Beloved Grandfather of Jade, David, Mathew, and Brandon. Marcin will be sadly missed by his sisters Bronislawa, and Stanislawa in Poland. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church on Thursday May 31st at 11:00 a.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery Oshawa. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Corp. Veteran and member of the Whitby Legion, 29 years service with McNamara Marine in Whitby, past president of the Whitby Kiwanis Club. Ethel (nee Hamilton), beloved wife of Doug Mackie of Blackstock. Loving mother of Bobbie and her husband Terry Finley of Oakwood, Laurel and her husband Bill Ptolemy of Manilla, Dave Mackie of Blackstock, and Ginnie Mackie of Toronto. Loved grandmother of Wade, Ryan and his wife Laura, Lucas and great-grandmother of Cally. Passed away peacefully at Lake of Bays on Saturday, May 26, 2001 in her 88th year. Alice Hoig Morison (nee Lander) formerly of Whitby, beloved wife of the late Arthur Clayton ''Tunney'' Morison. Dear mother of Susan of Owen Sound, and Michael and his wife Judith of Huntsville. Dear grandmother of Sarah, Tom, and Alex Morison, and great-grandmother of Freeman Laboucan Morison. Survived by brother David and Beth Lander of Oshawa. Predeceased by sister Virginia Lindsey. Fondly remembered by niece Pat Butler and nephew Scott Lindsey. Alice was a longtime member of the Oshawa Golf Club, All Saints Anglican Church, the Whitby Curling Club, and the Station Gallery. The family will receive friends at the W.C. On. Saturday May 26, 2001 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Vimy was in her 83rd year, born on June 4, 1918. Vimy leaves to mourn her husband Frederick of 65 years, married on May 29th. Beloved mother of her only child, son Frederick James (Pau­line) of Carvel, Alberta. Loving grandmother of three grandchildren, Paul (Debbie), Beth (Henry) of Stony Plain Alberta, and David (Jennifer) of West Bank, BC, and seven great grandchildren Rebecca and Matthew Newman, Alexander, Nicholas and Jacob Hruschak, and Brianne and Ryan Newmap. Vimy is predeceased by her parents William and Annie Pearn, sisters Norma and Con­stance, brothers William, Reginald, Cecil and Norman.
