Peacefully with family by his side at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Monday, April 11, 2005 in his 84th year. Dearly beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Fancy). Loving father of David and his wife Susan, Neil and his wife Marcey Dveris, and John and his wife Annastasia. Brother of Margaret-Ellen (Wylie) Verge, Catherine (Gordon) Hart, and Elizabeth (Vincent) Lambie. Dear son of the late Dr. Hugh and Alice MacKinnon. Grandpa will be sadly missed by his grandsons Ian and Alexander, and his granddaughter Allison. NICHOLS, Albert James 'Jim'
(Retired from General Motors of Canada with 37 years service) Peacefully, at Carriage House Retirement Residence, Oshawa on Sunday April 10, 2005, at the age of 71. Born in Oshawa on January 6, 1934, Jim was the son of the late James and Mary Nichols. He is survived by five sisters: Irene Aldsworth of Courtice, Florence Cory of Oshawa, Connie McKinnon of Perth, Beverly Wallis and Sandra Stewart, both of Oshawa; and three brothers: Maxwell Nichols of Toronto, Robert and Art Nichols both of Oshawa. He was predeceased by five brothers: Bert, Bill, Percy, Ted and Herb Nichols; and four sisters: Ada Young, Grace Bowler, May McColl and Ruth Leslie. Companion of 27 years to the late Bonnie Trafton. Best friend to Margie and her husband Louie Landry and their children, Kayla, Nicole and Patrick. Relatives and friends will be received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Peacefully, on Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the Strathaven Nursing Home in Bowmanville, one week before her 97th birthday. Gwen (nee Ettey), beloved wife of the late Fred Lamb. Loved mother of Bill Lamb and his wife Margaret Ann of Manchester, Ted Lamb and his wife Irene of Manchester, and Muriel and her husband David Kuhn of Perth Road. Gwen will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren and her eleven great-grandchildren. Daniel John Martin, in his 21st year, was the beloved son of Corrine and Murray Rouse of Sunderland and Daniel and Joanne Martin of Burlington. Loving boyfriend of Jen Van Holten. Dear brother of Kevin Martin, Jake, Josh, Jed, Jayden and Taneeka Rouse. Predeceased by one brother Christopher Martin. Loving grandson of Ed and Vere Martin, Amiel and Desneiges Bekkers, David and Sara Seymour, Gerry Rouse, Jennie and John Cave, Archie Viney and the late Lena Viney. Dearly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joy s zest for life will be greatly missed by her many family and friends. 1921 - 2005). passed away peacefully at Thornton View Long Term Care on April 8, 2005. W.W. 11 veteran with the British Territorial Army. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Martin. Predeceased by parents Ben and Ethel Evans and brother Trevor. Born in South Wales and immigrated to Canada in 1966. Will be sadly missed by daughters Wendy (Peter) Fleming and Susan (Geoff) Burton, sister Eileen (Gary) Brooks, grandchildren Glen (Jenny) Gardner, Debbie (Vince) Tzambazis, Sarah Smallbrook (nee Fleming) and Michael Fleming, Great-grandchildren Samantha and Kevin Tzambazis, Logan, Mason and Ethan Gardner. STANGER, Joan Dorothy
Peacefully, at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Joan passed away from the arms of her family to the waiting arms of her Lord on Friday, April 8th, 2005. This ended a valiant year-long battle with leukemia. Joan's warm smile will be sadly missed by her husband Rodger, her mom and dad, Bill and Julia Lines, sister Barbara and her husband Bruce Broadbent, sister Brenda Baggley, sister Linda and her husband Lewis Poulin, sister Carol Lines, her many nieces and nephews, and her many friends and colleagues at CML Health Care. A Funeral Service will be held at Forest Brook Community Church (1999 Fairport Road at Finch Avenue in Pickering) on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Her husband and family wish to thank the staff of Princess Margaret Hospital - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit for the care, support and many kindnesses that they showed to Joan over the past year, and the doctors and nurses of the Leukemia Ward for the outstanding care and compassion they demonstrated this past week.
