Dear brother of Sharon Mcintyre and her husband Bill and Ronald Barriage and his wife Julie. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. June 5, 1931 - April 22, 2002. It is with sad regret we announce the passing of Doreen. She leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, Raymond Blanchard, children Wayne (Sheila), Mark, Dianna (Dirk), 5 grandchildren, 1 brother George (Jane), lifetime friend Lila Prokop, and beloved Max. She is predeceased by 2 brothers and I sister, mother and father. We wish to give a special thanks to her niece Gail Marian and the Andrews family. There will be a private celebration of Doreen's life at a later date. Brother of Raymond Hickey, Pat Hickey, Tom Hickey, Maurice Hickey (deceased), Marie Maskie, Bonnie Caldwell, Joan Henderson, Colleen White, Kathleen Morrison and Marjorie Gallagher. Beloved husband of the late Kaye Power. Loving father of Paul Power and his wife Sheila of Oshawa and Mary Jane Power of California. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Jules, Shea and Desi. Predeceased by his parents Cyril and Mary Power. Dear brother of C. James Power, Marion Lamb and the late Anna Power and Edward Power. Harold will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Loretta Vincent, Mary Cote, and Dorothy Cuddahee and his brothers-in-law Joseph Cuddahee, Fergus Cuddahee and Maurice Cuddahee and his many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the People Parish on Friday April 26, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Will be sadly missed by special friends Fran and Bertha. Past president of the Oshawa Camera Club, John was an avid outdoorsman and tennis player. Special thanks to everyone at Durham Access to Care, Lakeridge Health Oshawa, especially Palliative Care and the nurses on the eighth floor and White Cliffe Terrace for their caring and support.
