At Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday August 18, 2002. Newborn daughter of Tracy and Brian Catherwood. Little sister to Lindsey. Granddaughter of Carole Perryman and Ken and Beth Catherwood. Great granddaughter of Della Rehel, Del and Dorothy Catherwood and Ruth Ashton. Sadly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special thanks to on call staff at Maternity Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Funeral Service in the Chapel Thursday August 22nd at 2:30 P.M. Memorial Donations to the Pediatrics at Lakeridge Health Oshawa would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday at 12:30 P.M.

JACKSON, Barbara Anne Haslam -

Suddenly passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2002. Loved by many, she is survived by her two sons, Russell and Randy Jackson and their respective families. Loving Nanny of Riley, Virginia and Kayla, Sister of William, Robert, David, Donald, Stephen and Ted Haslam. Barbara Jackson was active in the community and had a long struggle with kidney disease. Her love and attention was felt by many and her energy will be missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday, August 22, 2002 at 11:00 am. with visiting one hour before the service. Donations made in memory of Barbara to the Canadian Kidney Foundation, to benefit those still suffering, would be appreciated.

LOWRY, Donelda Louise -

36 entered into rest at St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto on Sunday morning, August 18, 2002. Donelda lived in Bobcaygeon for the past 12 years. She was born in Oshawa where she graduated from Central Collegiate High School. She graduated from Durham College in Business Accounting. She was a dedicated mother and she loved music, gardening and life to the fullest. She is loved and greatly missed by her mother, Rozanne Tully; her father, Lou Tully; one son Preston; and two daughters, Emily and Alyssa; her sister Debbie; her brothers, Darrell and Dennis; her fianc , Richard Peebles; and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and many, many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Monk Family Funeral Home, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon, on Friday, August 23, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Monk Family Funeral Home for The Children's Trust Fund established for her children's future.

Entered into rest at Extendicare Nursing Home, Oshawa on Saturday August 17, 2002 in her 100th year. Myrtle, beloved wife of the late W. Morley Emory. Loving mother of Alma, and Ivy, and predeceased by her daughters Betty and Florence. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her family and friends. The family will receive friends at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby from 12 to 1pm Thursday. Service in the Chapel on Thursday August 22, 2002 at 1pm. HERRON, Gladys Mary (nee Seeley) -

With grace and dignity in the embrace of her family, Gladys passed away at Lakeridge Health Whitby on Saturday, August 17, 2002. Predeceased by her husband William Alvin. She will be deeply missed by daughters Pat Herron (partner Bill Johnson), Helen McGregor (Jim), grandchildren Chris Toperczer, Kevin Toperczer (Cathy), Hannah Garbutt (Dan), Allan, Kathleen and Cameron McGregor; great grandson Aidan Garbutt, and by her sister Carmel O Malley (Lloyd), and by her brother Bernard Seeley (Myra). Special thanks to the caregivers at Lakeridge Health Whitby, and especially to the Reverend Carl Young. The family will receive friends at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110, Dundas Street East, Whitby from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish (91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby) on Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill.

passed away on Saturday August 17, 2002 at the age of 76. Dear wife of the late Jack. Loving mother of Kathleen and Garrie Wright, Diane and Glenn Polley. Cherished grandmother of Bryan, Erin, Scott and Andrew. Beloved sister of Joyce Webster, Joe and Margaret Webster, Roy Webster and sister in law of Margaret and Hugh Keenan, and Harry Keenan. Irene will be lovingly remembered by many dear family and friends. RILEY, Dorothy Helen (Hogan) -

Peacefully completed this life s journey, at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Saturday, August 17, 2002, in her 88th year. She was surrounded by the love of her family. Dearly loved mother of Heather (nee Hagan) and son-in-law Michael. Cherished Grandma to Cheryl and husband Tim, Scott and wife Soo Yeon, and Graham. Sadly missed by lifetime friend Laura Gardiner. She will reunite with her loving husband James B, Hagan. Predeceased by her second husband John Riley. ROUSSEAU, Margaret Edna (nee Johnston) -

Margaret passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2002 at Extendicare Nursing Home in Oshawa. Born in Cobalt, Ontario on September 29, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Mary and John Johnston. She had lived in Timmins, Ontario and came to Oshawa in 1941. A former employee of Bell Canada and General Motors, she retired from the G.M. Parts Locations in 1985. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Louis in 2000. She is survived by one brother, Robert Johnston (Ruth) of Oshawa. She was predeceased by six sisters, Della Tinney, Gertrude Blackthorn (Jim), Ruth Perry (Charlie), Mary Voyska (Frank), Pat Anderson (Bill), Muriel Carter (Doug) and brothers Erwin (Lena), Charlie (Ruth), James (Nellie), Dave (Nora), hnd Elwood (Ruby). Margaret was loved and wll be missed by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends were received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in our chapel on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Raymond Hartman of the Whitby Free Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. BROWN, Ronald Murray -

Suddenly in Oshawa on Thursday August 15, 2002 in his 7Oth year. Predeceased by his wife the late Patricia Mary. Loving father of Susan, Michael and Christine. Brother to Gordon Brown of New Glasgow. Loving grandpa to his grandcats, granddog and grandbird. Ron was a CGA and spent much of his career in the service of the Ontario Ministry of Finance. In his later years, he very much enjoyed his thriving used book business and was an active member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Oshawa. A lifelong athlete, running marathons in his early years, he later continued to participate in Golf, Curling, Hockey and Baseball. His last moments were spent happily on the diamond, as a valued player with the Oshawa Seniors Baseball Team. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, with whom he found much happiness. Special thanks to Dan Adams and team members for their CPR efforts and to Lorraine Hammett of Oshawa for being there and bringing such joy into his life during the last 6 months. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Mass of Christian Burial from St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church on Wednesday August 21st, 2002 (time to be announced) . Born December 20, 1932, passed away to her well-earned Heavenly reward on Thursday, August 15, 2002. Loving wife of husband Ash for 48 years, very proud ond loving mother of Ashley Jr., Cheryl (Brian), Sandra (George), Andrew (Kim), Christopher (Nancy) and David. Also very proud of her 8 grandchildren Dan (CaroIyn, Matthew), Nancy, Charlene, Brian Jr., Erin, Chelsea, Brandon and Evan. So many happy memories of birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, academic and athletic achievements. Nancy glowed with pride for each one of them, her family meant everything to her and they all loved her so dearly. She impressed everyone she met with her extraordinary grace and dignity. She never complained about the unbelievable pains of the Past few months and always answered questions about her health with I m doing fine, don t worry about me . She is now with the Angels in Heaven because she is one of them now, right Charlene!! We can iust see her looking down on us with that very special smile. Goodbye my love until we meet again.
