DAVISON, Doug died peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, July 9, 2006. He was born April 18, 1941 in Sydenham. He began his career with Coca-Cola at the age of 21, working for them in Toronto, followed by over 30 years of employment in Kingston. He spent most of his life in Sydenham, in the home he built with the help of the "Davison clan". He enjoyed working his hobby farm, hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors. He leaves behind his daughter, Gina Davison and husband George Jackson, granddaughters Lauren and Grace Jackson; his mother Velma Davison of Hartington; siblings Joyce Watson (Reg), Roger (Shirley), Gary, Bob (Lorna), Rick (Janet), Dianne, Mike (Pam), Debbie Corcoran (Dan), Cathy Sproule (Don), Kevin; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father John Davison and brother Randy. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard). Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 11, between the hours of 3 - 5 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday, July 12, at 1:00 pm. Following the Interment at Harrowsmith Cemetery, there will be a reception in the Golden Links Hall. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to The MS Society in Doug's memory.

DERBY, Dr. Angus Campbell MDCM, FRCS(C), FACS, MID, CD July 27, 1914 - July 22, 2006 Proud Veteran of World War II and Korean War It is with great sorrow that the family of Dr. Angus Campbell Derby announces his death on July 22, 2006 at his home in Kingston, Ontario. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Beverley Ruth Locke and their dearest son, John Campbell Derby. His constant love and devotion will be forever mourned by his daughters Kathryn, Jane, Susan, and Gina, and their partners Bob Sexsmith, Walter Shuster and John Ferguson. Gramps will always be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Michael and Angela Braby, Ian and Lesley Braby, Jessica and Kevin Clinton, Jillian and Veronica Derby, and Chelsea Ferguson. Great grandchildren Andrew and Benjamin Braby, and Reese Clinton will miss their "Super -G". Mollie is survived by her husband Ernest; her children Michael (Tina Russo), Christine Dickinson (Chris) and Keith (Lori Beattie); and her grandchildren Alex, Fay, Jane, Helen, Oscar and Eve. She is also survived by her sister Ann Hayward (Tony) and her brother-in-law John Dewing (Barbara). In keeping with Mollie's wishes cremation has taken place. FALLIS, Earle Warren November 13, 1929  July 23, 2006 Peacefully passed into the presence of God at Rideaucrest Home, Kingston, Ontario. Beloved husband of Joy (nee Smith) for 51 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Nancy and Cam Watts, Ruth and Gary Barden, and Jennifer and Bill Buitenwerf. Devoted Grandpa of Kristen and Ben Watts, and Kendall, Jason and Aaron Buitenwerf. Cherished older brother of Jack (Norma) of Ville Ste. Marie, Quebec and Devona Wiederick (the late Harvey) of Kingston. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Warren was a Civil Engineer (Queens 1953) and was employed by Kingston P.U.C. from 1955  1991, then served as a Commissioner from 1991  1997. He was a charter member of Kingston Alliance Church where he served in a number of capacities. His life was one of devotion to God and his family. The family is deeply appreciate of the compassionate, competent care given with love and respect to Warren while Rideaucrest was his home. A Memorial Service will be held in the Kingston Alliance Church (Corner of Palace Road and Bath Road) on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 2 pm. A Private Family Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario on Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Memorial gifts to the Gideons or the Parkinsons Society would be appreciated by the family.

Fellows, Frances Anglin (nee McCuaig) Frances, died peacefully with family early Monday, July 31, 2006 at Kingston General Hospital in her 93rd year. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, James Fraser Fellows and by her brother Hugh McCuaig (Edna) of Gananoque. She is predeceased by parents, Reverend Hugh and Jennie Anglin McCuaig; sister Harriette Jean Smith (Morley); and brothers, Donald McCuaig (Ruth) and the Reverend Alan McCuaig (Elizabeth). Frances grace, love and wisdom guided her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews from Ontario, Quebec, and the United States. She will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Kuma Savage and family of Brighton, ON. Frances was a dedicated teacher both by profession and by nature. Her love of God, family, nature, reading and Eagle Lake were augmented by her never-satisfied love of learning. Frances originally began her teaching career with a stint in Fort Erie and then returned home to teach at Sydenham High, Frontenac High, and The South Cottage School. Her contagious love of books and dedicated tutoring helped many young students improve their life opportunities. A very special thank you to Jim and Mary Beyette for their years of friendship, caring and support. Fran was blessed by the best of friends and neighbours one could ask for and we thank them for their invaluable contributions to both her spiritual and health care needs. Family members Marilyn and Reg Smith, and Patricia and Dave McCuaig are remembered for their constant vigilance and loving care. The family is grateful to Linda Lach, not only for her superior care, but also for her loving commitment to both Frances and Fraser. FLYNN, Edward David It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed Flynn in his 88th year, on Friday, June 30, 2006. A life-long resident of Kingston and WWII veteran, will be sadly missed by his dear wife Helen, children David and Jo-Anne (Bob Webster), granddaughter Lauren and sister Frances Cross of Oakville. Ed is also survived by his sisters-in-law Marion Richards and Lina Jenne and brother-in-law Roy Billing, and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place, a Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd at Highway 2) on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 3 pm. GALLOWAY, Jean Isabel (nee Spiers) July 31, 1916 - July 25, 2006 With great sadness we announce the death of Jean Isabel Galloway on July 25, 2006 in her 90th year. She is predeeceased by her brother, Robert Alexander Spiers, by her husband, Dr. James Duncan Galloway, and by her son Donald Lorne. She is survived by her daughter Susan Petrick (Fraser), daughter-in-law Fran Galloway, three grandchildren, Kathy Petrick (Peter) and Stephen Petrick and Jennifer Galloway (Thomas) and one great granddaughter, Ava Tuutalik Dawn Hadlari. Jean resided in Burlington for many years and was active in the community as a co-founding member of the Animal Aid Society of Burlington with whom she served as a volunteer for 27 years, fundraising by operating and staffing "The Attic", their used furniture and clothing store. She delivered Meals on Wheels for the Red Cross for 22 years and was voted Citizen of the Year in Burlington in 1994. Jean was always interested in politics and worked hard for the Liberal Party all her life. She was a devoted Blue Jays fan and continued to watch them to the end. She will be missed by a legion of friends in Burlington and Kingston and her fellow volunteers. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After the death of her husband in 2001, Jean moved to Kingsdale Chateau, a retirement home in Kingston, to be closer to her family, finally settling at Briargate Retirement Living Centre. Thanks to the staff and residents at both facilities for the excellent care they provided. KNAPP, Thelma Irene December 2, 1916 - May 18, 2006 Peacefully at Fairmont Home on Thursday, May 18, 2006. Survived by her brother Garnet Knapp and Wilma Dunn (nee Knapp). Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Verna, sister Marie and brother Gilbert. Also predeceased by her beloved long time partner Isaac Le Blanc. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and long time friends. Family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd. and Highway 2) on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 11 am. Interment Sandhill Cemetery (Battersea). Loving stepfather of Lee George (Tom)- Kingston, Sandra Giesebrecht (Don) - Petawawa, Margaret Barker - Ottawa and Neil Bateman (Fran) - Ottawa. Much loved papa of Randy, Jeff and Noel George (Tamara), Matthew Giesebrecht (Kristal), Sarah Lamothe (Jay), Corey Barker (Angie), Megan Barker, and Christopher, Ashley and Laura Bateman. Proud great-grandfather of Jonathan Conway, Caelan Barker and Lukas George. Bill is survived by his brothers Fred Lake (Lillian) - Florida, and Jack Leake (Anne) and his sister Gladys Jones (Ken) - all of England. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2). Funeral service in the chapel on Friday, May 19, 2006 at 1:00 pm, followed by cremation. Father Charles Gazley officaiting. A family committal service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Lovingly remembered by his step-daughter Patti Stokes and her husband Alex, his step-son Don Hartley, grandaughters Tiara McLaurin Stokes and Jasmine Stokes, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Norton Lees and Emma Woolsey and his sisters Gertrude Blondin and Helen Timmerman. In keeping with Charles' wishes, cremation will immediate. A private family committal service will follow at Sandhill Cemetery in Battersea. The former Florence Baillie Munroe, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of 47 years to the late George Leonard. Loving mother of Sheila Leonard, Aileen Perz (Larry Stafford) and Alan Leonard (Trish). Cherished grandma of Jeff (Renata), Kara (Daryl), Kyle and Michael and great grandmother of Mirikai. Remembered fondly by her brother-in-law Robert Leonard and sister-in-law Helena Leonard. Predeceased by her sister Milly Fraser and her brother Alan Munroe. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Thursday evening from 7 - 9 and on Friday from 10 am until service time. Cherished mother of Norman and his wife Janet and Pamela Schwartz and her husband Gary. Treasured grandmother of Matthew (Sheri), Laura (Paul Chaves), David and Danielle (Dan) and great grandmother of Daniel Troy Chaves. Gladys is predeceased by her three sisters, and nine brothers and is survived by her brother Charlie Hopson, her sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Gladys was a long time employee of Brown's Food Service at the Kingston Memorial Centre. Her family would like to thank the caring staff of St. Mary's Hospital, Gibson Two South. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2). Funeral service in the Chapel on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 11:00 am, officiated by Reverend David Ward. Survived by brothers Ian and Peter, as well as countless nieces, nephew and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Vic, Johnny and William and by sisters Sophie, Pat and Gwen. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by family, extended family, friends and tennis partners and opponents, alike.
