At Milton Hospital on Tuesday July 2, 2002. Harvey Davis in his 60th year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Davis. Loving father of Kathleen Roffey and her husband Steven. Sadly missed by his granddaughter Melissa. Dear brother of Bev McLaughlin and her husband Ralph and Edward Davis. Lovingly remembered by his nephew Kevin Bell. Resting at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Funeral Services in the Chapel on Friday July 5th at 1pm. Interment to follow at GROVESIDE Cemetery. Memorial Donations to the Charles H. Best Diabetes Centre would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.

On Tuesday July 2nd, 2002 peacefully in her 81st year, following a courageous and valiant struggle with Parkinson's Disease. Dearly beloved wife of Meirion. Cherished grandmother of Sian, Julie & Anthony Fletcher, Mark & Kathryn Fairfield, Michael & Karen. Beloved sister of Barbara Williams & Family, U.K. Past Matron of the Eastern Star. Visitation at The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville 7-9 p.m. Thurs & 2-4 &7-9 p.m. Fri. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Anglican Church, Bowmanville. At Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Tuesday July 2, 2002. Morton Lomax of Kirkfield was the beloved husband of Reta (Yarnold) Lomax. Dearfather and father-in-law of Sherry (Fortunato) Amendola of Scarborough, Debbie (Glenn) Jeffrey of Whitby and Ken Lomax of Whitby. Grandfather of Leslie, Laura, Sarah, Michael, Kevin and Cameron. A family service was held at the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton (705-426 5777) on Friday. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Kirkfield. The family would appreciate memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association.

Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Christian, Adam and Sarah Lamarre, Jay, Cahli and Tegan Bodnar. Sister of Isabel Hem, Margaret Laurie and the late Robert Pierson and Grace Reeson. (WW II Veteran Airforce Corporal). Peacefully at his daughters home in Orono with his family by his side on Tuesday July 2, 2002 in his 91st year. Alf, beloved husband of Hazel (Burley) of Orono and the late Fosetta (Carleton). Loving father of Glory Adams and her husband Fay of Orono. Dear grandfather of Don Adams and his wife Ann of Port Perry. Lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren Andrew and Katie. Sadly missed by his stepchildren John Robinson of Oshawa, Howard Stapleton and his wife Marion of Oshawa and step grandchildren Lee Stapleton of Toronto and Laura Stapleton of Oshawa. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers Martha, Fred, Dolly, Glory, Nelson and Edie. Friends were able to call at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 4 Division Street Bowmanville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held in our Chapel on Friday at 1p.m. Interment Orono Cemetery. COLLINS, Jim -

After a long happy life on July 1, 2002 in his 82nd year. Dearly loved husband of Sarah. Father of Rosie and partner Glynn, Richy and wife Channy, Mike and wife Genevieve, and Steve. Proud grand dad of Aurelia, Celandine (Tanya), Nicola, Boudica, William, Eugenie and Emilie-Anne. He will be sadly missed and remembered by all family members and many friends. Thanks to all the staff at Scarborough and Ajax Hospital. Mr. Collins will be resting at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby on Friday, July 5th from 6 to 9 p.m. A service at St. John's Port Whitby Church will be held on Saturday, July 6th, at 7:30 pm. Cremation. As the result of an accident on Monday, July 1st, 2002 in his 25th year. Beloved soul mate of WendyAirdrie. Loving son of John and Faye Connolly of Oshawa. Devoted stepfather to Franklin Mercer. Beloved brother and best friend of Tanya Connolly (Ron Airdrie). Dear grandson of Jean Ellsworth and the late Gussie, and Elsie Connolly and the late Charlie. Sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Chad was involved with Oshawa baseball and hockey associations. LONGEWAY, William (Bill) Joseph –

June 28, 1932 – July 1, 2002. With great peace and dignity, while holding his sister Yvonne’s hand and with his brother-in-law Lyle at his side, Bill Longeway left his earthly home at Strathaven Life Care Centre, Bowmanville, Ontario, in his 71st year to join his Saviour and his mother and father in Glory. Bill was born in Stratford, Ontario; the loving and much-loved son of the late William Longeway and his wife Stella McIlhargey, formerly of 328 Brunswick Street. During his youth, Bill was employed at Prestonia and the Department of Highways in Stratford. In 1964 Bill moved to Owen Sound where he was employed by RCA and later A-1 Cleaning. In 1994, due to declining health, Bill moved to Newcastle, Ontario, to be near his sister and her family. He was an adherent of Newcastle Fellowship Baptist Church. Bill is loved, remembered and survived by his only sibling, his adoring and devoted younger sister, Yvonne and husband Lyle Bender of Newcastle, Ontario; nieces Darolyn and husband Philip Jones of Janetville, Ontario, Delores Bender-Hone and fiancé David Summers of Lakeside, Ontario, nephew Tony Bender and fiancée Cindy Shaw-Thomkins of Kendal, Ontario; grand-nieces Melody, Crystal, Brittany, Christina, and Brittaney, grand-nephews Jeremy, Joshua, Matthew, Christopher, and Jacob. Remembered by special cousins Agnes and Preston Howard, Carol Doerr, Jim Howard, Donna Crowley, Joy Johnson (Roger), Suzanne Brownell (Bob), and Genieva Longeway, Sr. Lucille Godfrey, Bill and Rhena Godfrey, and Theresa Godfrey. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S.
