(Life member of the Oshawa Garden Club and longtime member of Christ Memorial Anglican Church) Peacefully, at Sunnycrest Nursing Home on Friday, January 23, 2004, Dorothy (nee Skingley) in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Earle Edmund Sandford. Dear mother of Robert and his wife Fran. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Cherylann and husband Dave Thoms, Tammy and husband Dave Doucette, Sonya and husband John Coles and the late Judy and great-grandchildren, Olivia Wiggins Reid and husband Darren, Stephanie Wiggins, Max Sabourin and Brittany Coles. Sister of May Bradbury and the late Blanche Kellett. Remembered by nieces Donna and Linda. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. A complete service will be held in the chapel on Monday, January 26, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. Cremation. Daughter of the late Henry and Jane Adams of Toronto, passed away peacefully at the Bay Ridges Nursing Home, Pickering, Ontario on Friday, January 23rd in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late George Sweet. Cherished aunt of Donna and Gord Stell of Oshawa. Great aunt of Grand Stell of Toronto and Jackie and David Buckingham, Jayme and Sarah of Ottawa. Predeceased by sister Kathleen and brothers Sidney & Roger. A quiet family service was held in the chapel of ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, followed by Interment at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. Special great-Nana of Amy, Kerri, Chris, Allison, Stevie, Aaron, Tyler, Will, Craig and Lindsay. Loved by sons-in-law Chris and Ray. Tragically taken from us on Thursday, January 22nd, 2004 at the age of 28. Beloved son of Marion and the late Frederick. CADE, Alexander William
Peacefully, in only his 16th month on Thursday, January 22nd, at the Hospital for Sick Children. Held closely by his Mom Susan, with his Dad Jeff at his side, listening to his favorite music. Alex is grandson to Cyril and Rene Cade, and John and Judy Ford, all of Ajax. Alex and his parents were supported by a great family that were always present when needed. Alex was the bravest little boy that anyone could ever imagine, putting up the strongest fight that most of us could not equal, all the time without complaint. He is at peace now, and his family could not be more proud or thankful to have him in their lives, even if for such a short time. Alex, you taught us all how to be stronger and how not to be afraid of anything. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We love you Alex, you will be missed so much. Family and friends were received at the Accetrone Funeral Home on Monday January 26th, 2004. Receiving from 10am-12 noon, Service at 12 noon. Reception to follow at Accettone Funeral Home. (Veteran of World War II, Royal Canadian Navy) Peacefully at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Thursday, January 22nd, 2004 with his family by his side. Former husband of the late Joan Lloyd. June 1st, 1921 - January 21st, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Roy Edward Cox. Beloved mother of Jack Roy Cox and Beverly Lynn Peever. Precious and much loved Grandmother of Richard Jack Cox, Kelly Ann Cox, Tracy Lynn Cox and Shawn Roy Peever. Predeceased by her parents Alonzo and Elsie Hogel, sisters: Barbara Finlay, Muriel Burtinsky, brothers: Lloyd Hogel, Donald Hogel, Howard Hogel and Harry Hogel. Survived by sisters Doris Beckell, Ruth Veysey, Shirley Wallace and brother Everett Hogel of Oshawa. Also survived by three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Peacefully and with dignity, at home with her family, after a courageous and well-fought battle with cancer. Ivy, in her 72nd year, left us Wednesday, January 21st, 2004. Loving mother to Linda White of Whitby, Michael and Tracey Pounder of Oshawa and Stephen Pounder and his wife Aniko Thomas of South Carolina. Much loved Gran to Christopher and Kelly White of California, Beverly and Paul Decker, Tina and Rick Vautour, Laura Pounder and her partner Garry Linsdell, Melissa, Tasha, Nicole and Graham Pounder all of Oshawa, Stevi Pounder of South Carolina, and Shelby Pounder of Oshawa. Cherished and doting Great-Gran to Kaitlin and Paige White of California, Stephanie White and Brandon Decker, Keedryn and Kierstyn Vautour, and Austen Patterson and Destinee Linsdell, all of Oshawa. Ivy will be sadly missed by her surviving brothers and their families in England as well as many other close family members and caring friends. Fondly remembered by brother Brian and his wife Sandra of Ottawa, brother Michael and his wife Jill of Vancouver, sister Sharon and her husband Keith of Whitby, and brother of the late Kevin Sutcliffe. Cherished uncle of 9 nieces and nephews, and best friend to all who knew him. Will be missed by many friends and relatives in Kapuskasing, Hamilton, Toronto and Ottawa. Resting at W. C. Loved father of Lorraine and her husband Victor Neal, and stepfather of Denise Dupont, Gary Savage and his wife Cheryl, and Ken Savage and his wife Gladys. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by his sister Coyla Kirk.
