JAEB, ALBERT LAWRENCE: passed away in Kelowna, B.C. on Monday, December 2, 2002 at Cottonwoods Extended Care Facility. He was 96 years of age. Albert, the oldest of 11 children of Hubert and Anna (nee Frank), was born on Feb. 12, 1906 in the Dead Moose Lake District, now known as Marysburg, SK. On Oct. 29, 1935 he marriage Barbara Mueller. Albert and Barbara farmed eight miles south of St. Brieux at Daylesford, SK, for one year and then took over his father's farm, near Marysburg, SK. They farmed there until the fall of 1975 when they retired to Humboldt. In 1984 they moved to Kelowna, B.C. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara in 1996 and youngest child Arthur in 1999. Survived by his son Laverne, and daughters: Janet (Kurt) Kofer and Donna (Tom) Brown; 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; two brothers, four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be recited on Friday, December 6th, 2002 at 7:30 P.M. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1077 Fuller Avenue, Kelowna. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday, December 7th, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Cottonwoods Extended Care, through the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, B.C., V1Y 1T2. RADTKE, (SNIDER) (ALLRED) ETHEL VERA, born September 27, 1924 and passed away suddenly of a heart attack on December 5, 2002 in Kelowna, BC to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ. She is survived by her nine children: Gwen (Ken) Bender, children Marlissa, Susanne, Lindsay & Tannis; Marlin (Phyllis) Snider, children Jill, Greg, Eldon, Susanne & Kirk; Cheryl (Terry) Negaard, children Nicole & Arin; Kathy (Tom) Holberton, children Kimberly, Tanya and Dion; Larry (Paula) Snider; Lorraine (Glenn) Wishart, children Marnie & Matthew; Rodney (Angie) Snider, children Shawn, Rodney Peyton; Duane (Yolanda) Snider, children Jerusha, Samara, Chad, Vincent & Jordan; Elizabeth (Robert) Plumpton, children James & Michael; three step-children Lori (Hank) Stam, children Emlyn & Wilhem; Lois Radtke and Allan Radtke; six great grandchildren Joel, Brandon, Grayson, Harrison, Seth and Dean; brother Orley (Hazel) Allred of Raymond, AB; sister Fern Selby of Lethbridge, AB and sister Mary (Baker) Walker of St. George, UT. She was predeceased by her parents Marlin and Rhoda Allred, her brothers LaRue, Hugh, Ross and Norman and sisters Lucille and Thelma. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Mom took great joy in attending the L.D.S. Church throughout her life and especially working in the genealogy library, the relief society and the primary. She was a loving and giving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. A service in her honor will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 696 Glenmore Road, Kelowna, BC on Monday, December 9th at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the church. She will be buried with her first husband, William Owen Snider at the Temple Hill Cemetery in Raymond, AB. We request that no flowers be sent, but a donation made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, 201-1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2E6. ROCK, MARION (NEE MASECAR). Born in Saskatoon, SK, May 23, 1914. passed away on December 2, 2002 at the age of 88 years. Marion grew up in Saskatoon, SK. She attended the Nutana Collegiate, as well as the University of Saskatchewan. She met and marriage Robert (Bob) Rock. He worked for Marshall Wells while she raised four children, who will miss her dearly. They retired in Winnipeg in 1980 and moved to the Okanagan in 1992. Marion and Bob celebrated their 60th Anniversary prior to his passing. The loved each other very much. Marion was an avid Mother, gardener, traveler and loved to cook. She also kept busy curling in association with the Deerlodge Curling Club in Winnipeg and the Winfield Seniors Curling Club. Her secret to longevity was to always keep busy with a sense of humor. To all who knew her, she will be sadly missed and forever live in our hearts. She is survived by her four children; Terry Perks, Roland (Sharon) Rock, Delavin Rock and Gordon Rock, her sisters: Ruth Everett, Rhoda (Al) Gavin, and brother Rolph (Carla) Masecar, grandchildren: Dalyce, Tanya, David, Angela and Cody and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Rock, parents Bert & Ethel Masecar, sister Evelyn Matthew and Joan Pipe, grandchildren Crystal Rock and Dale Perks. TETREAU, SCOTT ALAN: passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at the age of 16. He is survived by his loving family: parents Wayne and Patricia; three brothers: Jordan, Bradley and Michael and extended family. THORNTON (McKNIGHT), MARGARET B passed away peacefully in her home in Edmonton, Alberta on November 21, 2002. Margaret is formerly of Kelowna and is survived by her loving children, son Ben (Janet) McKnight, four daughters, Isabel (Art) Fester, Charlotte McKnight, Suzanne (Glen) Foster , and Sherry (Mark) Roedel; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Johns as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services were held in Spruce Grove, Alberta on November 25, 2002. She will be sadly missed and forever in our memories.

FORCHUK,STEVE: Husband,Father, Grandfather, Brother and treasured friend was a proud and dependable man. He has left us all with many valuable memories and lessons to cherish. Born September 29th, 1925 in Lake Eliza, Alberta. Survived by Florence, his loving wife of 43 years, son Rick (Betty) and daughters Joanne (Les), Judy (Brian), Deana, Janet (Ken) and Leslie. Grandchildren Natalie, Cara, Cassidy, Jason, Reid and wife Robin, Leisha, Jennie, Rodney, Michelle, Trisha, Brodie and great-grandson Dustin. Steve worked for Co-op wholesale and retail in Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC from his early working years until 1977 when the family moved to Kelowna to operate their own businesses. He was secretary treasurer of the Legion in Kelowna before he and Flo went to Grenada where he was comptroller at a construction business owned by his brother Wally. During the last several years Steve has been doing one of the things he loved best, accounting work for private businesses and the strata corporation where he and Flo lived for the last several years. Steve loved to travel, hike, camp and fish. He was also an avid bridge player where he made many wonderful friends over the years. With his family, traveled by motorhome to Florida in the winter and Alaska in summers. He was hospitalized October 1, 2002 and passed away in Cottonwoods December 8. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 13, 2002 from the Chapel of Valleyview Funeral Home, 165 Valleyview Road, Kelowna. The family wishes to thank Dr. Larry Bobyn, the staff at Kelowna General Hospital 4 East and the wonderful staff at Cottonwoods Douglas Fir as well as all of our caring and thoughful friends. Gajdel, Antoni: passed away on Saturday, December 7th, 2002 at the age of 88. He is survived by his loving wife Ljubica; sister-in-law Nadzieja Gajdel of Calgary; nephew Eddy (Djanka) Gajdel and family of Toronto; niece Leona (Joe) Hryszko and family of Calgary; two sisters in Belarus, Russia; numerous nieces and nephews and friends Eugene and Zofia Kuklicz and family of Calgary. Predeceased by his brother Edward. Antoni left Belarus in 1939 and joined the Polish Army where he served and was stationed all over the world. In 1946, he came to Canada, lived in Alberta until 1973, then moved to Kelowna where he spent the rest of his life. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 10th at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, B.C. Cremation to follow. Workman, Gabrielle Doreen, (nee Minter): Born March 14, 1922, passed away peacefully at home Dec. 6, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. Gabrielle was born in London, England, where she met her husband Edward Noel a serviceman with the R.C.A.F. during World War 2. After their marriage in 1946 they settled in Toronto, Ont. In 1966, Gabrielle, Noel and their son and daughter moved to Kelowna where they operated a successful business for many years. Gabrielle and Noel enjoyed travelling extensively during their retirement years and after his death in 1999, Gabrielle continued to enjoy an active social life, golfing with her many lady friends and taking numerous holidays. Gabrielle will be dearly remembered by her family and friends for her caring and generous spirit. Gabrielle is survived by her son, Martin Workman of Kelowna, B.C., daughter Lesley (Trevor) Smith, of Westbank, B.C., grand daughter Noelle (Kurtis) Shea and great grand daughter, Brooklyn Shea of Calgary, AB, grand daughters, Courtney and Gabe Smith of Westbank, B.C., brothers Tim (predeceased) and sister-in-law, Joan Minter of Toronto, Ont. and Brian and Perry Minter of England, also many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Marianne Taylor of C.C.S.I. and staff, Dr. Mackle and palliative care. In lieu of flowers. donations may be made to the Southern Interior Cancer Clinic. Alcock, Alice Eleanor passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4th, 2002. Alice was born in Penticton B.C. on June 17th, 1919 residing in Vancouver B.C. until 1948 when her husband and young family moved to Kelowna to spend the rest of her life. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Frederick Raymond Alcock and her 6 sons: Dale; Barry (Brenda); Wayne (Bonnie); Stephen (Tricia); Jonathan (Sher); Douglas (Janet) all of have been a real credit to her over the years and loved her dearly. Also, she is survived by her 33 loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and her only surviving sister Peg of Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Alice's memory would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements were entrusted to First Memorial Funeral Services.

MELLISH, DON: of Kelowna, formerly of Toronto, ON, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 9, 2002 at the age of 72. He is survived by his loving wife Elva; daughter Cynthia and son-in-law Aaron of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren: Vanessa, Aaron Ben, Tyson, and Sherry; two sisters: June Griffin and Cathy Warda both of Toronto, ON. As a retired successful businessman, Don was very active in his church. He loved the Lord, his family, friends, and his cars. Don's sense of humor and wisdom will be missed by all. NUMRICH, HUGO: Went to be with his Lord and Saviour on December 7, 2002 at the age of 72 years. Hugo worked for the City of Calgary for 35 years. He moved to Kelowna in 1989 and became involved in Grace Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Wally; son, Harry (Tracey) Numrich of Red Deer, AB; daughter, Wendy Numrich of Calgary; step-daughter, Elizabeth Klempner of Victoria and three grandchildren, Paul, Grant and Brianne. Predeceased by parents, Phillip; and Marie Numrich and his first wife, Ruth. Family and friends will remember Hugo at a Funeral Celebration at Grace Baptist Church (1150 Glenmore Drive, Kelowna) on Thursday December 12, 2002 at 10:30 A.M.
