Peacefully, at home, on Monday, March 26, 2001, at the age of 65. Bob Babcock, loving husband of Gisela. Loving father of Richard and his wife Irene, Mike and his wife Julie, Sandy and her husband Bobby Arcand. Grandpa of Brendan, Connor, Jamie, Bailey, and Taylor. Bob will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A special thank you to his caregivers Kim and Maureen, and Durham Access to Care. BARICHAK, Henry
passed away at Whitby Lakeridge Health March 26, 2001 in his 77th year. Leaves wife June (Grant); daughters Marlena and Valeta; son Andrew; grandchildren Tyler and Cory Scero, Westlee and Jessi Barichak. According to Henry's wishes there will be no formal service. The family invites friends and neighbours to The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 112, 117 Byron St. S., Whitby on Sunday, April 1st from 1pm to 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army, Whitby Branch would be appreciated.

EDWARDS , Stewart
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stewart Edwards announces his sudden passing on Monday, March 26th, 2001. Born in Andover, England on July 23, 1935, Stewart came to Canada with his wife Betty and two children. Stewart was a loving husband and devoted father to Gary and Helen for 35 years. He will be forever missed by his close friends and family Alley, Les, Pam, Julie, Wendy, Annette, Leigh, Laurie, Sharon, Ed, Bart, Sue, Joanne, Gary, Rob, Tracey and Cyril. Visitation for family and friends will be at Martino and Son Funeral Parlour at 1057 Brock Road, Pickering on Friday, March 30th, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. followed by a service celebrating Stew's life and honouring his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Stewart's memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation. His life was gentle, and the elements so mixed in him that Nature might stand and say to all the world.

Loved grandfather of 16 and great grandfather of 5. Survived by his sister Sophia Sidey of Whitby. Predeceased by sisters Clara and Eileen and brother Morris. Loving grandmother of Jason, Joshua, Ashley, Taylor, Lindsey, Lucas, Haley, Carley and Connor. Loving daughter of Dorothy Smith and the late Carman. Survived by her sister Judy Oxley. Also survived by one sister Lillian Turriff of Toronto and predeceased by Anne York, Florence LeMay, Edith Lane, and Albert Allard. Dear grandmother of Steven Dyck and his wife Lillian, Terrence Dyck, Sandra Bailey and her husband Darryl, Lori Dyck, Matthew Dyck, Noel Bellas, Jonathon Bellas, Michael Stephenson, Melissa Harvey, Angela Harvey, great grandmother of Zaccary Dyck, MacKenzie Bailey, Mitchell Bailey, Montanna Robinson. Mrs. Dyck will be resting at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby Tuesday 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Service in the Chapel Wednesday at 10am. Followed by burial Belleville Cemetery Wednesday afternoon.

SUTHERLAND, Patricia Gayle
passed away Sunday, March 25th, 2001. In celebration of a life well lived. Eight years and three major surgeries after a diagnosis of cancer, Gayle's eternal spirit left her mortal body. Gayle looked upon this as an early graduation from mortality to immortality, and though sad to leave behind family and friends, looked forward to being freed from sickness and the exciting new life she would begin in her Heavenly Father's Kingdom. Gayle wants family and friends to know she will always be near them in spirit. She leaves behind husband Rick; mother Rose Green (wife of W. I. Green who died in 1994), sister Heather Green, son Norman Brennan and wife Vicki, grandchildren Aaron and Christina, nieces Emma and Frances Green, nephew Paul Calheiros, sister Karen Calheiros and husband Max, brother Bill and wife Michelle. Gayle was a young 57 years old and had just celebrated her 22nd wedding anniversary December 2000. She felt that her family was her greatest treasure on this earth. A memorial service for her is to be held at the chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on the south west corner of Thornton Rd. N. and Rossland Rd. in Oshawa at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2001.

Peacefully, at the Lakeridge Health Centre, Port Perry on Sunday, March 25, 2001, in his 80th year. Norman, beloved husband of Betty (nee Thomas). Proud and loving father of Rev. John and his wife Adelaide of Mississauga, Ann and her husband Edward Watson of Uxbridge. Loving grandpa of Julie Tapscott and Joshua Watson.
