Dear father of Hugh and his wife Carole and Todd and his wife Brenda. Loving grandfather of Tyler, Laura and Graham, Hilary and Jocelyn. Hugh was a retiree of Duplate - Canada (P.P.G.) with 44 years service. A Private Family Service was held on Saturday, January 3rd, with Interment at Mount Lawn Cemetery. At Ballycliffe Nursing Home on Wednesday December 31, 2003 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Mudrey (1987). Father of Robert Prentice and Barbara Ploeger. Grandfather of Ruth and Anne-Marie Prentice, and Jan Ploeger. Great-grandfather to Robert David Prentice. Loving uncle of Jean Morrow of Fanny Bay, B.C. Devoted family friend to Judy Machibroda, her daughters Natasha and Alisha, and granddaughter Kassidee of Oshawa. Dear brother -in- law to Anne Prentice of Stouffville, Ontario. Uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. Predeceased by sisters Marjorie, Irene, Allie, and Dora, and brothers Rev. Emmanuel, Ken and Clarke. Funeral Service was held at St. John's Anglican Port Whitby Church on Thursday January 8, 2004 with Rev. Elizabeth Hopkins officiating. (Public School Teacher for over 35 years including Dryden Public School and E.A. Lovell Public School, Oshawa) passed away peacefully at The Wynfield, Oshawa, on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 in her 98th year. Loved daughter of the late Alvin and Lillian (Forbes) Robinson. Survived by her sister Jean Robinson. Predeceased by her brother Murray Robinson and sister-in-law Lucille and sister Grace Forbes Robinson. Lovingly remembered by her niece Mary Lou and her husband Gordon Kumagai of Toronto, and her nephew John Robinson and his wife Judy of Whitby. Great-aunt of Geoffrey, Hazel, Jesse, Judy and Dana. Great-great-aunt of Violet. Friends will be received at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN LTD., 79 Baldwin Street, Brooklin Village from 2-4 p.m. Friday. Funeral Service to follow at St. Thomas Anglican Church (Winchester Rd., Brooklin) Saturday, January 3rd, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at GROVESIDE Cemetery. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Shawn, Lee, Brandon and Christopher. Predeceased by Mary (Mrs. Bill Wellheiser) of Windsor, Madeline (Mrs. Bill Schneider) of Windsor, Clifford, James, Edward and Justin. Mrs. Baskerville will be resting at the W.C. Resident of Toronto and Ajax, passed away December 30, 2003 while on vacation in Mexico. Loving wife of Bill, mother of Todd (Kathy) and Debra, Granny of Kaitlyn and Tyler. Sister to Sophie, Helga and Ronnie. A memorial service to celebrate her life will held at a later date to be announced.

GOODCHILD, William James
passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 30, 2003 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 92nd year. William retired from Oshawa General Motors and was a member of Kingsview United Church. William is survived by his dear sisters Kathleen and Verna, and sister in law Elizabeth. Predeceased by his sister Marie, and his brother George. William is also survived by his loving niece Judy West (Chris), and nephews Ted (Carol), Dan (Lee), and Brian (Shelley). Predeceased by his nephew Peter. William is also survived by many grandnieces and nephews and great grandnieces and nephews and many cousins. Resting at The ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East Oshawa, with funeral service in the Chapel on Friday January 2, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Interment Union Cemetery. Retired Teacher of the Durham Catholic Separate School Board. passed away suddenly on Tuesday December 30th, 2003, in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Monica. Cherished father of Brian and wife Charmaine, Kertis, Lisa and husband Sandy, Susan and husband Derek, Michelle and husband Michael, Marlon and wife Corina, Jeanille and Damian. Loving grandfather to Adrian, Aleisha, Christopher, Cassandra and Tyrell, Russell and Bradley, Ashley and Britney, Miguel and Ethan. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother in law, father in law and friend. He was dedicated to his church, he was always generous and kind. Sadly missed and always in our hearts. In her 70th year, peacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Monday, December 29th, 2003, surrounded by family, after a short battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of 47 years of the late Jim Carey, loving mother of Patricia (Robert) and Sandra (Peter), and dearly loved Baba of Katie and Rebecca. She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Joyce and Christina and her many nieces, nephews, dear friends and her cats. She was a thirty-eight year volunteer with Oshawa Hospital Auxiliary and enjoyed a lifetime of long and loyal friendships. Loving mother of the late Nancy (Darlow) Howgate (2003) and her late husband Frank Howgate (2002). Fondly remembered by her grand daughter Janet Anne of Sunderland, her great grandson Philip and her foster grandson Tony Gingras and his wife Donna of Newmarket. Dear sister of John & Carmen Smith of Willowdale. Special Aunt of Joan & Ian Mooney of Thornhill. Funeral Service was held from the Thorne Funeral Home in Cannington on Tuesday, December 30th, 2003. After a short illness on Sunday, December 28, 2003 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 77. Gord Harris of Port Perry, beloved husband of the late Ena (nee Rider). Loved father of Linda, Sandra, Sharon, Dan, Doug and predeceased by Wendy and Rick. Loving grandfather of Tracy, Lisa, Christy, Shelly, Tory, Lindsey and Andrea and great grandfather of Morgan and Arin. Survived by his sister Florence Grant and his brothers Raymond and Les Harris. McEACHEN, Michael Weldon
(1956-2003) After a life of laughter and joy with his beloved wife Ingrid, sons Stephen and Ryan, and daughter Allyson, Michael departed this world on Sunday, December 28, 2003 showing his trademark courage, strength and humour. A devoted husband and father, his family knows he will always be with them. Predeceased by his dear mother Agatha, Mike will be deeply missed by his father Weldon and his wife Ruth; sisters Patti (Barry), Cathy (Jerry) and Sheila; and his brothers, Steve (Kerryn) and Sean (Tina). His nephews Matt, Mike, Mark, Jeffrey, Kelly, Connor and Max, and nieces Megan, Sarah, Carly and Hannah will always remember their Uncle Mike and know a special angel will be watching over them forever. Michael was known for his gracious, fun-loving nature by his colleagues and friends in the construction industry, having built and run Miwel Construction Ltd. with his father. His dear friends in Toronto, Pickering, Ennismore and the Ottawa Valley were very important to Mike and brought him great joy. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Avenue, Pickering on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at 1 p.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Thank you to the staff at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and Centenary Health Centre, Dr. Quirt, Dr. Anglin and the many angels who carried him through. SMITH, Linda Anne
passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2003, at 48 years of age. She was friend and loving mother to Sarah. An exceptionally loving and adoring nana to Megan. Beloved daughter of William and Marion Smith of England. Loving sister of Helen Smith and Will Smith of England. Wonderful aunt to Jess. Beloved soulmate of Wayne always. Cherished, lifelong friend to Pat. Sadly missed, and much loved by her God-children and their families. Linda will be remembered for her laughter, her brilliance and above all, her beautiful capacity to love so completely. She'll live on inside us, until we meet again.
