(member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Whitby Legion Branch #112). Entered into rest at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on Wednesday May 12, 2004 in her 78th year. Viola, beloved wife of the late Donald. Loving mother of Donna Henderson and Otto Zimmer, Diana Gordon, and Debbie Sirizzotti and her husband Luigi. Dear grandmother of Marianne and her husband Roland Greber, Michael Clynch, Kim, Tracey, and their families. Fondly remembered by her many relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Sunday with a Ladies Auxillary Service at 7:30 pm. Service in the Chapel on Monday May 17, 2004 at 11am followed by cremation. Burial will take place at GROVESIDE Cemetery at a later date. In memoriam, donations may be made to a Charity of your choice.

HOPE, Steven Dale
After a lengthy battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 12th, 2004 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital at age 45. Dale beloved son of Joan and the late Merle Hope. Dear brother of John and Ron and his wife Elaine. Fondly remembered by his niece Susie and nephew Tom. A service to celebrate Dale's life will be held at the Low & Low Funeral Home on Monday, May 17th, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior. In Dale's memory, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital would be appreciated.

LOCKETT, Elizabeth Sophia (Bessie)
Formerly of Brooklin for 56 happy years. Gone to be with her Lord, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Wednesday May 12, 2004. Elizabeth (Bessie) Lockett in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Lockett. Survived by her loving daughter Doreen and her husband Bud Edgar of Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by her grandchilren, Kimberly MacPherson of Oshawa, Rick Edgar and his wife Rebecca of Brighton and Joe Edgar and his wife Sue of Mission, BC, by her great grandchildren James, Chris, Matt, Amanda, Max, Jessica, Chelsea and by her great great grandchilren Drake. A special thank you to the staff of Hillsdale Manor for their care and kindness. A private family service was held at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday May 14. Interment was held at Thornton Cemetery.

MUIRHEAD, Annie Grace (nee Parkhurst)
Peacefully on May 12, 2004 at Lakeridge Health - Port Perry. In her 78th year, Grace was born May 2, 1927 in Oshawa, Ontario. Beloved wife of Orwell Laverne Muirhead. Grace was predeceased by her mother, Edna May Lee, her father, William David Parkhurst, and her stepmother, Eliza Jane Trafford. She was also predeceased by her sister, Elinore Mary Parkhurst and husband Gordon Hanna, and her brother, Robert James Parkhurst and his wife Eunice Irene Fluegel. Loving mother of Laverne and his wife Suzanne, Carl and his wife Dale, Terry and his wife Gail, and Anna-May and her husband Craig. Dear grandmother of Amanda, Jacalyn, Chad, Krista, Yvonne and her husband Jason, and Adam Muirhead, Ian, Bradley, and Ashley Foster . Fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends. Friends and family may call at Baragar Funeral Home, 38 Bridge Street North, Bancroft, Ontario for visitation Friday May 14th from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, or from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. passed away peacefully at Thorntonview Long Term Care Facility, Oshawa on Wednesday May 12, 2004. Morley Powell in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy. Dear father of Kenneth (Helene), Larry (Debbie), Clifford (Susan), and Clayton (Suzzane). Lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mildred Puckrin (Hollinger), dearly beloved wife and best friend of Fred for 60 wonderful years. Cherished mother of Keith and Diane Puckrin, Roy and Marilyn Puckrin, Lynda Davis-Cormier and Mike Cormier, Dianne and Gord Hooker, and predeceased by Nancy Rogerson. Loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of William Hollinger, Cecil Hollinger (Betty), Ken Hollinger (Marion), sister-in-law of Phyllis Hollinger, and predeceased by Leslie, Murray and Leonard Hollinger, Merle Gale, Ruth Mitchell and Doris Hollinger. BROOKS, Mary Eleanor (nee Williams)
Peacefully passing at her Oshawa residence on Tuesday, May 11th, 2004, in her 85th year. Mary Brooks beloved wife of the late Lloyd Brooks. Dear mother of Rick Brooks and his wife Colleen Martineau-Brooks of Oshawa, Janice and Dan Larade of Emsdale and Joan and Gary McDougall of Orleans, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren James and Sarah Brooks, Travis and Kyle Larade. Dearest sister of Dorothy Dalton, Jim Williams and his wife Donalda, Don Williams and his wife Anna, all of Oshawa. Predeceased by her sister Laura Chinn. Mary will be especially missed by Bill Penberthy, her niece Bonnie and husband Brian McDade with whom she spent many happy hours. Mary will be fondly remembered by her cousins Joyce Netley of Toronto and Don Netley of Oshawa as well as her many nieces and nephews. CURRIE, Robert William
passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, shortly after celebrating his 92nd birthday. Bob led a full life, filled with hard work, loving relationships, spirited challenges and humour. He will live on in the hearts of his family. Bob was a loving husband to Evelyn, father to Carole and her husband Steve, grandfather to Wendy, David, Laurie and great grandfather to Brayden, Griffen, Briar and Emma. Family and friends may call at the Low & Low Funeral Home, on Friday, May 14, 2004 from 1 to 2 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bob Currie will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, peacefully on Tuesday, May 11th, 2004 at 1:15 a.m., in his 72nd year. Loving husband of Gioconda (nee Albanese). Will be sadly missed by his three brothers in Italy, Angelo, Mario and Nino.
