HAMMOND, Elizabeth Evelyn (nee McKnight)
Elizabeth Hammond passed away in Oshawa, Ontario on Friday March 17, 2006, at the age of 77. She was born on September 4, 1928 in Oshawa and spent much of her life raising her family and working in Regina, Saskatchewan. A former employee of General Motors of Canada, Evelyn worked hard all of her life and had many accomplishments. She was involved with Toastmasters, Oshawa Senior Citizens Council, hosted the Senior's Information Forum on Oshawa Cable and was a representative for SGEU. Evelyn loved music, singing and family gatherings. She kept her family involved in their Irish/Scottish heritage and was a proud descendant of William Wallace. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Ruby McKnight, sisters Sadie Fice and Ruby Houston and brother Archie McKnight. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Deborah Hammond (Tom Warner), children Craig Hammond (Crysta Mytreon), Tasha Hammond (Yuri Nystrom) and Carson Warner (Jessa Colter) and daughter Kathryn Loverock (Eric) children, Tammy Despres (Jason), Trisha Lyons (Brad) and Jamie Loverock (Jennifer Swanson). Great-grandmother, 'Darlin' to Christian, Carli, Bradley, Hope and Kyeran and special aunt to Linda Brown, Judy Fice and John Houston. Relatives and friends will be received at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday March 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in memory of Evelyn to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

After a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer Ian passed away at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Tuesday, March 14th, 2006 in his 39th year. Loving father of Natasha, Joshua and Justin. Beloved son of Michael and Marie Rose Ruddell. Ian will be sadly missed by his brothers Terry and Peter, sister Tracy, sister-in-law Lynn, and many nieces and nephews. Following his dreams as a young man, Ian became an ordained Pastor and served the community with passion as a Worship Leader, Youth Pastor and musician. He brought vision, music and a Christian message to many, especially to young people searching for direction.
