GULLEY, James Arthur
(Retired 35 year employee Ontario Hydro) The family is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Thursday, September 30, 2004, at Fairview Lodge Whitby, in his 70th year. Loving husband of Margaret and father of Sandra and Susan and her husband Paul Adair, he will also be missed by his grandsons Connor and Jordan Adair. He is is also survived by his brother David (Helen) of B.C., Patricia (Ken) of Alberta and his nieces and nephew, Catherine, Christine, Dennis, Lorraine and Barbara. Jim started his career with Ontario Hydro after graduation from U. of A. in 1957, and was in their employ for 35 years. His first assignment was at Whitedog Falls in N.W. Ontario and he also called Toronto and Ottawa, Belleville, Renfrew, Sarnia and Kingston his home. In Oshawa he spent many years as a judo instructor at Woodview Park with his good friend Charlie. Family, friends and colleagues are invited to a visitation at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E. Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Monday, October 4, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Private Interment at Thornton Cemetery. lf desired, donations made to Durham Region Cancer Centre or the Parkinson Society Canada would be greatly appreciated.

passed away peacefully at Erie County Nursing Home, Batavia, New York on Thursday September 30, 2004, at the age of 98. He will be truly missed by his friend Maria & her family, by his nephew Myron Jaworiwsky & his wife Vera & their family, and by his sister Olha in Ukraine & her family. Son of the late Howard and Edith Dobson and brother of the late Harold Holtby Dobson. KIRKALDY, John David Jack
(Retired 46 year employee of EMCO, long time Member of Oshawa Golf Club) Peacefully at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Wednesday, September 29th, 2004 in his 70th year. Jack, beloved husband of Jayne (nee Power) for 45 years. Loving father of Debbie (David) Sloan, Cathy (Doug) Jordan and Cindy (Stan) Lee. Brother of Mary (Bill) Hogg and the late Jim Kirkaldy. She lived most of her life in Saskatchewan before moving to Ontario in 1996. PINGLE, John
Died suddenly on Monday, September 27, 2004, at Rouge Valley Health Centre, Ajax. Loving husband of Betty for over 50 years. Brother to the late Bill, Elva and Ora. He is survived by sister Marilyn and many nieces and nephews. As John wished, cremation has taken place. Robert Corneal of Oshawa. Brothers William (Betty deceased) Wright of Lyn, Ontario; Lawrence Wright (Shelley deceased) of Oshawa; Nelson (Leona deceased) of Bowmanville. Loved by Mother-in-law Dorothy (Ernest deceased) Martin of Oshawa. Dear Brother-in-law of Lorne Martin (Jewel deceased); Georgina Hanson (Jim deceased). Friend Lenard Bretnall; Yvonne and Robert Woodward; Joanne and Jeurgen Achtzehnter; Ernie and Karen Martin. Loved and sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins. He will be missed by his friends in the antique business. His love of antiques was well known. An employee of Loblaws for 42 years. COPELAND, Catherine
passed away peacefully on Sunday September 26, 2004 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her devoted husband Henry. She leaves behind her loving children, Brenda and Tom, her cherished grandchildren, Brittany and Stephen, and a drawer full of uneaten chocolate. Special thanks to the caring Doctors and Nurses at 4 East, Rouge Valley Ajax Pickering Health Centre. She will be missed by all who knew her. CROUTER, Richard (Dick)
(Formerly of Port Perry). After a valiant fight against cancer, quietly passed on to a better place at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Sunday September 26th, 2004. Dick was a tool and die maker at Pedlar People for over 40 years and finished his career at General Motors. He was actively involved in the Scouting movement for over 25 years and recently enjoyed his many travels with his wife or sharing an afternoon with his curling and golfing buddies. Most important, he was a family man. Dick lived a full life for 81 years but still died too soon, he has left behind a big hole in the hearts of many. Beloved husband of Eileen Crouter (nee Flynn) and predeceased by his first wife Betty Crouter (nee Mills). Loving father of Bonnie Bunner and her husband Gary of Largo, Florida, Bill Crouter and his wife Jackie of Little Britain and Betty Anne Crouter of London. Lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren; Todd Bunner, Tracy Curry (Alan), Shauna MacEachern (Doug), Craig Kosior, John Crouter (Vera) and Christine Kosior and by his seven grandchildren; Lola, Darren, Branden, Hayleigh, Colin, Cameron and Adam. Dear brother of the late Kathleen Pollock. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the nurses on the 6th floor at Lakeridge Health, for their special loving care.
