NICKERSON, Aubrey Delano
Peacefully following a lengthy illness and surrounded by his wife and children at Lakeridge Health-Whitby on Monday, April 4th, 2005. Aubrey Nickerson, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Clemence). Dear father of Sherry and her husband Morgan Lane of Oshawa, Darrell and his wife Mary of Oshawa, Dwayne and his wife Helen of Oshawa and Brent and his wife Debby of Lindsay. Lovingly remembered by his ten grandchildren. Dear brother of Kay Larkin, Sylvia Nickerson, Mae Larkin, Sherry Sears and Trudy Smith all of Nova Scotia, Clayton Nickerson of Mississauga and Anthony Nickerson of Hastings. Predeceased by his parents Aubrey and Flossie, sister Jennifer and brother Darrell, all of Nova Scotia. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE Thornton Chapel 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Thursday, April 7th from 2 4 and 7 9 P.M. SINGERLING, Dirk Jan (Dick)
(Longtime resident of Yellowknife NWT and 28 year employee of Northwest Tel) After a brief battle with Cancer, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa with his family by his side, on Monday April 4, 2005. Dick Singerling at 53 years of age. Loving father of Aaron and Jennifer and her spouse Louie McKenzie. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Thomas and Nyssa. Dear son of Dirk and Corry Singerling. Brother of Robert, Niels, Harold and his wife Janet and Renee and her husband Rick. He will be fondly remembered by his nephews Michael, Matthew, Gregory, Jeremy and Steven, by his extended family and his friends in Yellowknife, NWT. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the chapel on Saturday April 9 at 11 a.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. KENNELLY, John Leo
(Formerly of Whitby and Centreville, ON) (Member of the Whitby Legion Branch #112, Member of the Knights of Columbus Third Degree, St. Leo's Council #11528, Brooklin, Fourth Degree, Father Leo J. Austin Assembly #2287, Whitby, and was a very active volunteer in the Town of Whitby.) Suddenly at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario on Sunday April 3, 2005 in his 66th year. Leo, beloved husband of Rita (Lynch). Dear stepfather of Diane Hayes of New Orleans, Linda (Paul) Rankin of Brooklin, Michael (Tami) Lynch of St. Thomas. Fondly remembered by his brother Donald (Margaret) Kennelly of Lindsay, ON, and by his nephews Bernard, Raymond, Michael, and Patrick Kelly and their families, by his sisters-in-law Mary Ellen (Alex) Muir of Oshawa, Aileen (Don) Smith of Campbellford, Kathryn (John) Hamilton of Colborne, and their families. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Kennelly, his brother Michael, and his sister Bernadette Kelly. Mass of the Christian burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby, on Wednesday April 6, 2005 at 10 a.m. In memoriam, donations may be made to Holy Angels Parish Building Fund, St. Thomas, ON or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

DeNOBREGA, Olive Ernestine
On Sunday, April 3, 2005, at 6:30 p.m., Olive Ernestine DeNobrega passed away peacefully at her home in Whitby, surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her 10 children, 24 grandchildren, and her 42 great-grandchildren. We love you always. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS DE SALES CHURCH, 82 Church St. S., Pickering on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby.

JOHNSON, Harry
At home on Sunday April 3rd, 2005, in his 70th year. Dear best friend and companion of Bunny Bowers. Fondly missed by his children Roy (Sandy), Cathy (Randy), Ron (Carol), Ruth (Rod), Jim (Kerry), and by their mother Lorraine Tops. Dear grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Harry will be sadly missed by his family and friends. MCWHIRTER, Joyce (nee Stinson)
Suddenly, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday April 3, 2005. Predeceased by her parents Howard and Hilda Stinson. Beloved wife of John McWhirter. Loving mother of Debra (Dave), Randy (Tobi), Penny (Dave), and Wayne (Deb). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Dale, Amanda, Darryl, John, Matt, Ashlea, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Mackenzie, and Ian. Dear sister of Shirley and the late Joan. Dearly missed by her daughter-in-law Chris. Joyce will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews as well as many extended family and friends. SCOTT, Lawrence Ben
(Retired Chief Gardener from General Motors North Plant in 1985 after 35 years of service) passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Sunday April 3, 2005 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Muriel Scott. Loving father of Ronald B. Scott of Oshawa, Cheryl B. Scott of Courtice, and Douglas J. Scott & Susi of Whitby. Dear brother of the late John Scott, Selina Adams of West Guilford, Evelyn Stata of Haliburton, and Archie Scott & Vi of Minden. Dad was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with visitation on Tuesday April 5, 2005 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A complete funeral service will be held in the Minden Chapel of GORDON A. After a 4 year battle with cancer, Karl is now cruising the streets of Heaven on his Harley Davidson, Ultra Classic. Beloved husband of Dorothy. Dear father of Steven. Loving son of Emilie and the late Karl Rudolph Walz. Dear brother of Siegfried Walter Walz, Karen Walz and her partner Demus Willis, predeceased by his brother Jurgen Walz. Step-father of Gary Carriere, Danielle Carriere and her fianc Ronald Sharpe. Loving grandfather of Brandon, Kyle and Decoda. Dear uncle to Michael WaIz. Dear son-in-law of Ben and Elvina Price , Shirley and Bernie Soldan and Ben Price Jr. Visitation will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N., Bowmanville (905-623-5668) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 5th, 2005.
