Suddenly at the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre, on February 6, 2002 at the age of 52. Devoted father of Darin and David. Husband of Dorothy. Brother of Garvin and Kevin. Resting the at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 7 to 9 pm Saturday and 2 to 4 pm Sunday. Funeral service in the chapel on Sunday February 10, 2002 at 4 pm. Cremation. Donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, in lieu of flowers.

Dear brother-in-law of Marg, Myrtle, Don, and their families. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Tuesday, February 12 at 11 a.m. with cremation to follow. Loving mother of Margherita and her husband Donato Mastroianni, Mary and her husband Michael Belmonte, and Antonietta (Nina) and her husband Bert Weigel. Beloved grandmother of Luigi (Lou) and his wife Kim, Lucy and her husband Gord, Narcisio and his wife Janis, Robert and his wife Karen, Michael Ryan, Marc, and David. Beloved great grandmother of Sarah and Michael, Danielle and Deanna, Elisa, Lauren and Samantha, and Ariel, Aris, and Julian. Dear sister of Antonio Iannarilli and his wife Anna of Courtice, and Ennio Iannarilli and his wife Anna, Vittorio Iannarilli and his wife Teresa, and Pietro Iannarilli and his wife Italia, all of Italy. Dear sister in law of Pasquale Mattacchione and his wife Ascenza, Ernesto Mattacchione and his wife Vincenza, and Maria La Posta and all their families. Laura will be sorely missed by Paula and Josephine and nephews and nieces both here and in Italy. Veteran of WWII and Member of Canadian Legion Branch #43. passed away peacefully with his dear daughter Joan Frances Whitney and granddaughter Jaime Frances Wiley by his side on Wednesday, February 6th, 2002 at Lakeridge Health-Bowmanville, in his 78th year. Dear husband to Josephine Ella McCarthy (Miller) in their 52nd year of marriage. Dearest father to Joan Whitney and her husband Steve. Special grandfather to Jaime and Jeff Wiley and Ryan Whitney and his girl friend Regina Iantomasi. Great grandfather to Kienan and Kiera Wiley. Brother of James McCarthy (Grace- predeceased) of Ottawa, Mildred and Philip deCarteret of Ottawa Ray and Denise McCarthy of Montreal, Madeline McCarthy of Ottawa and Edwin McCarthy and his special friend Shiela Marsh of Kingston.
