FORTUNE, Edna E.
Suddenly on Tuesday January 16, 2001 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 82. Edna, dearly beloved mother of Ralph, Sandra, Valerie and the late John. Loved grandmother of Shirley, Melonie, Stephanie, Rachel, Raymond, Tylah, Anthony, Hilery and Gerema, and great grandmother of Brittiani, Tyler, Christopher, Anthony, Kyle, Sabrina, Dylan and Austin. Edna will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all of her family and friends. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East Oshawa, on Friday January 19th from 11 a.m. with a funeral service in the chapel of the Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa. Memorial donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.

KNIGHT, Margaret E.
On Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa. Margaret Elizabeth Knight, age 92, was raised as a young girl in Port McNicoll. She spent her life as a teacher in Oshawa and retired as a grade one teacher from South Simcoe Public School. Daughter of the late Elizabeth (nee Elmhirst) and Frank Knight. Margaret was the sister of the late Harvey (H. W. Knight) and his late wife Anna. Margaret is missed by her niece Elizabeth and her husband Charles Raven of St. Thomas, and nephews David Knight and his wife Marion of Kitchener and Robert Knight and his wife Marilyn of Uxbridge. She will be missed by her seven great- nieces and nephews, and her seven great-great-nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends at the McIntosh-Anderson Funeral Home Ltd., Oshawa (9O5-433-5558) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. Service and committal in the chapel on Saturday, January 20, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. Interment of Urn in Little Lake Cemetery, Midland at a later date.

STEWART, Dr. Ralph Owen (Veteran WWII)
passed away peacefully at the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre on Monday January 15, 2001 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Dawson). Loving father of Stephen and his wife Sylvia, and Shelley Krever and her husband Howard. Proud grandfather of Justin, Katie, Erica, and Jeffrey. Dear brother of Marion Wells (of Detroit MI), and the late Helen Kutzman, and brother-in-law of John Dawson and Audrey Dawson. Special uncle to Christine and Sandro Zimbalatti. Fondly remembered by his family and many good friends. At the family's request, funeral arrangements are private. With her family at her side at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Sunday, January 14, 2001. Pat Schram of Flesherton in her 63rd year was the wife of the late Archie Bernard. Dearly cherished fiancee of Grenville Byam. Loving mother of Terry (Mary Lynn) of Flesherton and Tara (Ray) McCabe of Shelburne. She will always be loved and remembered by her grandchildren Jessica, Stefanie, Tiffany, Jasmine, Brandi and Jade. Predeceased by her sister Ruth Bennett and parents Al and Nellie Spencer. A lifelong resident of Oshawa, former Kinsmen and past president of the K-40 Club. Hockey grandfather extraordinaire. A major part of his life was the time he spent at his cottage on Gold Lake in the Kawarthas, hunting and fishing with his family.
