Pat Johnson, cherished wife and best friend of Edward Johnson for 53 years, passed away peacefully on her 73rd birthday, June 10th, 2007 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Youngest daughter of the late William and Flossie Dodwell. Mother of sons Kevin (Lynn) and Rob (Kim). Greatly missed and loved by granddaughters Melanie, Courtney, Cassidy and Kyla. Sister to Barbara (George) Page, Oshawa; Shirley (Paul) Sobil, Taunton Rd. E.; and Bill (Kay) Dodwell, Bobcaygeon. Sister-in-law to Olga and the late Morley Johnson, the late Howard Johnson, Bernice and the late Lloyd Webster, Shirley and George MacGregor and Wayne and Pat Johnson. Zion United Church was the centre of Pat’s faith. She sang in the choir; active with her husband Ed in the “Happy Gang”; secretary of the “Anne Reed Unit” of Zion United Church Women. She will be remembered for her efficient manner at Zion United Church caterings. She loved to go to the hunting camp to fish, walking with Rosie and Ed in the Enniskillen Conservation Park and cross-country skiing. She will be remembered for her service in “Pebblestone Golf Course” pro shop for many years. Worked in the “Traffic Department” at General Motors’ office from 1950 – 1961. A service to celebrate her life will be held at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday, June 14th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with interment at Zion United Church Cemetery.
