Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp - Oshawa, on Saturday, November 3rd, 2001. Piotr in his 86th year. Brother of Antoni in Poland. Predeceased by his brothers Leon and Franciszek. Remembered by nieces and nephews and many friends. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, with mass of Christian Burial in St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, November 5th, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. Interment MOUNT LAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS. Prayers in the Funeral Home Sunday at 7:00 P.M. Donations to St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church would be appreciated. Visitation 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.

SHEARER, Elsie Belle Gladys (nee Wallace)
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday November 3rd, 2001. Elsie Shearer, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late James Shearer. Dear daughter of the late Rev. Thomas and Annie Wallace. Loving sister of Ruby Beare of Port Perry, and Mable and her husband Al Rowland of Oshawa. Predeceased by sisters Hilda Alexander of Sutton, andGrace Couch of Newcastle, and brothers George Wallace of Belleville, Clayton Wallace, and Douglas Wallace of Port Perry. Elsie will be fondly remembered by her stepchildren, nieces and nephews and friends at Cedarcroft Place. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East Oshawa, on Saturday November 10th at 1:00 p.m. Remembrances to the C.N.I.B. Oshawa would be appreciated by the family. Visitation Saturday from noon until service time.

STINSON, Freda Doreen
After a courageous battle, entered into rest at the Lakeridge Health Corporation, Oshawa, on Saturday, November 3, 2001 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of the late Sam Copeland Stinson. A loving and devoted mom to her 13 children. Treasured grandmother to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be forever in our hearts and forever young. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at 1 pm. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

GELDART, Verna Edith
At the Northumberland Health Care Centre, Cobourg on Friday, November 2, 2001. Verna Edith Geldart (nee Hyslop) was the beloved wife of Evan Garnet Geldart. Dear mother of Wendy Tripp of Oshawa, Ian (Tamara) Geldart of Oshawa and Mark (Debbie) Geldart of Bowmanville. Grandmother of Darcey Lew, Chad Geldart, Kyle and Tyler Geldart. Sister of Alan Hyslop and his wife Fayeof Moncton, New Brunswick, Joan Young of New Brunswick, Phyllis Belfry and her husband Larry of Oshawa, Gerald Hyslop and his wife Mary of Bowmanville and Verla George and her husband Barry of New Brunswick. Daughter of Minnie and Vernon Hyslop of New Brunswick. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A private family service was held at the MACCOUBREY FUNERAL HOME, 30 King St. E., Cobourg. Interment MOUNT LAWN Cemetery, Oshawa, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations in memory of Verna to Lakeridge Hospital Cancer Centre, Oshawa would be appreciated.

HILL, Elizabeth
Peacefully at the Fairview Lodge, Whitby, on November 2, 2001 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Richard Harry Hill. Loving mother of Richard and the late Grace. Cherished grandmother of Carroll Caden, Rick and Gord Hill. Much adored great grandmother of Jason and Darcie Caden; Zachary Isles, Chloe, Rachel and Ryan Hill. Of 10 children, Elizabeth is survived by herbrother Alec Nicoll and sister Anne, of Scotland, and, brother Walter Nicoll, of Utah. Forever in the hearts of her family and friends. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 7-9 Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday. Peacefully passed away at home, with her family at her side, on Friday, November 2, 2001, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Lindsay. Loving mom of Gail and her son, the late Gary Datchier. Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren. Proud great-grandmother to many. Survived by brothers Hans-Werner and Dieter; sisters, Ingrid and Heike, all of Germany. It is with great sadness the Haddow Family announces the sudden passing our of beloved mother and wife Norma Haddow, at Scarborough General Hospital, on Thursday, November 1st, 2001 at 1 p.m. Loving wife to Billy of 44 years; mother to Janet, Monica and Susan and son-in-law Robert. Devoted grandmother to Mark, Brittany and Ryan. Over 30 years service, retired from General Motors. Suddenly at his home in Oshawa on Thursday November 1, 2001 in his 67th year. Bertram, beloved husband of Marion Rideout, loved stepfather of Eileen Rowe. Loved by Amanda and Dillen Brouillette. Bertram will be sadly missed by his loving dogs Monica and Gidget, and will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. Cherished aunt to Bryan Scholes, John Campkin (Margret), Lynda Breaky (Bill); predeceased by Susan Scholes, Raymond Campkin; Dianne Paige, and survived by Bob Paige. Fondly remembered by her great nieces and nephews, Tim Paige; Zeke and Seth Scholes; Oliver, Wyoming, Ginger and Denim Webster-Scholes; Bridget and Andrew Campkin; Jennifer and Tammy Daigle, and Melanie Johnson. She will be sadly missed by her many dear friends here and in England. LEMON, Jean Doris
Aged 70 years. At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Thursday November 1st, 2001. She will be sadly missed by the congregation of the Jehovah Witness Hall of Bowmanville. At Jean's request there will be no period of visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at The Kindom Hall. SUTTON, Dorothy (nee Fraser)
After a lengthy illness on Thursday November 1, 2001, at Toronto East General Hospital. Beloved wife of Jack, dear mother of Linda, Jim (Barbara), David (Isabel), Stewart (Marilyn), Charlotte Ruckstuhl (Roy), Bob, and Leonard (Donna). Sister of Irene Carmanico (deceased), Ralph Fraser, Maxine Dubois, Evelyn Levac and Joan Putsey. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Armstrong Funeral Chapel, 124 King Street East Oshawa on Sunday November 4th at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
