Jakiem was born September 23, 1914 in Spasew Ukraine and immigrated to Canada following his services in World War II. He first settled in Saskatchewan before moving to Oshawa. He married Katherine in 1954 and together they raised four children: Walter Senyk and his wife Laurie, Olga Senyk, Natalie and her husband Doug Howe, and Sylvia and her husband Douglas Weeks. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Katrina, Janna and Stefan, Timothy, Amy and Matthew. James will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family and many friends. On Friday June 11, 2004 Bonnie Waller left her family on earth to go to her final resting place. She died peacefully in her son's arms at the Rouge Valley Health Centre, Ajax.
