Edna Maxine Bailie
The death of Maxine Bailie, age 79, wife of Ted Bailie of Sackville occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Friday, January 25, 2002.
Born in Kelligrews, NF, she was a daughter of the Late Edgar and Jane (Dawe) Haines.
Trained as a hairdresser, she worked at this profession throughout her life, she also worked for a few years with JL Black & Sons. Maxine was a veteran of WW II, she enlisted in the RCAF (WD) and served in Canada. She was a member of the Sackville Branch # 26, Royal Canadian Legion. and of the Anglican Church.
Maxine will be sadly missed by her husband of 52 years, Edward (Ted) Bailie, Sackville, a son, David(Shelly), Upper Dorchester, a daughter, Jo-Ann, Sackville, 3 grandchildren ,Stephanie (John Fougere), Jonathan and Sarah and a great grandchild, Benjamin, also a brother George (Edna) Haines, Upper Gullies, NF. She was predeceased by sisters, Ida, Lydia, Leah and Hilda and by brothers, Harry, Charlie, Hedley, Earl and Walter.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge, St., Sackville (364-1300) with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 28, 2002 at 2 PM, Rev. Father Kevin Stockall officiating. The Sackville Branch # 26 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service at the funeral home Sunday at 7:30 PM. If desired donations in Maxine's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Harold "Jack" Delesdernier
December 1, 1908 - January 16, 2002
The death of Harold "Jack" Delesdernier, age 93, most recently of Sackville, but a life long resident of Rockport, occurred on Wednesday, January 16, 2002 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Rockport, he was a son of the late John and Mildred (Ward) Delesdernier.
Jack was a farmer and the last surviving member of the Rockport Loyal Orange Lodge. He was one of the last appointed trustees of the original Rockport United Church. Jack was a great friend of young people and a lover of music.
He is survived by a brother, Rupert of Rockport, and 3 sisters; Hester Mitton, Maria Johnson, and Beulah MacDonald (Earl), all of Sackville and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Spence, and a brother, Douglas.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, 364-1300, with visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home, Friday, January 18, 2002 at 2 PM with Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton officiating. Burial in the Rockport Cemetery in the spring. Donations to the Rockport Cemetery or the Rockport United Church would be appreciated.

Richard "Dick" Hall
The death of Richard (Dick) Hall age 63 of Sackville occurred suddenly at his home on Monday, January 28.2002.
Born in Sackville, he was a son of the Late Richard and Dorothy (Saunders) Hall.
A man of varied interests, Dick grew up in Springhill, helping in the community during the mine disasters. He was a Disc Jockey for several years with CKDH and other area radio stations. Moving to Florida in the 60's he worked with a funeral home there for several years. For over 10 years he operated Kustom Kabinets, retiring in 1985.
Dick is survived by a friend Joan Beal, Sackville and her children, Todd and Tracy and grandchildren Tanner, Geoffrey, Nicholas and Andrew, two aunts, Viola Estabrooks, Sackville and Marie Bickerton, Canning, NS, his ex-wife Madelyn, step-children, Carolyn, Patricia and Bill and several step-grandchildren.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 31, 2002 at 2 PM. Burial in the spring.

John Mansfield
The death of John Mansfield, age 64 of Dorchester, occurred suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 9, 2002.
Born in Westfield, Queens Co., NS he was a son of the late Hasting and Rosella (Therieau) Mansfield.
John was a military man, retiring as Sergeant from the Canadian Army in 1985, having served with the Royal Canadian 1st guard from 1957 to 1976, then with the 3rd RCR until 1981 and finally with the 2nd RCR until retirement. He served in Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Egypt and Cyprus. During his military career he received the UN (Cyprus) Medal, UN Emergency Force Medal Middle East, Canadian Centennial Medal 1967, Canadian Forces Decoration and Clasp, Special Service Medal and the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal. A former employee with Corrections Canada and the Dorchester Jail he finally retired in 1994. He was a member of the Dorchester Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
John will be sadly missed by his wife Helene (Ohlhoff), Dorchester, 2 sons, Shawn (Martha), Vancouver, BC and Troy (Darlene), Bedford, NS 2 grandchildren, Josie and Payton. The youngest of 10 children he is also survived by 2 brothers, Denton (Virginia), Lunenburg, NS and Arley (Iris), Westfield, NS, 2 sisters, Avis Selig and Erma Frail both of Westfield, NS.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville with visitation Friday from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, January 12, 2002 at 2 PM with Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton officiating. Dorchester Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service Friday evening at 7:30 at the funeral home.

Wylie Trenholm
The death of Wylie Trenholm, age 82, of Port Elgin, occurred on Thursday, January 10, 2002, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Baie Verte he was a son of the Late Carritte and Janet (Goodwin) Trenholm.
A veteran of the RCAF he served in Canada and Nfld during the Second World War. He was formerly a traveller with Canada Packers and in 1965 he moved to the USA operating restaurants in Kentucky and Illinois. In 1981 he retired and returned to Canada. He was a member of the Baie Verte United Church, the Westmorland Masonic Lodge #44 and the Rizpah Shriner's Temple in Madisonville, Kentucky and past president of the Baie Verte Senior Citizens Club.
Wylie will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years Ernestine (MacIntosh), Port Elgin, 1 daughter, Barbara (Jerry) Vaughn, Murray, KY., 2 sons, Manfred (Jennifer), Denver, CO. and Robert (Cindy), Murray, KY., daughter-in-law, Mary Trenholm, 7 grandchildren ,1 great granddaughter and 3 step great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Walter, Jolicure, 2 sisters, Fidella D'Orsay, Toronto and Anna Everett, Bayfield. He was predeceased by a son, John Wylie Sr., a grandson, John Wylie Jr. , brothers, Manfred and Eugene and by a sister Amy.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Port Elgin with visitation Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held at the Baie Verte United Church on Monday, January 14, 2002 at 11 AM. Burial in the Baie Verte Cemetery in the spring. Westmorland Lodge # 44 F & AM will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Sunday, January 13 at 7:30PM.

Clarence Joseph Murphy
July 10, 1917 - February 9, 2002
The death of Clarence Murphy, age 84, occurred on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at the Moncton City Hospital as a result of a car accident.
Born in Lot 11, PEI, he was a son of the Late Otto and Nellie (McKenna) Murphy.
He worked in Lumber Camps and Coal Mines throughout the Maritimes until he joined the army in 1939. He served in World War 2 overseas in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy until he was wounded in Ortono in December of 1943. He was married to the former Ethel Moran in 1944. After several operations and a lengthy recooperation, he worked in farming, then at St. Eleanor's Airport and finally at CN Marine Division until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Cape Tormentine Legion, the Amherst Knights of Columbus, and was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, serving on many committees.
He will be sadly missed by 3 sons, Boyne (Patsy) and Shaun (Shelley), both of Port Elgin and Michael of Toronto, 3 daughters, Mollie (Roger) Legere, Riverview, NB, Mary Murphy, Port Elgin and Colleen (Lou) Costello of Georgetown, ON., 9 grandsons, Patrick, Duane, Joshua, Brennan, Andy, Marc, Chris, Cple and Dillon, 1 granddaughter Corey and a special friend Bernice Barclay, Sackville. He was predeceased by his wife Ethel (1998), a son Patrick (1971) , 2 brothers, Gerald and Oswald.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, (3 Main St. Port Elgin, NB 364-1300) on Monday from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. On Tuesday There will be a legion memorial service at 7:30 pm followed by a vigil at 8:30 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at 11 am at St. Clement's RC Church, Rev. Father Phil Mulligan officiating, burial to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Those wishing to make donations may do so to the Multiple Sclerosis Association.

Ashley K. MacDonald
March 13, 1988 - February 10, 2002
The death of Ashley K. MacDonald, age 13, of Dorchester, occurred at the Moncton City Hospital as the result of a Car Accident..
Born in Moncton, NB she was a daughter of Keith and Lucille (Landry) MacDonald.
She attended Dorchester Consolidated School, where she acted as Student Council President. She acted in the Drama Program, and was very active in the Salem Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School, working in the Nursery, the RTB Club, and anything else she could help with. She was a strong and faithful believer in God and His Son Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents she will be sadly missed by 2 sisters Jennifer and Melanie, both in Cambridge, ON, and 1 brother Deven, at home, her paternal great grandfather Arnold MacDonald, Amherst, paternal grandmother Doris MacDonald, Dorchester, maternal grandmother Florence Landry, Moncton, many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased in 2001 by grandfathers: Elmer MacDonald and Thomas Landry.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB 364-1300 on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, and Wednesday from 2 to 4. The funeral will take place at Salem Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at 7 PM, Burial will take place in the Dorchester Cemetery in the spring. The family has requested donations be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the Salem Baptist Church.

Clara Estabrooks
The death of Clara Estabrooks, age 79 of Midgic occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 5, 2002.
Born in Centrevillage, she was a daughter of the Late Thomas and Hattie (Patterson) Kay.
Clara will be sadly missed by 5 sons, Roger (Linda), Sackville, Timothy, Moncton, Daniel (Linda), Peter (Debbie) and Paul (Charlotte), all of Midgic and 3 daughters, Nancy (Don) Crossman, Sackville, Bonnie (Gary) Beal and Veronica (Brian) Dobson, both of Midgic. 2 sisters, Mary (Leon) Leblanc, Shediac and Dolly (Ross) Phinney, Sackville, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Alder in 1988, by 2 infant daughters, Olga and Josephine and by sisters and brothers, Lina, Bessie, Daisy, Rhoda, Jessie, Kelcie, Rosie, Ronald and an infant brother.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 8, 2002 at 2 PM. Burial in the Midgic Cemetery in the spring.

Davene Estabrooks
The death of Davene Estabrooks, 89, of Sackville, NB, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 5, 2002.
Born in Middle Sackville, she was a daughter of the Late Frank and Meta (Hicks) Beal. Wife of the Late Chester W. Estabrooks, a former chief of the Sackville Fire Dept.
She is survived by 3 sons; Malcolm "Mac" (Mora) of Onanole, MB, Dale (Gwen) of London, ON, Ellerd (Pat) of Riverview, 2 daughters; Joyce Prosser (Dr. Robert) of Oromocto, Diana Estabrooks of Sackville, 7 grandchildren; Kim Kowalchuk, Lethbridge, AB, Bryan and Bruce Estabrooks, both of London, ON, Eden Estabrooks of Riverview, Dr. Scott Prosser of Kent, Ohio, Diana Prosser-Lewis, Taymouth, NB, Lisa Prosser-Watson of Vancouver Island, BC, 2 great grandchildren; Haley Marie and Megan Lewis, both of Taymouth, NB.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (364-1300) with visiting hours on Thursday, March 7, 2002 from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Davene's memory may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital or charity of your choice.

Francis G.J. Estabrooks
The death of Francis G.J. Estabrooks, age 78 of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 14, 2002.
Born in Sackville he was a son of the Late Parker and Janie (Johnson) Estabrooks.
A former employee with the CN Railroad, he retired as Conductor after 35 years of service. A veteran of World War II he served in the Canadian Air Force as a wireless operator. He is a member of the Sackville Branch # 26 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Francis will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years Evelyn (Somerville), Sackville, 3 sons; Wayne (Betty), Sherwood Park, AB, Gregory (Pat), Westcock NB; Garnet (Linda), Lower Sackville, NS, 3 daughters; Gail, Toronto, Janet (Ronald) Smith, Riverview, NB and Lorraine McAllister, Williams Lake, BC, 1 sister Amy (Kent) Flemington, Kingston, ON, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by a daughter, Glenda, a grandson Gregory Graham, a brother Oren and a sister Sybil.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Monday from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 2 PM, Rev. Barry Todd officiating. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Sackville Memorial Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.
Sackville Branch # 26 or the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:30 PM.

Ola Estabrooks
The death of Ola G. Estabrooks, age 85, of Middle Sackville, NB occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, NB on Saturday, April 6, 2002. Born in Middle Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Bertha (McFee) Estabrooks.
Ola was a member of the Middle Sackville United Baptist Church, the Upper and Middle Sackville Women's Institute, a life member of the Women's Missionary Society and a member of the Ladies Aid of Middle Sackville United Baptist Church. She was an avid card player.
She will be sadly missed by 2 sons; Ronald (Shirley) of Sackville, Douglas (Isabel) of Pembroke, ON, 1 daughter-in-law Louise Estabrooks, Middle Sackville 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 sister Verna Estabrooks of Sackville. She was predeceased by her husband Gerard, 1son Ormond, 2 infant children, brothers Fred, Lionel, Leonard Jr., and sister Ida Fillmore.

The funeral service will take place at the Middle Sackville United Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at 2 pm, Pastor Vernon Vickruck officiating. Baxter Estabrooks
The death of Baxter Estabrooks, age 79 of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 5, 2002.
Born in Sackville, he was a son of the late Corey and Florence (Riley) Estabrooks. Baxter was employed for 12 years as Maintenance person with Sackville Golf and Country Club before retirement.
Baxter is survived by his wife, the former Jean Lewis, Amherst. He is also survived by 5 daughters, Donna (Vaughan) Simon, Buctouche, NB; Sue (George) Johnston, Eastern Passage, NS; Kathy (Jeffrey MacKenzie) Stephens, British Settlement, NB; Nancy (Andrew) Smith, Calgary, AB; Lisa Barkhouse Ottawa, ON, 2 sons, Michael, Calgary, AB; and Gordon, Ottawa, ON; 11grandchildren, a brother, Corey Estabrooks, Sackville and a sister Dora Wilson, Sackville.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (506-364-1300) with visitation Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 8, 2002 at 11 AM, Pastor Scott Chatterson officiating. There will be a time of tea and fellowship in the reception room of the funeral home, with burial in the Four Corners Cemetery.

Fida May Estabrooks
The death of Fida Estabrooks, age 99, of Sackville, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 26, 2002.
Born in Town Plot, NS, she was a daughter of the late William and Naomi (Hiltz) Throop.
She will be sadly missed by her son George Estabrooks, Sackville, her daughter Rita (Roy) Mossman, Sackville, 2 grandchildren, Patricia Allen and Linda Cunningham, 2 step Grandchildren, John Richardson and Ernest Richardson, 8 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Tory in 1971, a brother Raymond and a sister Annie.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville, NB (364-1300), on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2002 at 2 pm, Rev. Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial will follow in the Sackville Cemetery.

Homer Estabrooks
The death of Homer Estabrooks, age 85 of Sackville occurred suddenly at the Drew Nursing Home on Saturday, May 17, 2003.
Born in Sackville he was a son of Hedley and Theresa (Estabrooks) Estabrooks. He was employed with CNR for 30 years. He was a lover of nature and enjoyed cars.
Homer will be sadly missed a son; Larry (Charlene) Estabrooks, Sackville, 2 daughters; Joanne (Merrill) Armstrong, Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Norma (Reginald) Amos, Calgary, Alta, 8 grandchildren; Tracey, Todd, Troy, Donna, Chris, Denise, David, Timmy, 13 great grandchildren, 1 sister Beatrice Fillmore, Midgic, NB. He was predeceased by his wife Therald Hicks, 1 sister Leita, 2 brothers; John and Whitney Estabrooks.
Homer's remains will rest at the Jones Funeral Home, Sackville (364-1300) on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 with visiting hours from noon until time of the service at 2 p.m., Pastor Barry Todd officiating . Following cremation burial will take place in the Midgic Cemetery.

Clara Walton
The death of Clara Walton, age 86, of Port Elgin, formerly of Murray Corner, occurred at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin on Tuesday, February 19, 2002.
Born in Murray Corner, she was a daughter of the Late George and Henrietta (Scott) Stright. A school teacher , she taught in Anderson Settlement , Murray Corner and Port Elgin for 20 years. She was a member of the Murray Corner United Church, former superintendent of the Sunday School and former president of the UCW. A very creative person, she was a quilter, crocheter and handy worker.
She will be sadly missed by three sons; Rodney (Marilyn) and Larry (Heather) both of Murray Corner and Ivan (Sue) of Malden, NB. Three daughters; Lillian (Dewey) Trenholm of Port Elgin, Janet (Arden) Trenholm of Fredericton and Carolyn (Neil) Allen of Cape Spear Road, NB, 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Arlene Wiggins, Vancouver, BC and Nellie Dulenty, Murray Corner and a brother Henry Stright, Murray Corner. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cheryl Anne in 1957 and by her husband Courtney Walton in 1998 and a brother Kenneth.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Port Elgin (364-1300) on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral will be held at the Murray Corner United Church on Friday, February 22, 2002 at 3 PM, Rev. Carolyn Byers officiating. Burial in the Fernwood Cemetery in the Spring.

Keith Murray
The death of Keith Murray, 83, of Sackville, occurred at his home on Saturday, February 23, 2002.
Born at Murray Road, NB he was a son of the late Fred and Nina (Davidson) Murray. During WWII he served overseas from 1940 to 1946 as a member of the #3 R.C.E.M.E. For 24 years he worked in the automotive industry. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Keith will be fondly remembered by his 3 brothers; Lorne of Port Elgin, James (Maxine) of Miramichi, Kenneth (Evelyn) of Williams Lake, BC, 2 sisters; Lois Murray and May Doherty, both of Toronto, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Ruby and 2 brothers Hugh and Raymond.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home (70 Bridge St, Sackville, 364-1300) with visiting hours on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 from 1 until the time of the funeral at 2 PM, Pastor Barry Todd officiating. Burial will take place in the spring.

Shirley Maxwell
The death of Shirley Maxwell, 68, of Sackville, occurred on Friday, February 22, 2002 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Nettie Maxwell.Shirley was very active with the special populations in Sackville.
The last surviving member of her family she will be sadly missed by several cousins and close friends. She was predeceased by her sister Leta Lines in 1989.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, (70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB 364-1300) with visiting hours on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 25, 2002 at 2 PM, Pastor Barry Todd officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.

Laura Maxwell
The death of Laura Maxwell, age 79 of Bedford and Halifax, NS occurred suddenly at the Northwood Care Nursing Home, Halifax on Tuesday, April 9, 2002.
Born in Florence, Cape Breton, NS she was a daughter of the Late Abe and Mary (MacDonald) MacLeod. Laura was a member of the Bedford Senior Citizens and the Bedford United Church.
Laura will be sadly missed by her 2 sons; William (Bill) Ottawa and Donald, Calgary. She was predeceased by her husband Bill Maxwell, sister Christina and brothers John and Donald.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin (506-364-1300) with visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 12, 2002 at 2 PM Rev. Carolyn Byers officiating. Interment in the Baie Verte Cemetery.

Lloyd Johnson
The death of Lloyd Johnson, 71, of Dorchester, occurred suddenly at his home on Sunday, February 24, 2002.
Born in Webb, Saskatchewan he was a son of Wilhelmina (Hepky) of Lindsey, ON, and the late George Johnson. He was employed with NBTel for 38 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, an avid hunter and gardener.
He will be fondly remembered by his wife the former Margaret Read of Dorchester, 1 son Larry, Toronto, and 1 daughter Peggy (Bill) Richardson, Dorchester, 6 grandchildren; Amanda, J.R. (William), Ryan, Samantha, Nicole and Justin, 4 brothers, Douglas, Lindsey, ON, Ian, Toronto, Keith, Sackville, Garnet (Dianne), Miramichi, 1 sister Dorothy (Charles) Norcross, Ottawa.
He was predeceased by his son Scott (1988), and 1 brother Graham (1977).
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home (70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB 364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral will take place Thursday, February 28, 2002 at 2 PM, Pastor Cecil Symes officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Moncton.

Danny (DD) Blackett
The death of Danny (DD) Blackett, 74, of Sackville passed away on Friday, February 22, 2002 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Little Pond, PEI, he was a son of the late Daniel and Marie (Saviton) Blackett.
He will be sadly missed by his wife the former Linda Lewis of Sackville, 2 sons; Daniel Jr., Riverview, John (Tammy), Riverview, 5 daughters; Judy, Moncton, Sheila (Garnet), Riverglade, Brenda (Ralph), Salisbury, Darlene (Denis), Memramcook, Cindy (Chris), Sackville, 16 grandchildren, 3 brothers; Milton, Sussex, Lloyd, Sussex, Ross, PEI, 2 sisters; Bertha, Weymouth, NS, Joyce, PEI, several nieces and nephews, and daugheter-in-law Wendy.
He was predeceased by sons David and Charles, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Arrangements are in care of Jones Funeral Home (70 Bridge St, Sackville, NB, 364-1300). A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place with his family in PEI. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, or the donor's choice.
