FILLION, Golda
Golda passed away peacefully on December 23, 2004 at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa in her 81st year. She was born on March 13, 1924 in Cornwall to the late Sanford and Norah Emond. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne and her husband Keith Newman and her son Ronald and his wife Pat. Beloved grandmother of Tawni (Steve), Kelly (Steve), Annette (Art) and Tina (Todd) and great grandmother of Jessica, Sarah, Cameron, Christian, Tammy, Robert, Ariel and Heather. Predeceased by her son Roger and grandson Mark. She is also survived by her brothers, sisters, brothers and sisters in law, and many nieces and nephews from Cornwall, Campbellford and in the USA. Funeral service was held on Monday December 27th at 11:30 a.m. Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Hillsdale Estates would be greatly appreciated and may be made through the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905)433-4711.

LLOYD, George David
(Lifetime member of RCL Branch 43) With great sadness the family of George Lloyd announces his sudden passing at his home in Oshawa on Thursday, December 23rd, 2004, in his 69th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Elaine (March 2003). Left to mourn the passing of their father are children David Lloyd, Beverley (Phillip) Bilinski and Jennifer (Bill) Rorabeck. Papa's love and generosity will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Verity, Tyrone, Alisa, Katelyn, Dylan and Robyn. George is survived by his sister Ruth (Picton), brothers John (Oshawa), Richard (Pickering) and Doug (Scarborough); his many friends at Oshawa Senior Citizens Centre and life long friend Gordon Convery of Oshawa. At George's request, a private family Interment will take place at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal. STIRLING, Iain Robb
Suddenly in Lindsay on December 23rd, 2004. Loving husband of Judy. Loving father of Jandin. Beloved son of Drew and Maureen. Cherished brother of Andrew (Kathrine), Ross (Cindy), Yvonne (David), and Arlene (Peter). Iain will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many family and friends. Although Iain has spent many years in Canada, he was very proud of his Scottish heritage. Friends may visit at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE ''Thornton Chapel'', 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Thornton Cemetery. WOOD, Frederick Archibald "Archie"
(Long time employee of General Motors and Veteran WWII) . Suddenly at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, December 23rd, 2004 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Louise for 63 years. Archie will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Son of the late Spencer and Georgetta Wood. Visitiation and Funeral Service was held at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) on Monday, December 27th. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. Peacefully on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2004 at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa. In his 77th year. Beloved husband of Maria DoCarmo. Loving father of Paula and her husband Robert Beavis. Dear brother of Julia, Julio, Jose Manuel, Manuel Silvestre and Fernando. Uncle of Maria, Paul, Pedro and David. He will be sadly missed by his family in Portugal. HOWES, Barbara (nee Mosher)
passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2004 at the age of 65. Loving wife of the late Alfred Fredrick Howes. Dear mother of Linda of Cochrane, Rick of Ajax, Jim of Vancouver Island B.C., Wayne of Ingleside, Verna of Cornwall and Dan of Oshawa. Proud grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 5. Fondly remembered by her brothers Raymond, Robert and Jim and sisters Kay and Jean. Predeceased by her sister Dorothy. MACDONALD, Neil
On Tuesday December 21st, 2004, it is with love and grateful hearts we will remember a life well lived. A man of great kindness and courage, a war veteran and family hero has left us. His wife Mildred (Millie) children Marilyn and Robin, grandchildren Charity, Aaron, Constance, Taylor and Jamie and great grandchild Lily. Brothers John, Allister and Donald. Pre-deceased by his sister Susie, Annie and brother Bill. Loved by Sylvia and Art Wormald and their family, many nieces and nephews. His legacy to his family is his quiet but great faith, his love for his family and concern for others. McCLEMENT, James Howard

Loving mother of Louise Robinson and husband Terry Blace of Barrie, Janice Tweddle and husband Bruce of Beeton, Bill Robinson and wife Janel of Oshawa, and Scott Robinson and her daughter-in-law Bev of Leaskdale. Devoted grandmother to Rebecca Tweddle; Robert Long and fiancee Jessica Bradley, Tyler Long, and Laney Robinson; Lindsay, Lauren, Kalin and McKenna Robinson; Taylor and Shannon Blace. Dear sister of Alan Stevenson of Etobicoke, Gord Stevenson of Orangeville, Barb Denny of Stratford, Ross Stevenson of Orangeville, Gwen Soepboer of Stratford, Grant Stevenson of Red Deer, Alberta, Paul Stevenson of Palmerston, Stuart Stevenson of Stratford, and the late Jim Stevenson and the late Hugh Stevenson. Peacefully after a brief struggle with cancer on Monday, December 20th, 2004 at the age of 59. Beloved husband and best friend of Annie. Dear son of Philippe and the late Ellen Bouchard. Loving father of Kim Bouchard and her husband Paul Maskos. Treasured Branka of Trevor and Alex. Lovingly remembered by Vera Bouchard. Brother of Jeep and his friend Sharon, Jim and his wife Debbie, Lyn Corbin and her husband Richard. Larry will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, grand-nephews and his many relatives and friends. CATHCART, Edward George
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed. On Monday December 20, 2004 at 7:00 a.m., after a brief but courageous battle against lung cancer, Eddie, with his always devoted and loving wife Joan, of 44 years, holding his hand, he passed away peacefully at home as he wished. Eddie, who was born in Scotland on February 8, 1938, has touched the lives and hearts of many in his 66 years with his kind and always generous ways. None more than his three children, Colin, Mark (Lisa) and Julie (Dan). Beside a great love of cooking for everyone, one of his greatest pleasures in life was his five grandchildren. Missing their Papa deeply are Chantal, Gavin, Nicole, Stephanie and Samantha. They will truly miss the hugs and kisses that were always plentiful in his presence. At his request there will be cremation followed by a private family service. A special thank you to the Saint Elizabeth nurses who were so gentle and kind to him in his last days, also to Durham Access to Care for all their help especially Donalda for her caring ways. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

COLLIER, Brian Charles
Suddenly at home while sleeping on Monday December 20th, 2004 at the age of 46. Beloved husband of Laurie (nee White), Dad of 'Sledge'. Predeceased by his father Ray. Survived by his mother Edith, his sister Penny, brother Peter and his wife Debbie. Sadly missed by nieces Natalie and Nicole and mother & father-in-law Don & Vivian White, sister-in-law Marcia and her partner Paul Herlehy. Also remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins, many loving friends, neighbours and coworkers at PR Engineering. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday until time of service at 11 a.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations made in memory of Brian to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.

(Past Noble Grand of Beehive Rebekah Lodge #125, Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion # 178, Tyrone Orange Lodge and The Crystal Lodge). Peacefully with her daughter by her side at Marnwood Life Care Centre on Monday, December 20, 2004 in her 102nd year. Leah, beloved wife of the late Henry Marchant, John D. Graham and Steve Hendren. Loving mother of Mark (Evelyn) Marchant, Mary (Russ) Balson and Murray (Carol) Marchant. Predeceased by her sons Richard and Matthew Marchant. Survived by her daughter-in-law June Marchant. Loved grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 7 great great - grandchildren. Donations to Grandview Children's Foundation, Oshawa or the Charity of choice would be gratefully appreciated. Beehive Rebekah Lodge Service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m.

(Veteran of World War II, Lincoln and Welland Regiment). Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp.-Bowmanville on Monday December 20th, 2004 in his 89th year. Predeceased by his loving wife Gwelda of 62 years (Sept. 2004). Much loved father of Wayne (June), Gary (Gay), Brian (Nancy), Arlene Smyrk (Tom). Loving grandfather of Amy, Tara, Brent, Graham, Jonathan, Lisa, Christopher, Victoria, Caroline, Jackson, and great grandfather of Jessie Lyn and Paige. Private family service has taken place. (Long-time employee of Pentland Jewellers) passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2004, at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia, at age 84. May (nee Nichol) of Port Perry, dearly loved wife of the late Thomas Donnelly. She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her children Eric (Donna) of Prince Albert, Brian (Linda) of Brights Grove and Kathleen (Mike Gervais) of Barrie. Special Grandma to Melissa (Les Durward), Philip, Jennifer, Kristine, Heather and Kevin. May was predeceased by her brothers William, Robert and Kenneth.
