March 2nd 1992January 6th, 2001. After a courageous battle with leukemia at the Sick Children’s Hospital on Saturday, January 6, 2001. Our precious little girl has gone to be with Our Lord. Loving daughter of parents Kathy Pittens (nee Landry) and Tony Pittens and stepdaughter of Rhonda Pittens. Will be sadly missed by her 6 year old sister Victoria and her cousins Katie, Sammy, Marcus and Jackson; stepsister Meghan and stepbrother Ian Perry. Cherished granddaughter of Edna Landry and the late Garnet; Martin and Johanna Pittens; great-granddaughter of Marjorie Atkins and Christina Leroux. Sadly missed by all her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Friends may call at Oshawa Funeral Service “Thornton Chapel”, 847 King St. West (721-1234) for visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Peacefully at Sunnycrest Nursing home on Saturday, January 6, 2001, in her 102nd year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Watson. Dear mother of Dorothy French and her husband Doug, of Oshawa, Bob Watson and his wife Yvonne, of Oshawa, and Charlie Watson and his wife Eleanor, of Oshawa. Predeceased by one daughter Edna Rollo and a son Len. Predeceased by three sisters Martha, Nell and Done and four brothers Bert, Wilf, Stan and Bill. Lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Friends were received at Oshawa Funeral Service “Thornton Chapel", 847 King St. West (721-1234) for visitation on Monday, January 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, January 9th at 1:00 P.M. with the Reverend Susanne Abbubl officiating. BAWDEN, Annie (nee Kennedy)
“An angel came down from Heaven and took her by the hand to be reunited with her cherished husband, Harold of 57 years.” Annie was born in Ayre, Scotland, immigrated to Canada when she was 17. Lived in BeIleville until 1990 when she moved to Oshawa. Surrounded by love, at home on January 5, 2001, in her 90th year. She is survived by her children, Esther Cucinato (Gerrnano), Harold Bawden (Betty Anne), John Bawden (Christine), Monica Bawden and special niece Jacqueline Henderson-Dowling (Vince). Grandmother of 8, great-grandmother of 3. Visitation at Oshawa Funeral Service “Thornton Chapel”, 847 King St. West (721-1234) on Monday, January 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Prayers at 7:30 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 9th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church (Corner of Simcoe and Adelaide, Osbawa). As Annie was a long time member of St. Michael Parish in BellevilIe, visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon from 2-3 P.M., followed by Interment at St. James Cemetery, Belleville.
