(Retired 40 year employee of General Motors Canada) Peacefully and courageously after a battle with cancer, with family by his side at the Lakeridge-Health Whitby on Friday, December 31st, 2004 in his 79th year. Dearly beloved husband of Marie. Loving father of Leon, Cathy (John), Wayne, Donna, Carol (Dan), and Sandra. Cherished grandfather of Jason, Joshua, Ryan, Wayne, Mark, Melanie, Crystal, Matthew, Donevan, Sarah, Cassidy, and great-grandfather of Raina, Jacob, and Jordan. Dear brother of Lorne, Don, Edwin, Noreen, Carmel, and predeceased by the late Bert and Vince and his parents Edward and Elizabeth Curtin. Sadly missed by many family and friends. Friends were received at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE Thornton Chapel , 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Tuesday, January 4th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service was held in the Chapel on Wednesday, January 4th at 3pm. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

(WW II Veteran, Royal Canadian Navy, 1943-1946) In Oshawa on Friday, December 31, 2004, aged 78 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Estelle for 56 years. Loving father of Suzanne Legere, Gail Legere, Laura Lee Stainton (Terry), and John Legere (Andrea). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren John, Emma, Emily, and Brianna. (Member of Oshawa Little Theatre for many years;member of St. George's Memorial Anglican Church Choir). passed away quietly in her sleep, on the morning of Thursday, December 30, 2004, in her 85th year, at Strathaven Lifecare Centre Bowmanville. Loving and devoted wife of Lewis Overton for 57 years. Much loved and cherished mother of Lesley Foreman and Lindsay Byrd. Also survived by her caring and devoted son-in-law Guy Foreman. Greatly loved 'Mema' of Amanda, Lance and Nick. Also sadly missed by her stepgrandchildren Brad and Kim. Loving sister of Jean Neese and her husband Dale of Odessa, Texas. Survived by brother-in-law Stuart Overton and his wife Linda and nieces and nephews, Kerry, Sean, Barbara and Gerald. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Emma Sterriker and mother-in-law Charlotte Elizabeth Overton. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. Grandmother of Mitchell and Kaelyn Rice and Cheyenne Jarrett Rice. Survived by her mother Thelma and Roy Ormiston. Predeceased by her father Glenn Reazin. Dear sister of Irv Reazin, Jean Koster, Ruth DeMant and Bryan Reazin. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received by the family at Brooklin United Church (Princess and Cassels Rds) Brooklin Monday January 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to follow in the church Tuesday January 4th at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Loving Papa to John, Glen, Jennifer, Scott, Craig, Derek, Brian, Michael, Amanda, and Shannon. Great-grandfather of Michael, Chelsea, Leif, Cory, Ashley, and Dylan. Peacefully, after a lengthy illness and surrounded by family at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on December 29th at age 70. Predeceased by husband Don (1998). Devoted and loving Mother of Kathy (Troy), Donny (Catherine), Susan (Rick), Darrell (Liane). Proud grandmother of Carl, Terri, Bret, Brandon, Dylan, Kayleigh, Cameron, Logan, & Sydney. Daughter of Hugh Allen of Cobourg. A memorial service for friends and family will be held at Myrtle United Church (9465 Baldwin St. / Hwy 12, Myrtle) at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4th. Much loved grandfather of Jimmy and Steven Snoxall, Lindsay Petry, Bradley and Ryan Louwe, and step granddaughter Tanya Petry. passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2004, at the age of 65. Carolyn, wife of the late Bruce Paradine. Loving mother of Kim (Michael), Cindy (David), Philip (Amy), Steven (Kathryn) and Andrea (Shawn). Grandmother of Jennifer, Jonathan, Jesse, Tyler, Kayla, Kelsey, Paige, Bruce and Dakota. RICHARDSON, Laura Kathleen (nee Mackey)
passed away peacefully at Fairview Lodge, Whitby on Tuesday, December 28, 2004, in her 99th year. Laura, beloved wife of the late Robert. Loving mother of Phyllis and her husband James Harris of Oshawa, Paul and his wife Joan of Whitby. Loving grandmother of Fred Harris, Jayne Harris, Robert Harris, Frank Harris, James Harris and his wife Kelly, Andrew Richardson, Ellen Conti and her husband Paul, and the late Karen Richardson. Dear great-grandmother of Aleesha and Benjamin Harris, and Luke and Kate Conti. Fondly remembered by her sister Hilda Michell. Laura was the daughter of the late Charles and Lilla Mackey. She was predeceased by her brothers Howard Mackey, Everett Mackey, and by her sisters Greta White, Verna Griffen, and Elinor Fulton. Burial at GROVESIDE Cemetery, Brooklin. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Charity of your choice. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Fairview Lodge whose care and compassion to Laura was incomparable.

TANNER, Wesseley Earl
September 19, 1930 - December 28, 2004. Surrounded by his family, Wesseley Earl Tanner passed away. He was in his 75th year. He was predeceased by his wife Rosina in 2001. He leaves behind his children: Diane Begner (Roy), Kathy Straughan (Howard), Stephen (Carolyn), Charlene Richard (Allan). Grandchildren: Terry, Gary & Allison; Howie, Kelly & Gary; Jesse; Joe & Candy, Tom; He will also be missed by his brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews. Wes was a lifetime member of the Canadian Corps. and served in the Canadian Coast Guard. At his wish there will be no funeral. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
