MAHAFFY, Lloyd Melville
After a short illness, on Friday, February 25, 2005, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa, at age 76. Lloyd Mahaffy of Raglan, beloved husband of Audrey (nee Manns). Loved father of Gordon Mahaffy and his wife Carolyn of Scugog Island, Wayne Mahaffy and his wife Linda of Oakwood, William Mahaffy and his wife Lynda of Manilla, Sharon and her husband Gilles Bertrand of Port Perry, and Shelley and her husband Adam Newman of Oshawa. Loving grandfather of Dianne, Linda, Adam, Natalie, Kyle, Natalie, Ashley, Chris and Alicia, and great grandfather of Miles, Owen, Travis and Farren. Predeceased by his brothers Harvey, George and Everett. The family of Lloyd Mahaffy will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Sunday, February 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, February 28th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Fred Jackson officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation.

MALLYON, Frank
passed away peacefully at Ballycliffe Lodge in Ajax on Friday February 25, 2005. Frank in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Doris. He will be truly missed by his daughters Joan and her husband Cliff Douthwright and Linda and her husband Al Tutchener. Cherished grandfather of Leslie, Tracey, Diane, Christine, Theresa, Sheila and his 8 great grandchildren. Frank is survived by his brothers Jack and Roy and his sisters Jessie and Joan. June(nee Crowe), beloved wife of the late Cecil Rampton. Dearly loved mother of Susan and her husband David Crowe of Port Perry, and Alice Adair of Whitby. Loving grandmother of BreeCrowe, Michael Adair and Christopher Adair. Dear sister of Mary and her husband Fred Bevan of Whitby. She will also be sadly missed by the children and grandchildren of David Crowe. Lovingly remembered by her 23 grandchildren and her many great grandchildren. Dear sister of Winnie Cook and her husband Ray, Eleanor Tureck and her husband John and John McGillvary and his wife Shirley. Predeceased by her sister Elva and her brothers Foster , Gerald and Donald. She will be fondly remembered by her great niece Katie and her many nieces, nephews and friends. AASEN, Mary Getrude Gertie
(70 year member of Catholic Womens League; 40 year member of the Daughters of Isabella; avid hockey fan and euchre player) Gertie, (nee MacDonald), of Oshawa, formerly of Hastings, Ontario, passed away on Febuary 24, 2005, after a short courageous battle with cancer, with Father Edwin and her family at her side, at ThorntonView Long Term Care Facility. Gertie will be sadly missed by the many friends that were part of her well-lived 95 years. Gertie was born in Bear River, Prince Edward Island, on November 10, 1909. Gertie was predeceased by her husband Gunnar, in September 1978. They had been married for 36 years. Gertie is survived by her brother Peter McDonald and his wife Annie, children, Eric and his wife Pat, Wayne and his wife Louise, Judy and her husband Mario Panylo. Also loved by her grandchildren Keri and her partner Patrick, Peter and his girlfriend Kristin, Melanie, Amanda, Richard, Angela and her husband Darryl Rancourt, Stephen, Christopher and his wife Erinn, Meredith and her boyfriend Dean, Shailene and Matthew. Gertie also enjoyed her great-grandchildren Caelan and Calleigh. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews in Prince Edward Island. Gertie had numerous friends from the Marion Place where she resided, the Seniors Club in Brooklin and Hastings and her parishes where she attended church. Please remember Gertie as a healthy woman, full of zest for life, loved to dance that Down East Music any where any time and a good friend to all she knew. Gertie is resting at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558). Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. Entered into rest on Thursday February 24th, 2005, in her 91st year. Loving wife of the late Roy Stanley Martin for 60 years. Much loved and loving mother of Fred (Betty) Martin of Perth, Nancy (Jack) Swain of Waterdown, Ont, and Joyce (Dennis) Harvey of Port Hope. Cherished grandmother of Gary Swain, and Maria (Swain) and her husband Corey MacKenzie. Proud great grandmother of Hailey MacKenzie. Survived by her brothers; Cecil (June) Yeo of Bowmanville, Roy (Marion) Yeo of Elliot Lake and by her sister Ruby Pogue of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. Predeceased by her son David Stanley Martin, her infant daughter, her parents Tom and Flora Yeo and her brothers Norm, Ray, Don and Art. Eva was always cheerful and made the best of every given situation, always finding something to be thankful for. Eva was always the first person there to help anyone in need. She was a lifetime resident of Oshawa. va will be sadly missed by all who knew her and will remain in our hearts forever.
