YOUNG, Roy
September 13, 1913 - November 5, 2004. Surrounded by his family and friends Roy passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Roy was a wonderful man who had an excellent and full life. An active man until his final days, he always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Roy was an avid pigeon fancier since the age of 12 and he took great pride in racing pigeons. Stop by for a tea and a talk and he, with that green thumb, would be sending you home with a tomato or two. Beloved husband to the late Jeannie (nee McGrath). Survived by his daughter Patti-Jean (husband Harold Matheis), their daughter Talia-Jean. His daughter Jeannette (husband Joe Jennings) and their daughter Jennifer (husband Bill Morrison), their son Blair Jennings (wife Bonnie). His son Roy Jr. (wife Linda), and Roy's children Dane, Chris, Randy, Kelly and Laura. He will be missed by his many great grandchildren including Katy, Erin, Sarah and Cody. Beloved brother to Edna, Lorne, Jo and Ken and the late Nellie, Hannah, May, Queen and James.

CORY, Ruth Alberta (nee Found)
(Resident of Extendicare, Oshawa) Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Thursday, November 4th, 2004. Ruth, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Cecil Cory. Loving mother of Carroll and husband Gary Porteous of Janetville, Margaret and husband Tom Harris of Oshawa, and the late Dorothy Lockwood and late William Cory. Dear grandmother of Bill Lockwood (Cheryl-Lynn), Michael Lockwood, Sherry Jackson (George), Monica Porteous (Larry), Lauren Sawyer (David), Carrie Porteous, Gregory Harris and Ryan Harris. Great-grandmother of Melissa, Katelyn, Brittany, Jacob, Caleb, Meaghan and Matthew. Survived by her sister Ada Wright of Lindsay and predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at MACKEY FUNERAL HOME, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721) on Monday, November 8th, 2004 from 12 noon until the time of service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. Donations in memory of Ruth to Centennial-Albert United Church, Oshawa or the Durham Children's Aid Society would be appreciated.

FAULKNER, Roy H.
Gone home to be with the Lord, on Thursday November 4th, 2004 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of the late Rose Faulkner. Loving father of Ian and his wife Sandra, Neil and his girlfriend Ashley Singleton and Kirk. Dear grandfather of Jaiden. Son of the late Percy and Edith Faulkner. Roy will also be dearly missed by Darlene and Stan Madden and family. HARSHAW, June Lydia
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of June, on Thursday, November 4th, 2004, in her 58th year. Loving mother, daughter, sister and friend; she will be sadly missed by her son, Jimy (Diane) and daughter, Sara (Mark Richardson), her parents Bob and Jeanette Clifford, Her brother Steve Clifford, grandsons JT and Robert, her nephews Drew Green and Daniel Clifford, Uncle Ray and Aunt Kath, Uncle Mick and family in England, Clarice, George, Tim and Cathi Harshaw, Jody Dale and her many, many friends. June will be remembered for her numerous talents and gifts, her energetic, active lifestyle, her generous, kind spirit and her love of family and friends. Whether skiing at the Elbow, sewing, painting houses, preparing sumptuous meals or working to maintain the farm, June worked diligently and tirelessly, imbuing all things with peace, harmony and beauty. The family would like to thank the health care workers in St. Michaels Hospital Surgical ICU for their wonderfully compassionate efforts while caring for June. In June's memory, donations may be made to the Uxbridge Kinsmen Preservation Fund or Participation House, Markham.

POWELL, Stanley
At his home, in Whitby, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family, on Thursday, November 4, 2004, at the age of 85. S tanley Powell, beloved husband of Edith (nee Petty). Loving father of Allan (of Ballantrae), Grace and her husband Robert Peacock (of Orono), Gary and his wife Lynne (of Ajax), and Kevin and his wife Jo-Ann (of Oshawa). Dear grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Ajax-Pickering Health Centre.

PRZELIORZS, Jozef
passed away peacefully on Thursday November 4, 2004 in his 82nd year at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. He retired after many years as a meat manager for the Loblaws Corporation. Jozef was the beloved husband the late Winifred, who died in 2003. He was the loving father of Erika and father in law of Clive Lilwall of Whitby, and father of Roger Przeliorz of Keswick. Loved grandfather of Carmen Knight-Wade and her husband Vernon Wade, and Karen Lilwall, and great grandfather of Joshua, Kendra Lee, and Sidny Wade. Loved brother of Ludevik Przeliorz of Germany, and Franic Przeliorz of Poland. Many thanks to the staff at The Village of Taunton Mills in Whitby, who took such good care of Jozef during the past year. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Tuesday November 9th after 10am. Funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home at 11am. (retired blacksmith with GM and long-time Newtonville resident). Suddenly at Bowmanville on Thursday, November 4, 2004, in his 79th year. Sid, beloved husband for 57 years of Joyce Stacey. Loving father of Jane (Mike), Judy (Bill), Jim (Beth), and Jerry (Carol). Grandpa of Sandy, Laurie, Brad, Stacy, Mike, Nicholas, Darryl, Lance, and Megan. Great-grandpa of Taylor, Joseph, Jordan, Alexandra, Conner, and Cooper. Dear brother of Vina, Jean, Bill, Winnie, Norm, and the late Wilbur, Dorothy, Verna, and Vernon. AMELL, Mary Elizabeth
At Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday November 3, 2004 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Leo Amell. Dear mother of the late Reginald Amell and the late Barbara Bleeker. Proud grandmother of Peter Amell, Susan Peckford, Kym Bleeker, Jeff Clark, and Stephen Bleeker. Great Grandmother of Amanda, Kelsey, Dakota, Jennifer, Jesse, Dylan, Michelle, Stephanie, and Breanna. Great Great Grandmother of Julian. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday November 6, 2004 at St. John the Evangelist Church 903 Giffard St., in Whitby at 10:30 am.

BENKOWSKI, Zygmond Joseph (Ziggy)
Gone to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Retired employee of General Motors of Canada and North End Bowl). After a lengthy illness passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 3, 2004 at the age of 73 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Aldred) for 49 years. Dear father of Joanne and her husband Gary Lintlop. Predeceased by his daughter Cynthia Marie. Loving Grandfather to Joseph Lintlop and his wife Meaghanne, and Jennifer Lintlop. Very proud Poppy of his Great Grandsons Nathan and Dylan Lintlop. Special Popa to Rhonda Gannon. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Helen Bienkowski. Dear Brother of Ann, Paulie, Violet, George, Christina and their families. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. A special Thank You to Dr. Ward, Jane and all the wonderful nurses at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for all their care and compassion to Ziggy and his family during this time. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. Also survived by granddaughter Susan McGuire (Dan) and grandsons Chris (Lisa), Gary (Gail) and Steven (Maureen), and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Roy (Lorraine). Daughter of the late Charles and Ada Cornish. Predeceased by sister Hilda and brothers Ewart, Oswald, Edmund and Donald.
