In her 96th year, died peacefully at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry on Sunday, November 28, 2004. Hilda, formerly of Peterborough, Kitchener, Toronto and Port Perry was predeceased by her husband Harvey and her three sisters Elsie, Kathleen and Marjorie. Loving mother of Barbara Simmonds and her late husband, David Simmonds. Hilda will be fondly remembered by 6 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren: Bob and Louise Simmonds (Allison, Michael, Chip, Patrick), Don and Fay Simmonds (Shauna, Craig, Brett, April and Amber- predeceased), Bev and Rob Foster (Aimee, Jeremy, Mark, Josee), Gord and Sharon Simmonds (Matt, Krista, Scott, Jason), Jennifer and Philip Wilson (Katie, Sara, Jeffrey), Janet and Glenn Winder (Todd, Lyndsay, Carleigh, Travis). She was a special aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by the staff and her many friends at the Community Nursing Home and Villa. Loving father of Andre Lemire and his wife Carol of Bowmanville, Luc Lemire and his wife Denise of Oshawa, Nathalie Allen and her husband Tom also of Oshawa. Stepfather of Danic Poirier and his wife Melanie of Oshawa, Eric Poirier and his wife Joanne of Pickering, and Stephanie Poirier of Oshawa. Bestest grandfather to Nicholas and Ashlyn Lemire, Dayna and Courtney Allen, Tia Lemire, Nicholas and Jayde Poirier. Beloved brother of Jean, Jim, Guy, Lise, Danielle and France all of Quebec.
