GUIMOND, (Rogers) JUDY (Elizabeth)
passed away April 12th after a brave battle with cancer. She will be missed by her husband Larry, and her children Jennifer and Ian Rogers. She is survived by both her parents and a large number of brothers and sisters. In accordance with her final wishes her ashes will be returned to her native Cape Breton. Rest well in heaven Lady in Red.

(Veteran of W.W.II, Proud Member of the 48th Highlander Regiment, Member of R.C.L. Branch 258, Highland Creek). Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Centenary Health Centre, in Toronto, on Thursday, April 12, 2001, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Betty. Loving father of June and her husband John Taylor, Linda and her husband Vincent Mullins, and Donna and her husband Robert Tonner. Much loved Poppy to 9 grandchildren. Dear brother of Edith and Fred Back. Many thanks to Dr. Berry, Dr. Swan, Mary Peluso and the I.C.U. nursing staff, angels all, at Centenary Health Centre. CROSSEN, Eleanor Selina (nee White)
Of Stouffville, in her 93rd year. Passed peacefully at Markham-Stouffville Hospital on April 11, 2001 following a brief illness. Special thanks to the staff at Buckingham Manor and 3E and 1E Markham-Stouffville Hospital for their quality care. Predeceased by her husband, the late Frederick (Fred) Crossen. Survived by her sister Annie (Mrs. Clarke Prentice). Predeceased by brothers and sisters: Georgina, Dennis, Dudley, John, Harry, Caroline and William. Lovingly known as ''Aunt Eleanor'' to numerous nephews, nieces, grand and great grand nephews and nieces. Recognized as Stouffville's Sports Personality of the Year, and booster to several amateur sports including Ladies/Boys hockey and softball, longtime member of Unionville Curling Club and Stouffville Lawn Bowling Club. 1975 Canadian Ladies Lawn Bowling Champion as well as numerous Ontario Ladies Lawn Bowling Champion Titles beginning with 1954 championship. Visitation will be held at: Christ Church Anglican, 254 Sunset Blvd., Stouffville on Monday, April 16th from 2-4 and again from 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral will be held from Christ Church Anglican on Tuesday, April 17 at 11 a.m. Interment following at Stouffville Cemetery. ARMITAGE, Rose Evelyn (nee Nyland)
passed away at Kitchener-Waterloo Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Monday, April 9, 2001, at the age of 94, formerly of Toronto.Loving wife of the late William Armitage (1983) and the late Russell Crandell (1963). Survived by her grandsons, Gary Crandell and Patrick Crandell and his wife, Joanna; daughter-in-law, Gertrude Crandell; and step-son, William Armitage Jr. and his wife, Doreen and their two daughters, Lauren and Lynn. Cherished great-grandmother of Caroline and Catherine Crandell. Dear sister of Lloyd Nyland and his wife, Frieda. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Ron and Susan Shane, Diane and Frank Proctor, Heather and Marty Sokoloskie and Ruth Gordon. Predeceased by her son, Durland ''Bud'' Crandell and by her sister, Grace Gordon. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Oshawa UNION Cemetery. BUJOLD, William Ervin (Ervie)
On April 8, 2001, Ervie, loving husband of Betty. Devoted father of Ken, Shelly and her husband Mark Daniel, Ron, and Randy and his wife Debbie. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan, Taylor, Jamen and Delaney. Brother of John, Fred, Lyda, Dorothy, Betty and the late Eddie, Jim, Mary and Eva. Ervie will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at the Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Ave., Ajax on Tuesday, April 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Bernadette's Church (21 Bayly St. East), Ajax. CHAPMAN, Berenice
At Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Sunday April 8, 2001. Berenice, (nee Donavan) in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late John Harold Chapman. Dear daughter of the late Mary and Andrew Donavan. Berenice will be sadly missed by Joanne Dionne, Phyllis Clarke, Marilyn Souter, their families and by her many other friends. Berenice was a longtime member of the CAW Family Auxiliary. At Berenice's request no Funeral Service will be held. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. At the request of the family, Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated and may be made through the Armstrong Funeral Home.

FAIRNEY, S.J. Brother W. Raymond
At Ajax Pickering Hospital, Pickering, Ontario, on Sunday, April 8, 2001, in his 70th year and in the 44th year of his religious life. Brother Ray was born in 1932 in Toronto, Ontario, and entered the Society in 1958. Ray was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Fairney. Upon completion of the Novitiate at Guelph he went on to serve his brother Jesuits and the people of God at Regis College in Toronto, Regiopolis College in Kingston Ontario, Loyola High School in Montreal, in Social Ministry in downtown Toronto, in the parish on the Wikwemikong mission and finally at the Jesuit Infirmary in Pickering Ontario. In the last few months of his active life Ray suffered from a profound lethergy a precursor to Leukemia. He passed away quietly to join his Lord and Master whom he had served faithfully all his life. Ray leaves to mourn his passing his Jesuit Brothers, his brother John Fairney of Thornhill ON., his sister Alice Fairney of Toronto ON, two nieces Michelle Lopez and Laura MacAloney both of Pickering ON, and his nephew Michael Fairney of Thornhill ON. Visitation, will be held at Rosar-Morrison, Toronto, on Tuesday, April 10, 2:00-4:00 p.m. and at the Manresa Chapel Pickering ON at 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Isaac Jogues Parish, 1148 Finch Ave. E., in Pickering, ON., at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2001. Burial at Jesuit Cemetery, Guelph, ON., on Saturday, May 12, at 11:30 a.m.

HASPER, Richard (Dick)
(Retiree of Co Steel Lasco, 30 years service and local musician) It is with great sadness our family announce the passing of this remarkable man, quietly Sunday morning, April 8, 2001 at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa, in his 68th year. Dick is survived by his beloved wife Gail (nee Kuehl/Hartwig), daughter Tracey-Lee, son Trevor, daughter-in-law Lynn and grandchildren Caitlyn and Zenon. He will be sadly missed by his sister Mrs. Margaret Blommaert (Saskatchewan), brothers Melvin, Kenneth and his wife Thelma (British Columbia), many sisters-in- law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. JUDD, Harvey Denholm
passed away in a peaceful sleep, surrounded by much appreciated staff (friends) at Extendicare Oshawa on Palm Sunday, April 8, 2001, in his 84th year, after a long struggle with lung disease. Harvey was a proud veteran of WW II, a music composer soloist, retired from Ford Motor Company (Windsor). Predeceased by dear wife Irene in 1997. Survived by son David (Hillary) of Calgary, daughter Marilyn (Paul) of Whitby and son Gordon (Priscilla) of British Columbia, also by beloved grandchildren Holly, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Gillian, Jessica and Cory, and great-grandchildren Chloe, Cody, Chase and Jayme May. Dear brother of Muriel Brown of Windsor and Alan Judd of Kelowna B.C. (formerly Sarnia). Son of the late Albert and Rachel Judd of Toronto. At Harvey's request a memorial service is to be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel. In memory of Harvey, the family requests that donations be made to the Lung Association or a kindness be shown to his fellow veterans of WW II.
