Vera, beloved wife of the late Charlie Read, and the late Chris Kaan. Vera loved her musicand was very involved in choirs and at the Oshawa Senior Citizens Centre playing the piano, and spent many hours with her charity work. Leon, with his family, moved from Cobourg in1958 to become manager of Auto Workers Credit Union until his retirement in 1987. Throughout his career, Leon also served on the executive of many Boards of Directors. Being an avid golfer, he particularly enjoyed serving on the Board of Directors of the Oshawa Golf Course from 1974-1983. During their life together, Leon & Dorothy enjoyed extensive travel & spending countless hours on the golf course. Lovingly remembered by her granddaughters Melissa and Sarah. Lillian was a special aunt of Judy Douglas and will be sadly missed by her great nieces Jane and Susan.
