Suddenly on Tuesday, January 20, 2004. Loving husband of Maureen (nee Crawford). Devoted Dad to Ryan, Ben, and Erin. Dear son of Willy and the late Ted Rogue. Dearest brother of Ed and his wife Laura and their son Clinton. Sadly missed by the Crawford family: Bill and Terry, Bill, Michael, Cheryl, Joshua, Lucas, and Adrianna. Fondly remembered by his family and friends in Canada, the U.S., and in Holland. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday. Suddenly, on Monday, January 19, 2004, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Rod. Dear mother of Debby (Peter) Young, David (Beth) Hawkins, Cindy (Larry) Chupa, Danny, Jo-anne (Bernie) Visser. Loving nan of Adam Young; Ryan, Benjamin, Jonathan and Mary Chupa; Steve, Jennifer and Stephanie Visser; and Pierre Sabourin. Survived by her sister Mabel Appleton of Barrie. The family will receive friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation. HODGSON, Eric
(Veteran of WWII). Suddenly at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, on Monday, January 19, 2004, in his 84th year. Loving husband of Joy (nee Harris) of Bowmanville. Dear father of Lorraine and her husband Barry Kelly of Newcastle, Larry and his wife Cathy of Minden, and Jeff and his wife Chris of Oshawa. Adored Grandpa of Tamara, David, Madison, Danielle, and Mark. Survived by his brother Wilfred of Vancouver, and predeceased by Stanley, Harry, Beatrice, Dolly, Percy, and Ernest. Eric was the greatest fan of the Maple Leafs there ever was. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S., (just north of 401 at the lights) on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 1-3 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. Cremation. Retired General Motors Corporation after 33 years service. Peacefully on Monday January 19, 2004 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 70. Frank, beloved husband of Sylvia. Dear brother of Ferdinand and his family in Kelowna, BC, Tony and his family of Slovenia, and Zofi and her family of Slovenia. Frank will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loved family and friends here in Canada and in Slovenia. JOYCE Mabel Pamela (Permelia)
Mabel was born May 6, 1901 in Waterloo to John and Permelia 'Millie' Joyce. She died peacefully at ThorntonView Long Term Care in Oshawa on Sunday, January 18, 2004 in her 103rd year. She was predeceased by a sister, Greta and brothers, Norman, Harry, Edward and Robert. She is survived by a son, Jeremy who lives at The Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf, Toronto. Mabel was a member of First Baptist Church, Oshawa, where she served as choir director, organist and soloist as well as being a member of the Mary Elliot Smith Mission Circle and the Kate McLaurin Mission Circle. She was a member of the Professional Women's Business Association, the Weavers and Spinners Guild and a life member of the Pioneer Button Club. She worked for Bathe and McLellan Building Materials Ltd. as a bookkeeper until her retirement. A complete funeral service will be held at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 812 Hortop Street, Oshawa at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2004. Visitation will be at the church prior to the service from 12 noon to 1:00p.m. Interment of her cremated remains will be held at Mount Lawn Cemetery, Whitby. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church or to The Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf, through McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).

MACKIE, Douglas Alexander
Peacefully, on Sunday, January 18, 2004, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 88. Doug Mackie of Blackstock, beloved husband of the late Ethel (nee Hamilton. Loving father of Bobbie and her husband Terry Finley of Oakwood, Laurel and her husband Bill Ptolemy of Blackstock, Dave Mackie of Mattawa, and Ginnie Mackie of Toronto. Loved grandfather of Wade, Ryan and his wife Laura, Lucas and great grandfather of Cally and Caden. Predeceased by his brother Herbert Mackie and his wife Kathleen. Relatives and friends will be received at the family farm in Blackstock on Sunday, January 25th from 1 - 5 p.m. to celebrate the life of Doug Mackie. Passed away at the Colonial Retirement Home, Whitby on Sunday January 18, 2004 in her 89th year. Mae, beloved wife of the late Archie. Dear mother of Bruce and his wife Jennifer. Loving grandmother of Julie, Heather, and Amy (all of Whitby). A Memorial Service was held at the Cudney Funeral Chapel, Welland, Ontario on Friday January 23, 2004. Cremation followed by interment at Fonthill Cemetery, Fonthill, Ontario. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

TAYLOR, Wayne F.
Peacefully passed away on January 18, 2004 at the Ajax Pickering Hospital, in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Shirley. Loving father to Cindy and her husband Mike McInerney and Sandy and her husband Dean Roberge. Cherished grandpa to Brandon, Ryan, Shannon and Nicole. Also dear brother to Gail DeGraauw and Murray Taylor. Wayne will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. After a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, in her 75th year. Jean, beloved wife of the late Harry Brown. Dear mother of Ronald (Lisa), Barbara (Frank), Gary (Heather), Neil (Bev), Danny (Tracey), Tammy (Peter), Candy (Tim) and Martin (Leah). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Ronald, Tanya, Nicholas, Danielle, Clayton, Dallas, Tara, Dustin, Eric, Jake and Matthew. Survived by sisters Margaret, Eva, Shirley, Hilda and brothers William and Keith. Predeceased by Lloyd, Gordon, Norm and Florence. Resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home on Monday, January 19th, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Tuesday, January 20th at 2:00 p.m. Followed by cremation. RINTOUL, Henry Fife (Harry)
Born in Ballachulish, Scotland 1913. W.W.II Veteran, H.M.S. Columbo. Former employee of the Robert Simpson Co. and teacher. After a brief illness, in his 91st year, it is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Harry on January 17th, 2004. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Winnie, by just one month. Harry will be dearly missed by his devoted daughter Linda and son-in-law Brian Skinner, precious granddaughter Katie and dear friend Christine. ''Uncle Harry'' will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, especially those in the Wolfe and McCrea families and by the Duncan, McKirdy and Jamieson families in Scotland. Thank you to the care-givers at Altamont for their kindness during his short stay and to Para Med staff for many years of love and care. Special thanks to the staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their extraordinary kindness, care and professionalism. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at MacEachnie Funeral Home, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2004. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto Maple Leafs ''Go Kids Go'' Fund would be appreciated.

SAVAGE, Barbara Muriel
(Retired member of the Order of the Eastern Star; retired from Sherbrooke Hospital after many years as a dedicated R.N.; resident of Kendal for the past 21 years). After a brief illness at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, on Saturday, January 17, 2004, in her 83rd year. Barbara, loving wife for 33 years of the late Thomas Alexander (Alec) Savage. Devoted mother of Daniel and his wife Marilyn of Perth, James, Ian, and Debbie and her husband Don Peddar, all of Kendal. Loving Grandma of Joanna, Heather, Peter; Billy, Echo; Chris and his wife Michelle, Patrick, Bradley; Shawna, Jeremy, Jody, and great-grandmother of Austin. At Sunnycrest Nursing Home, Whitby, on. Saturday January 17, 2004, Marjorie, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Emerson Vance. Dear mother of Deanna and husband William Anderson of Lindsay and Kenneth and wife Donna of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, David Anderson, Lisa Stephens and Michael Vance and great-granddaughter, Madison. Survived by her sister-in-law Elma Neuman (Flewell) of Oshawa. Marjorie was very active with the Oshawa Seniors and was a founding member of the Oshawa Genealogy Society and former employee of the T. Eaton Co. and Bell Telephone Co. After a short illness at her daughter's home in Picton, on Saturday, January 17th, 2004. Marjorie Bernice Windover, formerly of Oshawa, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Dorland Windover and later Sid Zednick. Loving mother of Shirley Kay and her husband Leon of Picton. Dear sister of Helen Gallagher and the late Jean Oliver, R.J. McIlwaine, Mary Mack, Morley McIlwaine and missed by her sister -in-law Gladys McIlwaine and Winn Mcllwaine. Loved and missed by her granddaughter Tabitha Kay. A celebration of Mrs. Windover's Life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 44 William Street Oshawa, Ontario. On Saturday, January 24th at 10a.m. Pastor Dennis Becker officiating.
