HURRIE, Janice Ann (nee Preston)
Suddenly after a brief illness on Thursday April 14, 2005 at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 53. Janice, beloved wife of the late Bill Hurrie. Loving mother of Tara and her fiancée of Matt Windrem. Loved daughter of Hazel Preston and the late Allan Preston. Dear sister of Jim and friend Beryl, Sherry, and her husband Ron McGinnis. Dear aunt of Kelly, Amanda and Sabrina. Janice will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loved family and dear friends. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, on Saturday April 16th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday April 17th at 2pm. Cremation. Memorial Donations to either the Durham Lung Association or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by Janice’s family.

McLEOD, Albert (Big Al)
Unexpectedly on March 14, 2005, cherished and loving husband to Dagmar. Loving father to Darlene (Ron), Gary (Susan), Bob (Olga), Ron (predeceased). Loving Grandfather to Terry (Julie), Barry, Brian (Donna), Dave (Jan), Colleen, Sherry, Charlene. Great Grandfather to Michael, Matthew, Sara, Cody, Corbin, Nicole, Ryan and Jade. Sadly missed by all his dear friends and Pub Buddies. The family wishes to thank the Ajax/Pickering Hospital for all their help and support. Loving father of Kim Wilce of Brampton, and Tracey and her husband Bill Graham of Manila. Loved grandfather of Shannon, Jenn, Amy, and Todd. Dear brother of Howard Wilce and his wife Ivy of Barry, and Betty and her husband Don Stephenson of Sarnia. The family of Gary Wilce will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Saturday, April 16th from 10-11 a.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Michelle Hofman officiating. Private Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society.

BROWN, William James
passed away peacefully, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, on Wednesday, April 13, 2005. He will be sadly missed by his daughters Sheila, and Cathie and her husband Steve and their son Shayne. passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 13, 2005 at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa, at the age of 66. Dearly missed by soul-mate and partner, Patricia Ann Coe. Great-grandfather of Fallen, Terrel and Haily. Predeceased by his parents Doris and Lorne Garrow. Lovingly remembered by his aunts Marion Garrow and Margaret Lownie. Survived by sisters Bev Garrow and Arlene Schumacher and her husband Bill. Also fondly remembered by boating friends at Lagoon City. HARMER, Paul Stanley
Sadly passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 after a long battle with cancer at Sunnybrook Hospital at age 58. Paul, much beloved husband of Kate. Dear father of Paula Harmer and her husband Doug Lies and Kevin and his wife Ann. Proud grandfather of Jessica and Joshua. Survived by his brothers Neil (Angie), Phillip (Vicki) and Steve (Dee). Funeral Service to be held at the Uxbridge Baptist Church (231 Brock Street West) on Monday at 11 a.m. In Paul's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or War Amps.

Dear mother of Bill (Pattie) Mitchell of Beaverton and Anita (Grant) Nixon of Brechin. Grandmother of Chantel, Jaimie, Brent, Patrick, Jeremy, and great-grandmother of Jared and Megan. Sister of Lorraine (Ducky) (Ted) Westlake of Beaverton. Funeral service will be held at Beaverton Presbyterian Church, Beaverton on Monday at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Beaverton Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Lions Foundation of Canada Walk for Dog Guides would be appreciated by the family.

TIERNEY, Rolande Emma Beauchemi
(December 30, 1914 - April 13, 2005) In her 91st year, mother of Claire Tierney Knapp and Janice Tierney Dunk (Brian), predeceased by Bernard Tierney, Rolande died at St. Michael's Hospital early Wednesday morning , April 13 of a stroke suffered the previous day. Rolande was born in Montreal but moved to Oshawa where she resided from 1936 - 1972. She was a member of St. Gregory 's Parish as well as active in the French community in Oshawa. Her "joie de vivre" will always be remembered by her six grandchildren (Lise, Michael, Eric, Ren e, Nadine and Michelle ) and her four great-grandchildren (Liam, Amelia, Camille and Sophie). Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 16 at Paroisse Sacre Coeur in Toronto. Donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or the Arthritis Society of Canada are appreciated.

Dear father of Tim (Nancy) of Pickering, Sue (Craig) Adlam of Holland Landing, David Charles of Pickering and stepfather of Lynne (Garry) Penrice of Sharon and Kim (Peter) Burk of Lochlin. Grandfather of Craig Jr., Stephen, Amanda, Cory, Lisa and great-grandfather of Synthia and William. Survived by his former wife Joyce Walk. A celebration of life service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 583 Osborne Street (Durham Regional Road 23) Beaverton on Saturday at 1 p.m. The family would appreciate memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

RAZEY, Alan
At home in Colborne on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in his 47th year. Alan, loving husband of Jannine and loving daddy of Alyssa and Taylor. Loving son of John and Pam Razey. Loving brother of Jennifer and David and families and the late Colin. Remembered by uncle Don and aunt Jeannie and family. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews and relatives in England and Ireland. Alan leaves behind many friends. Born November 8, 1956, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Tuesday April 12, 2005. Most importantly she was mother to Jason Fayant and wife to Robert Robinson. Her love for others was too much for her brittle heart.
