Suddenly at Hamilton General Hospital on Monday December 13, 2004. Allan James Mainprize at 2 years of age. Beloved son of Krista-Lee Mainprize & Jason Striker. Dear brother of Elizabeth and Autumn. Loving grandson of Mary-Ann Mainprize & Scott Wright, and Donna Norman. Predeceased by his grandfather Allan Mainprize. Great grandson of Don & Mona Adcock, and Jack Bould. Dear nephew of Kimberly, Kaitlynn & Jesse. Sadly missed by his extended family. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME LTD., 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Friday December 17th at 2:30 p.m. In lieu flowers, the family have requested teddy bears or toys be brought in and will be donated to needy children. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.

MILLER, Roy
passed away peacefully at his home on December 13th, 2004. In his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Pearl (2002). Dear father of Ronald (Veronika). Sadly missed by his sister-in-law Ida and husband Ken (predeceased) and their children Kristine and Barry and their families. In Roy's memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital would be appreciated.

RAVEY, Laurette
At home in Newcastle, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, December 13, 2004, in her 80th year. Loving wife of John for 62 years. Devoted mother of Jane and her husband Dave McCabe of Toronto, Shirley Stewart of Newcastle, Marc Ravey of Port Hope, Linda and her husband Fred Trotman of Newcastle, and the late Carol Hollingworth. Loving Nana to John, Glen, Jennifer, Scott, Craig, Derek, Brian, Michael, Amanda, and Shannon. Great-grandmother of Michael, Chelsea, Leif, Cory, Ashley, and Dylan. Sister of Cecile and the late Sylvio. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. WEEKS, Norman Leslie
passed away after a brief battle with cancer at Ajax Pickering Hospital on Monday December 13, 2004. Norman Weeks at the age of 67. Dear father of Heather (Larry) Liscum, Paul (Anna) Weeks, Chris (Art) Campbell, Linda (Rick) Michaud, Bill (Linda) Weeks, and Janice Weeks. Lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and by his great grandchild. Sadly missed by his brother Robert (Shirley) Weeks, and by his niece & nephew. Member of the Canadian Corps and the Naval Veteran s Club. Retired General Motors Employee. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday December 16, 2004 at 4 p.m. Cremation. Dearly missed by his grandchildren Nicole, Dylan, Kristine Webster; Rebecca and Alyssa Thackray; Lucas and Kaitlyn Delaney. Lovingly remembered by brothers Jack (Donna) Wiskin of Oshawa and Ken (Barbara) Jones of Vancouver. Predeceased by both parents and brother George Wiskin. Missed by many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Lieselotte, his sister Martha, his son Wolf and Doran and daughter Rose. Proud Opa of Adam, Colleen, Warren and Derek, who will miss him sadly. Loving mother of Ronald and his wife Ruth, of Prince Albert, the late Marvin and his wife Betty of Orono, Marilyn Long and her husband Donald of Oshawa, and Edward of Oshawa. Sister of Marjorie Davidson and her husband Victor, of Peterborough. Bernice leaves behind 14 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. Resting at The ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday December 15th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. VILNEFF, Erin Kathleen
At her residence, on Sunday December 12th, 2004, at the age of 44. Erin will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her spouse and best friend Gregg Scovell of Oshawa, her children Kevin Vilneff, and Tait Vilneff, her step children Adam Scovell (Karen) and Melanie Scovell all of Oshawa, her parents Loriee Tait and Robert (predeceased) of Marmora, her brother Sean Nugent of Toronto, her sisters Jacqueline Simpson (Barry) of Baltimore, On., Bobbie Jo Tait of Marmora, Shannon Nugent of Toronto, her granddaughter Madison, her nieces and nephews Terri (Sterling), Ryan, Danny, Jackie, Jeff and her great nephew Alexander. Daughter in law of Gordon and Helen Scovell, and sister in law of Ann Wiltse (Randy) and Jeanette Scovell. Erin was a long time employee and den mother of her second family, Taxi Taxi, Oshawa. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday December 15th, 2004, at 1p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. THACKERAY, John Allan
passed away at his residence in Little Britain, on Sunday, December 12, 2004, in his 53rd year. Son of Allan and the late Ada Thackeray. Brother of the late Lynda Wilson. Survived by his brother-in-law Ron Wilson and his niece Dawn DellaValle. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. McCOLLOM, Marvin
1925-2004 Veteran of World War II, passed away peacefully at home , in his 80th year. Survived by his brother Clarence McCollom of Sundridge, Ontario. Loving father of his 6 children Linda, Gary, Gordon, Murray, Daniel, Tammy. Fondly remembered by 15 grandchildren. Longtime friend to Bill and Donna Parker. The Funeral Service took place at The ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, in the Chapel on Tuesday December 14th at 1:00 p.m. Visitation 12:00 p.m. until time of service. MEINDL, Kathleen Marie
On Saturday, December 11, 2004 at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, at age 93. Kay (nee Reid) of Port Perry, beloved wife of the late Lt. Col. Retired John "Jack" Meindl. Loved sister of Helen Mathieson, and dear aunt of Robert Brian Mathieson both of Port Perry. Private arrangements have been entrusted to the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171). Interment Listowel Cemetery in the Spring. GIRLING, Rita Jeanne
Peacefully, on Friday, December 10, 2004, at the West Shore Retirement Village in Port Perry, with her family at her side, at age 79. Rita (nee Barrette), beloved companion of the late Bruno Lupien of North Bay. Loved sister of Isabelle, Andre, Reina, and the late Eduard, Frederick, Hector, Marion, Anne, and Robert. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, especially Diane, June and Jackie. The family of Rita Girling will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Sunday, December 12th from 2-4 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, December 13th at 10 a.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating. KING, Theodore Ted
(Veteran WWII, Royal Canadian Navy, served aboard the frigate H.M.C.S. Annan in the North Atlantic; first operator for 44 years at Ontario Hydro). Peacefully in his sleep at Foster brooke Long Term Care Facility on Friday, December 10, 2004, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Rebecca King. Loved and devoted father of Barb King and her husband Rick Hurvid, and Paul King and his wife Odette. Loving Grandpa of Owen and Ian. Ted will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. FRASER, Bradley
His life was violently ended at the young age of 18, on Friday, December 10, 2004, in Oshawa. Beloved son of Liesa Fraser and stepson of Paul Willis. Beloved twin brother of Ashley and younger brother Shawn. Brad will also be greatly missed by his Nan Loretta. Dear nephew of Cindy and Mike Wood, Tammy and Allan Chamberlain, Shawn, Carrie, Lindsey. Dear close cousin of Natasha, Cody and Kyle. Predeceased by his grandfather Bill and great-grandmother Hazel. He will also be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.
