Passed peacefully at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, April 21st, 2003. Jim in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Lorraine. Loving father of Kathy Jewell and her husband Josh, Theresa Hawkins and her partner Terry and loving stepfather to Kim Cple and her husband Rob, Teresa Robins and her husband Jeff, and Kelly Bothwell. Dear Grampa Jim of Dalton and Melissa and Poppa Jim to Scott, Emily, Jennifer, Melissa, Amanda, Tristen, Daven, Amanda and Tiffany. Son of Olive and the late Kenneth Hull. Brother of Sharon Knapp and her partner Dan. Brother-in-law of Robert Holt and his wife Eva, Barbara Auger and her husband Guy, Pat Cote and her husband Denis, Bev Plourde and her husband Micky and Sharon Edwards and her husband Mark. Dear uncle of Amy and Angie Knapp, and Wendy, Tina, Charity, Christopher, Michael, Derek, Sheldon, Trevor (T.J.), Cory and Dennis. Jim will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. MAHON, Albert Denis -

WWII Veteran R.C.A.F. Pilot Officer. Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday April 21, 2003 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 81st year. Albert, beloved father of Mary Mahon-Jones (Vancouver), Rick Mahon and Janet (Brantford), Sandi Mahon and Wayne (Oshawa), Susie Bridge and Doug (Simcoe), and the late Denis Mahon. Loved Grandpa of Melanie, Katy, Abbey and Danielle, Allison and Davern, Christopher and Sarah, Elizabeth, Amy and Jonathan. Dear brother of Jeny and Harold and loved uncle of many nieces and nephews especially Joanne de Boehlmer. A complete funeral mass will be held on Friday April 25th at 10a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish (Mary and Beatrice). Cremation. Memorial donations made to St. Joseph the Worker Parish would be appreciated by the family.

Survived by his niece Betty Richard and family. Brother of Tom Carriere. Suddenly at Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville on Sunday, April 20, 2003, in his 78th year. Loving and devoted father of Liz Littlefield and husband Paul of Mississauga, Eva McKeen of Bowmanville, and Theresa Festo of Oshawa. Dear grandpa to Braydon and Kaley and Papa Festo to Brittney, all of whom he cherished. Son of the late Joseph and the late Theresa Festo. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, April 25, 2003 from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the complete service at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME Ltd., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433 5558) with cremation to follow. HUSAR, Bogdan (Bob) -

Retired from Metro Parks. passed away peacefully from heart failure at the age of 79 at the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre, on April 20, 2003, after beating many doctor's predictions by 27 years. Born in Stratyn, Ukraine. Survived by his beloved and devoted wife Clara of 52 1/2 years. Father of Anne, John, William (Bill), and Steve, and their spouses. Grandfather to Elena, Alex, Krysta, Erica, Karen, Lori, David, Nathaniel and Matthew. Great-grandfather to Nikolaos. Survived by his brother Roman in Sacramento, California, and his family. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Panachyda 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass to be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1490 Markham Road, Scarborough on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at 10 a.m. He will be greatly missed by all those who were privileged enough to have known him.

JARVIS Kathleen May -

(1913-2003) Entered into rest at her home, on Sunday, April 20, 2003, surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen, in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Herbert W. Jarvis and daughter Marjorie Grant. She leaves behind two daughters, Dorothy and her husband Rob Pierson of Peterborough and Doris Willits of Oshawa; three sons, Bill and his wife Bernice Jarvis, Joe and his wife Val Jarvis, and Ralph and his wife Doris Jarvis, all of Hampton and also Roland Grant and Shirley Jarvis. Dearly remembered by 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Frank Edwards and his wife Joyce, Bud Edwards and his wife Frances, Winnie Winacott, Wilf Edwards and his wife Annie and the late Art, Dick, Sam, Charlie, Bert, Dorothy, Ethel, Lillian and Alice. Relatives and friends may call at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME Ltd., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433 5558) on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in our chapel on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at 11:00a.m. Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery. LISCOMBE, Allan John -

Died peacefully at home on Sunday Sunday April 20, 2003, in his 59th year. He will be sadly missed by his wife Doris, daughters Jennifer and Kristine, son in laws Roger and Bryan, granddaughter Kaitlyn, his sister Marilee and her family and his many friends. At Allan's request cremation has been held. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

MCMULLEN, Frank Amos -

Peacefully on Sunday April 20th, 2003. Frank was born in Orono, Ontario in 1914. As a teenager, he delivered bread to the farming community by horse and buggy. After graduating from Toronto Normal School he taught in several one room schools in Durham County before becoming principal of Newcastle Public School. He is the founder of the Newcastle Men's Hockey League and was a Mason, active with the Newcastle chapter. In 1954, Frank ended his teaching career and moved his family to Scarborough and started Summerhill Market in Rosedale where he worked until retiring in 2002. Predeceased by his wife June (Hanna) and son Barry and survived by sons Wayne (Sandy), Bob, Don and daughter Glenda. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Jenny, Karen, Greg, Brad, Christie, Cam and Corry. Also survived by his sister Dorothy Bellof Garden Hill and her sons. As an expression of sympathy and in memory of Frank McMullen, say thank you to a "Caregiver". Personal caregivers spend wonderful time and energy helping our senior citizens. With thanks from the McMullen Family. A private family funeral has been arranged.

McPHERSON, (nee Barker) Hilda -

Hilda was born in Upper Kent, New Brunswick on December 13, 1907 and passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2003 at Resthaven, Aurora,Ontario. Predeceased by her husband John, in 1981 and by her daughter, Louise Johnson, in 1990. She is survived by Louise's husband, Earl (Betty) Vancouver Island, Thomas (Pamela) Aurora, Edwin (Dorothy) Whitby, Mary Ann (Walter Ridley) Toronto and Rafe of Toronto. She will be sadly missed by her ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Nelly Kerr of Victoria and numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews and many close friends in Scarborough, Meaford and Whitby. She was an integral part of the parishes of Washington United in Scarborough, Meaford United and latterly St. Mark's in Whitby, Ontario. A service and celebration of her remarkable life will be held at St. Mark's United Church, 201 Centre Street South, Whitby, Ontario on Saturday May 17th. Visitation 1:00 p.m. Service 2:00 p.m. Refreshments afterward. Hilda was a cancer survivor for over 30 years and worked as a volunteer. A donation to any of the above churches or The Cancer Society would have pleased her.

SINCLAIR, Michael Richard John -

(1981-2003). It is with great sadness that Angus and Maryellen Sinclair announce the sudden loss of Michael, our first born son. Intelligent and sensitive with a wry sense of humour, Michael was happiest riding his bike through the streets of downtown Toronto as a courier and competing as a track cyclist. An avid jazz fan, Michael was also a musician in his own right. Loving and supportive "Big Brother" to Gregory and Robert, Michael enjoyed summer camping, visiting Nono and Nona (Richard and Eleanore Ricciotti) in Windsor and exploring Grandma and Grandpa's (Mary and Ewart Sinclair) farm in Owen Sound. Michael will be fondly remembered by 16 Aunts and Uncles, 20 Cousins and many friends in Toronto and Pickering. Friends may call at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre Wednesday, April 23 from 5-9pm. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 10 am at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church (1148 Finch Ave., Pickering). Cremation to follow.

SORRI, Eric -

It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Sorri announce his passing on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2003. Beloved husband and best friend of Harriet (Eileen Penman) for 52 years. Loving father of Mark Sorri, and Sandra Vidug and her husband Richard. Precious grandfather to Allison, Kristina, and Julianne. Born in Oshawa on October 23, 1927. Son of the late Mikko and Esther Sorri. Employed in Oshawa by Grey Coach and then by General Motors. Eric retired from General Motors in 1985 with 34 years service. He enjoyed a full and healthy life with serious illness setting in during his last month. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2003, at 12:00 p.m. at St. George's Anglican Church, 51 Centre Street South, Oshawa. Interment to follow at Mount Lawn Cemetery. The family would appreciate a donation to your favourite Charity in lieu of flowers.

TAYLOR, Wilbert George ''Curly'' -

Peacefully, at his residence in Whitby, with his family by his side, on Sunday, April 20th, 2003, at the age of 76. Predeceased by his beloved wife Lillian. Loving father of George and his wife Judy of Whitby. Dear grandfather of Ashley and Kyle. Caring brother of Myrtle, Robert, Jeannine and Douglas. Curly will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Great Nanny to Amanda, Nadine, Shannon, Christopher, Christine, James, Claudia, Caroline, Emma, Adam and Rachel Lily. Loving sister of Alfred Gilbert and his late wife Connie. Loving mother of Danny McAndrews and his wife Doris, and the late Ted McAndrews and his wife Mary, all of London. Fondly remembered by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Mae Nicholls and her husband Howard of Cornwall, Lorraine Burch and her husband Bill of Oshawa, and the late Patrick O'Neil, Bob McDonald and Donald McKenzie.
