Peacefully, on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the Community Nursing Home in PortPerry, at age 78. Marion (nee Phayre), beloved wife of Ronald Ginn of Manchester. Loved mother of Richard Ginn of Manchester and Ann-Marie Ginn of Kingsville. Dear sister of Roy Phayre (deceased), and Noel Phayre and his wife Barb of Greenbank. The family of Marion Ginn will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, ''McDermott-Panabaker Chapel'', 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, February 24th from 12 noon - 1 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Blackstock. Devoted grandmother to her 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Frank Sardine, Rupert and his wife Estella Sardine, Thelma and her husband Sonny Derek. FORBES, Jean
Peacefully at Hillsdale Manor, Monday February 20, 2006, Jean s wish to join her Saviour was granted. She was born Jean Radcliffe, in Wishaw, Scotland, July 17, 1911. She was predeceased by her parents, David Radcliffe and Margaret Reid. Also predeceased by siblings Willie, Bob, Tom, May (Beveridge), and Jim. Her husband Jim died in 1985. Jean is survived by her only son, Ian (Gail), grandchildren Deanna (Dean Brown), Trevor (Dianna), Sharleen Patterson (Susan) and Owen Patterson (Sharon). She was delighted to have lived long enough to enjoy her great grandchildren, Kelsey, Evan and Grace. Jean touched everyone she met with her kindness, generosity and love. She was often found making the rounds at Hillsdale, keeping other residents from being down or lonely by singing many of the old Scots songs. Rest now Mom, your struggle is over. You ve made a difference to those you ve touched and your spirit will go on within us all. Special thanks to Dr. McIntosh, all the nurses and care-givers at Hillsdale for their love, kindness and gentle care. Memorial donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated. It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Marcel Furoy peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, February 20th, 2006 in his 70th year after a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrigs). Born in Alban, Ontario, he leaves behind his wife H l ne (nee Frappier), daughter Nicole and husband Peter Mooney, son Guy and wife Leslie (Tyers). Grand Papa will be greatly missed by his grandchildren; Riley and Adam Furoy. Marcel is predeceased by his parents Simone et Rosaire, sister Jeanne d Arc Charbonneau and brother Fernand. He will be missed by sisters; Raymonde and husband Jean Bock, Laurianne and husband Gilles Giroux, Madeleine and husband Jean-Guy Allard, brothers; Raymond and wife Laurie, Roger and Hector Furoy. He will be greatly missed by the numerous nieces and nephews. Marcel is a past Grand Knight and Sir Knight with the Council Notre Dame #8549. HARTLESS, Glyn Edward
Died peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on February 19, 2006, after a lengthy battle with heart and kidney disease. Glyn is survived by his loving wife Myrtle Hartless, sister Eleanor and her family of New Zealand, sister-in-law Eunice and her family of England, and the Jones, Meikle, Garnett, Henderson, McKenzie, Moffit and Stewart families and their extended families as well as his many friends and family members around the world. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (35 Church St. N., Pickering Village, Ajax) on Friday, February 24, 2006 at 11:00a.m. Interment - Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens. CORCORAN, Richard Thomas, Heather Lynn (Gunn) and Kevin Benjamin
Sadly we announce the passing of Richard, son of Maurice and Gladys Corcoran, Heather, daughter of Peter and Marilyn Gunn, and their son Kevin Corcoran, on Saturday February 18th, 2006 in their Port Perry home. Beloved mother, father and brother to Ricky and Christa Corcoran and Fiance Will Bright. Richard, Heather and Kevin will be sadly missed by a large extended family of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephew and also many friends. The Corcoran family lived in Brooklin happily for many years, where they enjoyed owning teir own store and raising their family before moving to Port Perry.
