Peacefully on Thursday April 17, 2003 with his family at his side. Norman, beloved husband to Joan. Loving father of Marion, Corey, Jody (Aline), Terry (Teresa), Russell (Lynn), Eldon, Brenda (John), Lynn (Sheldon) and daughter in law Sue. Dear brother of Dorothy (Lewis), Avard (Laura), Marg, Marion and Raymond (Marilyn). Beloved grandfather to 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Friends may call at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. A Funeral Service to celebrate Norm's life will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation. A reception will be held in the family centre following the service. n lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

SIMPSON, Margaret (Peggy) -

At her home in Ajax, surrounded by her family, on Thursday April 17, 2003, after a battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by husband Robert, sons Michael, Steven (Dawn) and Jeffrey, grandson Nathan, other members of her family and dear friends. As per Peg's wishes a private celebration of her life will be held. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.

STEELE, Owen Matthew -

Of Oshawa on April 17th, 2003 peacefully in his 78th year after a short illness. Proud WWII Veteran (Ontario Regiment) and member of the Royal Canadian Legion. A founder and past president of the Scarborough Rod and Gun Club (later Uxbridge Shooting Sports). Mr Steele was an accomplished artist. He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Sharon Williams, Carol Steele, Leslie Templeton; his grandchildren Trisha, Amanda, Jennifer, Jami, Ryan and Erica as well as his numerous friends in both Oshawa and Toronto. Many thanks to the nurses and Staff of Mt. Sinai ICU for their dedicated compassionate care during Mr. Steele's illness. The family respectfully requests donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada in memory of Mr. Steel.

Dear grandfather of Steven and Cherylin Skene, Kari and Robyn McMullen, Lorne and Rorey McMullen and great-grandfather of Corey and Stephanie Skene and Nicholas and Kayla Hellam. Cremation. HOBSON, Joan Elizabeth -

passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 15, 2003 in Bowmanville ON. A wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Joan was cherished by her husband of 58 years John Hobson. Her daughters Susan Mary (Bugeja) Toronto ON, Helen Eleanor (Sholdice) Dublin Ireland, son John Charles, Colborne ON, grandchildren Erin Elizabeth (Mantis) Chicago, Garrett Hobson (Sholdice) Dublin Ireland and daughter-in-law Jeanette (Vroom) and sons-in-law Rennie (Bugeja) and Neil (Sholdice). She is survived by her sister Phyllis (Hosford) Cork Ireland. Her family and friendswill mourn her passing with deep sorrow. She was born in Cork Ireland on November 15th 1918. Moved to Canada in July of 1953. Joan worked tirelessly for her family and friends. The family invited friends to a special celebration of her life at Kingsway Lambton United Church 85 The Kingsway, Toronto, ON 416-234-8224 on Monday April 21 at 2p.m. In Joan's memory, donations may be made to the C.N.I.B.
