Born in London, Ontario on March 8th, 1924, son of the late James and Margaret Pierson, beloved husband of Lucille (nee Wade) for 48 years. Brother of Joan Marks (Don). Loving father of Gaye and her husband Greg Thrasher and Ken and his wife Margaret Pierson. Proud Papa of Lauren and Sarah Jane Thrasher, Brittney and Brooke Pierson. Will be sadly missed by many relatives, friends and comrades. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE Thornton Chapel 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Sunday, September 8th from 24 & 7-9 P.M. In her 81st year. After a lengthy illness at Lakeridge Health Whitby on Tuesday September 3rd, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Harold Curwain of Belleville. She was deeply loved by son Harold & his wife Paula of Bowmanville, son John & his wife Cathy of Winnipeg and 5 grandchildren, Megan, Corey, Cheryl, Andrew & Sean. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church, 39 Everett St., Belleville at 10:30 am Monday, September 9th followed by a light luncheon. Arrangements were entrusted to The Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville, where donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society in Helen's name.

DELANEY, Grace Irene (nee Latcham) -

(Retired Elementary Teacher, Durham District School Board, Member of the Order of Women Free Masons). Suddenly on Tuesday September 3, 2002 at her cottage in Carnavon. Grace, beloved wife of the late Hartley Francis Delaney. Loving mother of Kerry Delaney, James and his wife Sheila Delaney, and Dianne and her husband David Fennell. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Elisabeth, Brigette, Seana, and Frances. Grace touched may lives and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. The family will receive friends at the W.C Town Funeral Chapel, Whitby from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm on Friday. Service at Westminster United Church (1825 Manning Road, Whitby) on Saturday September 7, 2002 at 11 am. Interment, Mount Lawn Cemetery, Whitby. passed away at Fairview Lodge, Whitby on Tuesday September 3rd. 2002 in her 96th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Charles Ellmes. Predeceased by her daughters Jean and Gwen. Entered into rest on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at Lakeridge Manor Nursing Home, Beaverton. In her 84th year. Ella, beloved wife of the late Victor. Dear mother of Kenny, Bonnie and Peter. Fondly remembered by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Beloved husband of Carol Behnke and dear father of Rebecca and her husband James Alessio of Bowmanville, Jeremia Johnson of Cobourg, and Christina Behnke of Lindsay. Loving "Poppa" to 3 grandchildren. Dear brother of Mark and Sandee Johnson of Port Perry, Myles and Andrea Johnson of Toronto and Paul and Robin Johnson of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Lovingly remembered by her two boys Dan (Angela), Jim (Carla) and was a special Nan to Sarah Anne Marie, all of British Columbia, and her brother Tex (Kate), sister Noreen and her brother Dan (Vicki) all of Oshawa. Donna is fondly remembered by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna will be remembered for her courage and great sense of humour as she battled her cancer, and was loved by many from Bancroft to B.C. A Private Family Service will be held. Bernice Mary Burke (nee Arsenault), loving wife of the late Frank Burke, predeceased by her son Foster ; mother of Mary Jean and husband Jack Doiron, Kenneth, Lorna and her husband Blair Kelly, and Rosemarie and her husband Michael McClellan. Dear grandmother of Christine, Frances, Teresa and Michael; Kevin, Cheryl, Karen and Donna; Mary, Mark, James and Jeffrey; Marie, Matthew and Joel; and great-grandmother to 19 children. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 5th, 2002 at Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass Friday, September 6th, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Uxbridge. Gordon is a retiree of Fidelity (Seaboard) Insurance Co. of Vancouver. Beloved husband of Jean Morris Werry and the late Katherine (Kitty) Perry. Dear father of Gordonna and her husband David Bush of Whitby, Robyn and her husband Dick Loucks of Port Hope, Ruth Ellyn and her husband Eric of Cuba, New York and the late Sandra Kimball of Virginia. Brother of "Al" Osborne of Irvine California, Mildred Hall and her husband Lewis of St. Thomas and the late Thelma. Lovingly remembered by several grandchildren and great-grand-children. Dear stepfather of Carolyn and her husband Mac Sinclair of Sudbury, Dr. Donald Werry and his wife Dr. Barbara of Vancouver and James Werry and his wife Jennifer of Toronto. Since retirement Gordon will be remembered by Durham residents for his long walks throughout the area and his untiring interest in Bible study.
