NESHEIM, Diane Dorothy After a peaceful day at home, Diane passed away in her sleep on Friday, May 25, 2007, in her 66th year. Preceeded in death by her mother and father and infant twins. She is survived by her loving husband Mike, her daughter Julie (Sean), her son Tom and her grandchildren Connor, Blake, Christian and Adam. In keeping with Diane's wishes, cremation has taken place. All are invited to celebrate Diane's life at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 2 pm with a reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to The Lung Association or to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.

'A father is a father, forever' Life member of Kingston Naval Veterans Association, member of HMCS Cataraqui Association After a brief illness, peacefully at the Kingston General Hosptial on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at the age of 81. Walter was predeceased by his first wife Olive (McQuaid) and by his second wife Renee (Taylor). He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Sharon Knott and her husband Walt of Kingston and Marilyn VanEmber of Dartmouth, NS and by his step-daughter Margaret Beaudry of Duncan, BC. Proud grandpa of Dereck (Melody), and Darcy of Kingston, Dennis (Carole) of Fredericton, NB and Stephen of Duncan, BC. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Hilda Darragh, and Della Hamel of NS, and Grace Fillmore and Bonnie Carter of ON and by his many nieces and nephews. A special thank you is extended to the doctors and nurses of Connell 9 at KGH, especially Brenda Farnquist for their compassioniate care and to dad's extended family at Trillium Ridge Retirement Lodge. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (John Counter Blvd at Highway 2) on Sunday 6-9 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 10:30 am, followed by the inurnment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. A service of Remembrance will be included during the funeral and all Naval Veterans and Members of 560 Legion are requested to gather at the funeral home at 10 am. If family and friends so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association would be deeply appreciated by the family. Predeceased by his wife Huguette and son-in-law Richard Buchner. He will be sadly missed by his children Francine Buchner, Monique Murphy, Louise (William Clow), Marc (Marlene Payette); grandchildren Trish (Doug), Laurie (Mike), Dawn (Steve), Rick (Mallory), Bryan, Matthew and Christopher and great-grandsons Brandon and Henrik. At Bert's request there will be no visitation. Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2) on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 1:30 pm, followed by cremation. Entombment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. Loving father of Carlos and his wife Pauline. Fondly remembered by his one grandson Antonio. Brother of Manuel Luis (Alice), Joaquim (Maria), The late Lionel (Maria do Ceu), Maria (the late Jose), Celeste (Manuel), Maria Jose (Maxmino), Albertina (Arelindo) and Felisbela (Antonio). Brother on-law of Custodia Silva. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd). Family and friends will be received Tuesday form 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday August 1, 2007 at 1:30pm. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery. David Porter, in his 79th year, beloved husband of the late Doreen (McIlroy). Loving father of Brian Porter (Lori) of Kingston. Affectionately known as "Poppy" to Kyle, Steven and Justin. Survived by his sister Audrey McDougall of Ottawa and by numerous nieces and nephews. David is predeceased by his sisters, Vera Fowler, Helen Bush, Dorothy Shearer, Irene Rushworth, Wilna (Billie) Harpell, Thelma Lancaster and Christine Porter, and also by brother Fred Porter. Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, CATARAQUI CHAPEL (1900 John Counter Boulevard). Friends will be received on Monday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, August 21, at 11:00 am., with Rev. Job van Hartingsveldt officiating. Cremation to follow with inurnment at Cataraqui Cemetery. SAINT, Grace Muriel Grace passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesay, July 10, 2007 at the grand age of 91. Beloved mother of Jane Downs (Tony) of Kingston and Susan Saint of Brampton. Grandmother of Kathryn McGuire (Dan) of Oxford Mills, Brenda Downs of Airdrie, AB, Leah Yakimishyn (Ed) of Brampton, and Damian Schrey of Pensacola, FL; great grandmother of Sam, Emilie and Makenzy. Grace was born a farm girl in Kemptville in 1916 and moved to Kingston after her marriage to Jack Saint. She was active in volunteer work for the Optimist Club and the Cancer Society, and was an avid and excellent curler and bridge player. She also enjoyed golf. She and Jack made many firm friends in Kingston and enjoyed their company immensely. Grace was predeceased by her husband Jack, in 1993 and her brothers Milburn, Omar, Harry, Percy and Ray. She is survived by her older sister, Hilda (Lil) Hudgin, of Brockville and many nephews and nieces. Sincere thanks to the staff of KGH Emergency and the Acute Stroke Unit for their assistance and tender support in Grace's last hours. In keeping with Grace's wishes, cremation and inurnment at Cataraqui Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Saturday, July 14, at 1:30 pm. Inurnment at Cataraqui Cemetery. A reception will follow in the James Reid Reception Centre . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of choice, in Mrs. Saint's memory.

Predeceased by his parents Allan and Gertrude (King) Sands and by his brother Robert Sands. Dear brother of Jessie Pevey of Kingston, Doris Fawkes of Glenburnie and Shirley Budgell and her husband Lloyd of Welland. Much loved and cherished uncle of Ron, Linda, Heather; Sandra, Audrey; Jeff, Joan, Doug; and Janet Lynn, Robert and Geoffrey. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at KGH, ICU and to St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. In keeping with Clifford's wishes, funeral services and Interment at Sandhill Cemetery will be private.
