Suddenly, at Centenary Hospital, on Sunday, June 10, 2007 in his 63rd year. Ken, beloved husband of Sandy; loving father of Lori and her husband Warren Coniam, Wendy, Jim and his wife Belinda. Proud Grumpa of Lee-Anne, Terri-Lynn, Dylan and Jessica. Ken will be lovingly remembered by his countless friends and family. Friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (just north of Hwy. 2) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007. BLIGHT, William ''Bill''
(Retired from General Motors with over 45 years of service and long-time member of the Oshawa Golf Club). passed away peacefully in his 85th year, at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa on Saturday, June 9, 2007 with his family at his side. Survived by his adoring wife of 57 years Marion Doris Blight (nee MacDonald). Loving father of Ellen (Elwood Sims), Bruce (Elizabeth MacLeod), and Sue (Larry Dickinson). Fondly remembered by grandchildren Tammy, Alexandra, Colin, Jeff, and Tori. Sadly missed by sister Dorothy McKenna and cousin Deenie Anderson. Special thanks for the loving care given by Karen, Evelyn, and Karen as well as from the support staff at Hillsdale Estates. DeGIORGIO, Shirley (nee Miller)
It is with deepest sadness and broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Shirley on June 9, 2007. Predeceased by her husband John, mother Mary and father Alexander Miller, sisters Noreen, Mary, Helen and brothers Jimmy and Teddy. Shirley leaves 4 children, Carmen (George), Debbie (Rick), Wendy (Ron) and son Mark. Grandma will be missed dearly by her 10 wonderful grandchildren and her 6 precious great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her sisters Bonnie (Clare), Darlene (Weebles, Joan and brothers Ronnie (Judy), Wayne (Marchia) and stepfather Mark Hood., as well as Aunt Dorothy and all her nieces and nephews. Resting at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (110 Dundas Street East, Whitby 905-668-3410). Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00am in the chapel. Cremation to follow. In memoriam, donations may be made to the Charity of choice.

Peacefully at Community Nursing Home, Pickering, on Saturday, June 9, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Ethel (2001). Loving father of John and his wife Linette and Jim and his wife Joanne. John Leger loved husband of Hazel (nee Cyderman) of Port Perry formerly of Oshawa. Loving father of Wayne Leger and his wife Jayne of Port Hope and Susan and her husband Paul Sharpe of Guelph. Dear grandfather of Brian Callow, Jason Callow, Dustin Callow, and step grandfather of Shannon Sharpe, Rian Sharpe, Wayne Kennedy, and Michael Kennedy. Brother of Emma Thebeau (Eloi), Firmin Legere (Ella), Eloi Leger (Jeaninne), Celina Thebeau (Desire), Jeanne Thibault (Josephat), Marc Leger (Bertha), Roger Leger (Jeannette), Carmelle Daigle (Sylvain), Elise Bourque (Louis) and Abel Leger (Lea). Eldest son of the late Fidele and Marie Leger. The family of John Leger will receive family and friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, McDermott-Panabaker Chapel 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Monday, June 11, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Nancy Monteith officiating. At Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa on Saturday June 9th, 2007. Jim Stainton at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Ruth. Loving father of David and his wife Brenda and Doug and his wife Jeanine. Beloved grandfather of Linda (Jim), Ray (Leanne), Robin and Cameron. Devoted great grandfather of Amanda and Nathan and predeceased by Bradley. Brother of Ross, Keith and Grace Thomas. Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice L1E 2R7 (905-432-8484) with Funeral Service at Zion United Church (Enfield Road, Mitchell Corner) on Wednesday June 13th at 1:00 PM. Served in R.C.A.F WW II as Air Navigator with rank of Flying Officer. Graduated Queen s University, Kingston with Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering 1948. Employed by Ontario Hydro for 33 years with work headquarters in Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Belleville and Toronto. Masonic: Initiated Harmony Lodge No. 370, Delta (now Phillipsville) January 1946. 60 years a Mason on January 26th, 2006. Worshipful Master Temple Lodge No. 665, Ottawa 1963, Elected Grand Senior Warden 1973. Appointed or elected to the Board of General Purposes of Grand Lodge 1979-89. Served as chairman of Grand Lodge Committee on the Bulletin, Advisory Committee on Lodge Buildings, Committee on the Condition of Masonry and Library Committee. passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on June 8th, 2007. Marlene in her 65th year. Loving wife of the late George Hess. Devoted mother to Dave Hess, Sharon Hess and Carol (Dale) Adams. Dear sister to Ronald Proctor (Helen) of Toronto, Beatrice Russell (Bob) of Oshawa, Doreen Hubbard (George) of Oshawa, Diane Branton (Richard) of Roseneath, Linda Laverty (Doug) of Oshawa, Beverley Copetti (Walter) of Courice and the late William Proctor and Cindy Proctor. Proud Granny of Eric and Shawn Adams. Marlene will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with a service in the chapel on Tuesday June 12th at 10 a.m. Interment at Union Cemetery to follow. passed away at Lakeridge Health in Whitby on Thursday June 7, 2007. Irma Somogyi wife of the late Imre Somogyi. Loving sister of Rudy and his wife Lydia Gobkes and predeceased by her brother Kurt Gobkes. She will be sadly missed by her sister in law Edith Gobkes and her 6 nieces and nephews and their families. At the request of Irma no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place.
