Peacefully with family by his side at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Monday, April 11, 2005 in his 84th year. Dearly beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Fancy). Loving father of David and his wife Susan, Neil and his wife Marcey Dveris, and John and his wife Annastasia. Brother of Margaret-Ellen (Wylie) Verge, Catherine (Gordon) Hart, and Elizabeth (Vincent) Lambie. Dear son of the late Dr. Hugh and Alice MacKinnon. Grandpa will be sadly missed by his grandsons Ian and Alexander, and his granddaughter Allison. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE “Thornton Chapel”, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Wednesday, April 13 from 2–4 PM and 7–9 PM. Peacefully at his home in Oshawa on Sunday, April 10th, 2005 in his 65th year after a battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Mardeen (nee Cousins). Loving father of: Robert (Holly), Oshawa and Jennifer Madgett (Brent), Port Hope. "Poppy" will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Joshua Charbonneau, Daniel Davis, Jordan, Rachel & Alex Madgett and Ashley & Sarah Gunter. Dear brother of: Frances Martin, Selby & Norman Davis, Toronto. Predeceased by his sisters: Cora Martin, Annie Worrell, Susan Jeffrey & Laura Switzer and his brothers: Stanley, Dick & William. NICHOLS, Albert James 'Jim'
(Retired from General Motors of Canada with 37 years service) Peacefully, at Carriage House Retirement Residence, Oshawa on Sunday April 10, 2005, at the age of 71. Born in Oshawa on January 6, 1934, Jim was the son of the late James and Mary Nichols. He is survived by five sisters: Irene Aldsworth of Courtice, Florence Cory of Oshawa, Connie McKinnon of Perth, Beverly Wallis and Sandra Stewart, both of Oshawa; and three brothers: Maxwell Nichols of Toronto, Robert and Art Nichols both of Oshawa. He was predeceased by five brothers: Bert, Bill, Percy, Ted and Herb Nichols; and four sisters: Ada Young, Grace Bowler, May McColl and Ruth Leslie. Companion of 27 years to the late Bonnie Trafton. Best friend to Margie and her husband Louie Landry and their children, Kayla, Nicole and Patrick. Relatives and friends will be received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Suddenly in Oshawa on Sunday, April 10th 2005, in his 44th year. Beloved father of Maxwell and Jordon. Loving son of Ed and Helen. Dear brother of Jocelyne and her husband Claude, Denis and his wife Lisa, Julie and her partner Mark. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephew, business associates and friends. Peacefully following a long courageous fight with cancer on Saturday April 9, 2005 surrounded by his family at home at the age of 30. Jason, beloved soul mate of Jackie LeClerc. Loved father of Brittany and Rebecca. Cherished son of Bruno and Darlene Gauweiler of Caesarea, and Cathy and Gord Andress of Lindsay. Loving brother of Dee Dee Gauweiler and dear uncle of Rowena. Jason will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by if loved family and many cherished friends. LAMB, Gwendoline Margaret
Peacefully, on Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the Strathaven Nursing Home in Bowmanville, one week before her 97th birthday. Gwen (nee Ettey), beloved wife of the late Fred Lamb. Loved mother of Bill Lamb and his wife Margaret Ann of Manchester, Ted Lamb and his wife Irene of Manchester, and Muriel and her husband David Kuhn of Perth Road. Gwen will be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren and her eleven great-grandchildren. The family of Gwen Lamb will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171), on Monday, April 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, April 12th at 1 p.m. with Reverend Ross Carson officiating. MARTIN, Daniel
Entered into rest suddenly as the result of an auto accident on Saturday, April 9th, 2005. Daniel John Martin, in his 21st year, was the beloved son of Corrine and Murray Rouse of Sunderland and Daniel and Joanne Martin of Burlington. Loving boyfriend of Jen Van Holten. Dear brother of Kevin Martin, Jake, Josh, Jed, Jayden and Taneeka Rouse. Predeceased by one brother Christopher Martin. Loving grandson of Ed and Vere Martin, Amiel and Desneiges Bekkers, David and Sara Seymour, Gerry Rouse, Jennie and John Cave, Archie Viney and the late Lena Viney. Dearly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Service will be held from Sunderland United Church on Thursday, April 14th, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. As a remembrance, donations to the Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

At the age of 66 years. Beloved wife of Ed Tripp for 49 years. Dear sister to Barbara Peebles & Andrew Torrance (Wendy). Lovingly remembered by many grandchildren & great grandchildren. Oshawa on Friday April 8, 2005 in her 75th year, surrounded by “Us Four Kids”, Penny Balfe, Janet McGarry, Ian Bickle, Tom Bickle and his wife Jill, Greatly loved by Maurice and Chalui Bickle and Carol and Ron Bickle and her Grandchildren Matthew and fiancé Kelly, Meghan, Taylor, Jessica, Alex, Allie, Ben, Erica, and Kyle. Joy’s zest for life will be greatly missed by her many family and friends. (Retired employee of the Brewers Retail, and Past President of the Rouge Hill Seniors Club) Passed away peacefully at the Ajax Pickering Health Centre on Friday April 8, 2005 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Hilligje (Willy). Loving father of Linda and her husband Ken Harding and James. Grandfather to Russell James. MARTIN, Edwina (nee Evans)
1921 - 2005). Passed away peacefully at Thornton View Long Term Care on April 8, 2005. W.W. 11 veteran with the British Territorial Army. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Martin. Predeceased by parents Ben and Ethel Evans and brother Trevor. Born in South Wales and immigrated to Canada in 1966. Will be sadly missed by daughters Wendy (Peter) Fleming and Susan (Geoff) Burton, sister Eileen (Gary) Brooks, grandchildren Glen (Jenny) Gardner, Debbie (Vince) Tzambazis, Sarah Smallbrook (nee Fleming) and Michael Fleming, Great-grandchildren Samantha and Kevin Tzambazis, Logan, Mason and Ethan Gardner. SAMELKO, Nancy Lynn
Passed away peacefully, at home, on Friday, April 8, 2005, at the age of 47. Loving wife to Rick. Loving mother of Rob, Ashleigh, and Alex. Daughter of Dorothy. Sister of Julie and Greg. S he will be missed by her family and her great circle of friends. STANGER, Joan Dorothy
Peacefully, at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Joan passed away from the arms of her family to the waiting arms of her Lord on Friday, April 8th, 2005. This ended a valiant year-long battle with leukemia. Joan's warm smile will be sadly missed by her husband Rodger, her mom and dad, Bill and Julia Lines, sister Barbara and her husband Bruce Broadbent, sister Brenda Baggley, sister Linda and her husband Lewis Poulin, sister Carol Lines, her many nieces and nephews, and her many friends and colleagues at CML Health Care. A Funeral Service will be held at Forest Brook Community Church (1999 Fairport Road at Finch Avenue in Pickering) on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Her husband and family wish to thank the staff of Princess Margaret Hospital - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit for the care, support and many kindnesses that they showed to Joan over the past year, and the doctors and nurses of the Leukemia Ward for the outstanding care and compassion they demonstrated this past week.

Cherished brother of the late Willis Bain (Cathy), the late Byron Bain (Susan), Mervyn Bain (Leslie), Sheila Burke (Gary), Sharon Halladay (Clint), Roger Bain (Brenda), Ernie Bain (Cathy) and Tim Bain (Lila). Fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Ken Way (Janet) and predeceased by his father-in-law F. James Way (Lucy). Ivan was a “father like” uncle to his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and will be missed by all. INGRAM, James Alexander
Passed away peacefully at home encircled by family on April 7, 2005 in his 80th year. Loving husband of Pat, cherished father of Anne, devoted grandfather of Sarah and Darren. Survived by sister Helen, Scotland. Lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews and Ligaya Byrch. Predeceased by brother David. Member of Doric Lodge AMFM. Retiree of Consumer's Gas Company. Cremation has occurred. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at St. Timothy's Presbyterian Church, 97 Burcher Rd., Ajax on Sunday April 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to St. Timothy's Presbyterian Church or the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the St. Elizabeth nurses for their care, kindness and support.
