Peacefully, at Extendicare Nursing Home, on Tuesday, September 6, 2005. Lillian (nee Larsson), beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Malcolm Morrison. Loving mother of William and his wife Janice of Oshawa, Richard Morrison of B.C., James and his wife Marlene, Peter and his late wife Laurie, Jill and her husband Donald Powell, all of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Melissa and her husband Mike Watson, Jamie, Andrew, Caitlin, John and Nathan Morrison, and April and Taylor Powell. PAYNE, Jean Victoria
Passed away suddenly at Lakeridge Hospital, on Tuesday September 6th, 2005 in her 76th year. Jean Duff, beloved wife of Murray Payne for 55 years. Cherished mother of Garfield (Iva), Jennifer (Ivan), Lance (Martine), Shelley and the late Rodney. She will be missed by 7 grandchildren. Former schoolteacher with a lifelong interest in civic issues and environmental conservation. Service will be held at the Welcome United Church on Friday September 9th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Jean V. & Rodney C. Payne Memorial Fund, c/o the Toronto Community Foundation, 33 Bloor St. E., Suite 1603, Toronto, ON. N4W 3H1 or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

BEVERLEY, Isabella (Wharton)
Born March 24, 1905 at Chorley, Lancashire, England. Died peacefully resting in the arms of Jesus on September 5, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Beverley. Bella was the loving mother of June Troy (Bill - deceased) and Al Beverley (Wendy). She was also the devoted and loving grandmother of Jim (Wendy), Gord (Deb), Jeff (Melinda), Chrissie (Fred), John - deceased (Emma), Lisa - deceased and Sheri (Frank). She will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren Victoria (Joey), Jamye, Matthew, Jordan, Bill (Kerri), Jason (Sheila), Cara (Craig), Bretta (Brian), Leigh (Shannon), David, Jennifer (Mike), Mike (Whitney), Sarah, Aaron and her great-great-grandchildren Leah, Dayle, Allana and Declan. She was predeceased by her sisters Chrissie, Violet, Flora, and her brother Hugh. Bella will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews, friends and church family. A Funeral Service to celebrate Bella's life will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from Durham Full Gospel Church, 419 Brock St. N., Whitby, visitation 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations to World Vision Canada, 1 World Drive, Mississauga ON L5T 2Y4, would be appreciated.

HARVEY, Mollie
After a courageous battle with cancer at Lakeridge Health Whitby on Monday September 5, 2005 at age 84. Loving mother to Brian (Fay), Frances, Gerri and Michael. Nan to Ann, Mike and Gillian. Special Grandma to Sophie and Grace. Dear friend of Chris and Jean. Sadly missed by family in Northern Ireland, England and New Zealand. Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday September 5, 2005. Helen in her 68th year. Beloved wife of Bill. Cherished mother of Stuart and Niall & his wife Vicky. She will be truly missed by her grandsons Christopher and Evan. Dear sister of Margaret & her husband Archie Whitehead from Scotland. Loving aunt to Archie, Stephen, and Paul. Special thanks to Archie & Stephen for journeying from Scotland to be with her in the final days. In keeping with Helen’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. BEAN, Kathleen (nee Morrison)
After a lengthy illness, at Fairview Lodge, Whitby, with her daughter at her side, on September 4, 2005, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Edward "Ted" (2004), loved mother to Jo Ann Wrobel (John) of Whitby; cherished grandmother to Brittany and Tracy; dear sister to Betty Paye, Margaret Dyment, and John D. Morrison (Irene). Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Eva Morrison and her son John "Ted" (1987). Contributions to the Alzheimer Society or the CNIB would be appreciated.

EDMUND, Edward Joseph
Peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 4, 2005 in his 65th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Corinne, loving father of Erin. Dear brother of Joan and her husband Joe Lawlor, Patti and her husband Paul Barton. Uncle of Tim, Sean, Kevin and Maureen Lawlor, Antony, Jonn, Darren Barton and Chantal Clement, son-in-law of Dorothy Clement and brother-in-law of Sue and the late Don Clement. Peacefully on Sunday, September 4th, 2005 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa, at age 78. Kindness and dignity was her trademark. Always fiercely independent, she maintained her enthusiasm for life and her sense of humour to the end. Reta (nee Robertson) of Port Perry, beloved wife of the late Lawrence Glasgow. Loving mother of Alan (Tracey) of Sarnia, and Dennis (Renate) of Toronto, and grandmother of Jennifer, Margaret, and Stephen Glasgow. Dear sister of Eva and her husband Grant Hunter of Port Perry, and the late MacAdam "Mac" Robertson of Havelock. Loving aunt of Beth Willes, John Hunter, Linda Hunter, Susan Hunter, Sonya Carter, Marie Johnston, and Marilyn Coughlin. She will also be missed by nieces and nephews in the United Kingdom, Spain, and Australia, as well as her many dear friends at West Shore Village who made this past summer so wonderful. Benjamin Frith of Toronto, loving son of Tony and Beth Frith of West Guilford and formerly of Prince Albert. Loved brother of Matthew Frith of Port Perry. Dear grandson of Bertha and Bill Frith (deceased) of Holland Landing, Janet and Ed McGrath of West Guilford, and John Murray (deceased) of Sharon and Yvonne Weir of Bradford. He will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. (Retired secretary with Sir Sandford Fleming College, friend to many at Activity Haven and former volunteer with the Volunteer and Information Bureau) - Peacefully after a lengthy illness at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Rogers St. Site, Palliative Care Unit on September 3, 2005 in her 79th year. Loving wife of Vern of 52 years. Cherished and caring mother of Sandra and her husband Bill Simmons of Peterborough, Mike of Lakefield, Angela of Ottawa and Chris and his wife Mary Jane of Peterborough. Dear Grandma of Abby and her husband Martin Piche and Kelly; Jorden; Nicholas and Alex; and Matt. She will be missed forever by her two great grandchildren Megan and Paige. MARTIN, Louise (nee Jesson)
Passed away peacefully, at the Altamont Nursing Home, on September 3, 2005, at the age of 78. Loving wife of the late Thomas Martin. Dear mother of Murray, Brenda and her fiancé Victor Roberts, James and Christopher. Loving grandmother of six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. SMALE, Frederick Lionel Leslie Les
January 7, 1912 September 3, 2005 It is with sad regrets the family of Les Smale announce his passing on September 3, 2005 at the age of 93, at Lakeridge Hospital, Bowmanville. He was predeceased by his first wife Pearl Holland, and his second wife, Rhoda Davies. He leaves his daughter Mary Anne and husband Maurice Richards, sons Hugh and wife, Marlene Smale, Bill Smale, Dennis and wife, Sue Smale, and also his extended family. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Linda and Phillip Glaze, Brett Richards, Duane and Jennifer Dorfman, Shane and Pepper Dorfman, Andrew Smale, Erik Smale and many great grandchildren.
