Gerry (2004). Leaving to mourn his loss are his sons: Todd, Derek and Ray Jr.; brothers: Frank (Josh) wife Brenda, and Kevin; niece: Shirley; sisters-in-laws: Margie Davis, Florence Davis, Debbie Davis and Margie Butler; brother-in-law: Bobby Davis. As well as other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home. LeMarchant Road. Mary Lillian Byrd
BYRD, Mary Lillian (nee French) – Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving friends at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on April 26, 2006. Mary Lillian Byrd in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband James and her parents Jessie and Eli French. Left with fond and loving memories: Chris, Elizabeth, Cyra, Giselle and Tiffany Belbin and Becky Sjare as well as other friends. Special thanks to the staff at the Hoyles Home 2 West for their loving care. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Left with fond and loving memories, her mother Germaine Rose and step-father Lloyd; her father Philip Cook; brothers Sean (Connie) and Derek (Annette) and sister Kayla; nephew Liam; niece Olivia; as well as many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn his mom Hilda; precious daughter Meagan, stepson Michael and precious grandson Brady; sisters Peggy Cooney (Bob), Sandra Ring (boyfriend Rick Gregory), Wanda and friend Linda, Michelle Wheeler (Randy) and Lisa in Montreal; brothers: Larry (Frances), Shane (Deanne), Ontario, a large number of nieces and nephews. GREENE, Stephen P. – Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Hospital on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, Stephen Patrick Greene of Kilbride, formerly of Witless Bay, age 78 years. Predeceased by his parents, Fred and Anne, his three sisters, Catherine, Mary and Loretta and three brothers Freddie, Francie and Jimmy and granddaughter Kristina. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and soul mate of fifty years, Elizabeth (Betty) (nee Ryan); his five children: Sharmaine (John), Carol Martin, Joan Walsh (Patrick), Ken (Donna) and Barry (Christine) and their families; his eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Leaving to mourn loving and devoted parents James and Shirley Hanlon; sister Paula and brother Jamie; aunts Florence (Wylie), Marion, Lois (Jim), Gertrude, Joan (Frank) and Helen (Ed); uncles Alex (Marjorie), Frank, Jim (Betty), David, Gary and Dennis; special friends; also a large circle of cousins, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas 1993; daughters: Clara 1970, Bridget 1943 and grandson Tommy Best in 1976. Leaving to mourn four sons: Bernard (Doreen), Pat (Bern), Val (Roseanna), Vince (Helen); daughter Joan Best (Cec) of Alberta; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Mercedes McCrowe, Theresa Power (Boston, Mass. USA), twin sisters Mary Joe Dunphy and Betty Abbott; one brother William Jarvis (Leona); special nephew Peter Manning and nieces Anna Nolan and Doreen Boudreau; special friends Ray and Elizabeth Butler; Marian Bolger and Violet Sheaves; also members of the Adventure 50 Plus Club, Paradise.
