Peacefully on Saturday, September 15th, 2007 at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Henry Davidson. Dear sister of Beryl (Jim) Monaghan. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and in England. MARTIN, Stephen G.
Retired from the Toronto District School Board after 34 years of service, was a Scugog Township School Board Trustee for 4 years and was a local Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker. passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the age of 59. Steve Martin dearly beloved husband of Pat Martin of Port Perry. Dear son of Alma Martin and the late Leslie Martin. Loving and proud father of Philip Martin, Jen and her husband Dave Jackson, Jacqueline and her husband Gary Amaral and Katie. Steve will be missed by this brothers in law Ray and his wife Apryle Patterson and Bruce Patterson and his nephews Michael and James. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Steve Martin, will be held at the Port Perry United Church, 294 Queen St., Port Perry on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour before service time. passed away at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Saturday September 15th, 2007 in her 93rd year. Dearly loved wife of the late Ollie Nancekivell. Much loved mother of Barbara Webb of Brampton. Grandmother of Jeffrey Fry of Brampton. Great-grandmother of Stephen and Matthew. Survived by her sister Elsie Smith of London. Geraldine, devoted wife for 56 years of Edward Ted, of Orono, and the late Victor. Loving mother of Edward Thomas Pritchard and his wife Kathleen of Newmarket, Alma Taylor of Calgary, and Glen Owen Pritchard and his wife Margaret of Orono. Sadly missed by grandchildren Laura, Pam, Dan, Shawn, Tracey, David, Justin, Sarah, Kevin, and many great-grandchildren. Sister of Ron Pogue and his wife Wendy, and the late Midge, Elaine, Evelyn, Howard and Harold. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. ADAMS, Margaret
With sadness and a profound sense of gratitude and love for a wonderful woman, the Adams family announces the passing of Peggy Adams on Friday, September 14, 2007, in her 80th year after a short illness.
Born Margaret Eva Alsford, first child of the late Jack Alsford and Gladys Gilson, she was born March 18, 1928 at Slough, Buckinghamshire, England.
On August 13, 1949 she married Ross Alymer Adams, son of the late Zachariah David Adams and Margaret Susan Elford of Bowmanville, and they started their married life in Bowmanville after sailing to Canada shortly after their nuptials in her hometown. In 1964 they moved to 44 Thorncliffe St., Oshawa where they have since resided and spent so many wonderful years watching their children and grandchildren grow up, having become great grandparents last year. She was employed with Sears Canada for 25 years.
Peggy will be greatly missed after 58 years of marriage to her beloved husband Ross, one son and three daughters: Terry Adams of Bowmanville; Gail Grant of Oshawa; Roslyn (Mrs. Robert Muir ) of Newcastle; Tracy Lincmajer of Bowmanville; also eight grandchildren, Troy Grant, Revelstoke, B.C.; Rhonda Grant and her fiance Raymond Buller, Oshawa; Ryan Grant, Toronto; Amanda, (Mrs. Adam Millson), Pontypool; Emily Muir and Matthew Muir at home; Christopher and Jessica Lincmajer of Bowmanville; one great-grandson, Travis Millson; also one sister, Anita Wheeler, of Cambridge and her children Susan, Jayne, Ross and Julie and their families. She was predeceased by a son, Larry Mark Adams, in 1953.
She will be greatly missed by her cousins Brenda and husband Roy Morris and Mary Button and friends Vera Brimble and Rita and Norm Easterbrook all of England and her many friends and relatives past and present. AUGER, Kenneth Charles
passed away with his family by his side at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the age of 48 years. Ken was well known to the Bowmanville Community as owner of the Pizza Wagon. It was there that he met and fell in love with his life partner and best friend, Pat Pentland. Pat s son, Daniel, became very dear to Ken and he was so proud to become a grandfather to Tyson almost 4 years ago. While in Bowmanville, Ken was an active member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph s Roman Catholic Church and is a Past Grand Knight. Ken found a job he loved and formed lifelong friendships when he joined Dom s Auto Parts. Another great passion was Ken s love for animals, large and small. He was involved in and supported all aspects of nurturing and rearing the Altair Chinese Crested purebred show dogs. The generosity and caring that endeared Ken to so many was returned tenfold during his time of need. Every act of kindness, support and caring that Ken received during his illness was treasured by him and helped ease the journey. The family wishes to express gratitude for the love and prayers that were sent his way.
Ken leaves behind his wife, Pat Pentland and son Daniel (Laura). He was predeceased by his mother Eleanor (nee Crowe) and is survived by his father, Victor Francis and his wife, Lois. Ken will also be greatly missed by his brother, Michael (Brigitte) and sisters, Anne (Todd), Michelle (Martin), Teresa (Paul) and brother-in-law, Fred. Ken was well loved by his grandson, Tyson and his 11 nieces and nephews. Peacefully at Walnut Grove on Wednesday September 12, 2007. Margaret is predeceased by her husband Lloyd Sherwood Collacutt. Loving mother of Joanie Elizabeth Chaffe & her husband Richard Southwood of Kendal. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Richard Slater Chaffe of Kendal, Sherwood James Chaffe & his wife Donna of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Catharine Elizabeth Chaffe & her husband Salvatore Croce of Whitestone, New York. Fondly remembered by her great grandson Erik James Chaffe of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Born in Kingston, Ontario in 1918, Margaret grew up in Gananoque and moved to Oshawa at the age of 15. Margaret and Lloyd were married in 1937. A former member of the Oshawa Golf Club, the Oshawa Hospital Auxiliary, Margaret and Lloyd were former winter residents of Palm Beach Florida for over 50 years. Margaret and Lloyd were also former members of the Everglades Club, The Beach Club, and Palm Beach National Golf Club. Many thanks to the staff and students at Walnut Grove for their loving care, in particular Brenda, Sylvia, Heather, Suzanne & Tetyana. Thank you to Dr. Irwin for his constant care.
