David Muir
May 9, 1946 - January 30, 2002
The death of David Muir, age 55, Belleisle Creek, NB., husband of Donna (DeLong) (Desruisseau) Muir, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Wednesday, January 30, 2002. David was born in Sussex, May 9, 1946 the son of Clarence and Kathleen (Folkins) Muir. He was a graduate of the Community College in carpentry, with a Journeyman's Certificate. He plied his trade in the hard rock mining industry for many years.
David is survived by his wife, two daughters; Kay Muir-Thorne and D. J. Thorne, Collina, and Denise (Muir) and Stephen Machum, Fredericton, two sons; John Muir and Bonnie Bartlett, Sussex, and Anthony Muir, one step-daughter; Debbie Fenton, Norton, one step-son; David Desruisseau, Alberta, grandchildren; Cody Scott, Cassandra, David John, Brandon Roderick, Keanu Jared, Micaela Carrianne, Madison Denyse, Chelsea Kathleen, and Emily Laura, and step-grandchildren; Corey Robert, Amber Lynn, Jeffrey Ray and Gina Rose, one brother; Lloyd and Irene Muir, Belleisle Creek, three sisters; Margaret and Purdy McMillan, Belleisle Creek, Teenie and Charlie Neill, Springfield, and Eleanor and Brian McCafferty, Cambridge, ON, one great aunt; Annie Folkins, Hampton, many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brothers; Ted and Malcolm.
He is resting at Sherwood s Funeral Home, (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, with visiting Friday from 1 p.m. There will also be visiting at the Norton Wesleyan Church, 676 Route 124, Norton from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2002, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Interment in Riverbank Cemetery in the spring.

William Alexander Gilchrist
September 15,1913 - February 5,2002
The death of William A. Gilchrist, age 88, occurred at his residence, MacDonald s Corner, NB, on Tuesday, February 5, 2002. William (Billy) was the husband of Imogene (Kinney) Gilchrist. He was born in MacDonald's Corner September 15, 1913, the son of the late Robert and Florence (DeMille) Gilchrist.
William was a Deacon of the First Cambridge Baptist Church for many years and a member of Branch 63 of the Order of Pythians. His participation in community events was natural and from the heart.
He is survived by his wife, one son; Malcolm and Norma, MacDonald s Corner, granddaughter; Kim and Geoff VanderBaaren, Atwood, ON, grandson; Anthony Gilchrist and Sue Gee, Miramichi, great-grandson; William Robert, Fredericton, two sisters; Marion Reicker, Harvey Special Care Home and Margaret and Donald MacLean, Point Claire, PQ, brother; Earle and Elspeth Gilchrist, Fredericton, brother-in-law; Burtis MacLean, Cumberland Bay, sister-in-law; Helen Gilchrist, Fredericton. Pre-deceased by sister, Roberta MacLean, brother; David Gilchrist and grandchildren; Katherine and Christian Gilchrist.

Funeral service will be held from the First Cambridge United Baptist Church, 11 Church Lane, MacDonald s Corner, NB, Friday, February 8, 2002, at 2:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Philip Penny. Interment will be in the adjoining Cemetery in the spring.

Gladys Marjorie Peach
The death of Gladys M. (Codling) Peach, age 64, of Sussex, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, Saturday, October 13, 2001. She was the daughter of the late Cyril and Dorothy (Garland) Codling.
Gladys is survived by one son; Vernon J. Peach and Debbie, Airdrie, AB, one brother; Glen and Erna Codling, Norton, three nephews; John, Jarred and Joel, one niece; Andrea, one great-nephew; Ryan, two aunts, one uncle and cousins.

Rhoda Frances Alverna Kellow
1932 - 2001
The death of Rhoda Frances (VanWart) Kellow, age 69, wife of George R. Kellow, Springfield, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saturday, October 20, 2001. She was the daughter of the late Allison and Marion (Pitt) VanWart. Rhoda was an avid Bingo player.
She is survived by her husband, daughter Lynn and Fred Vail, Belleisle Creek, son George and Avis, Saint John, daughter Diane and Jay Kimball, Rothesay, three grandchildren; Kelly and Jason Vail, and George Kellow, two great grandchildren; Tyler and Thomas Vail, two brothers; Royden and Milton VanWart, both of Saint John, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

J. Walter Whelan
1916 - 2001
The death of J. Walter Whelan, 84, of Fredericton, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, on Saturday, April 28, 2001. Walter was the husband of Stella B. (Neill) Whelan.
Walter is survived by his wife, one daughter; E. Doreen Whelan, Fredericton, one son; Roger and Patricia Whelan, Hartland, grandson; Andrew and granddaughter; Kelly, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by brothers; Fred and Vincent and by sisters; Anna Doherty, Edna Dibblee, Elizabeth Whelan and Theresa Freeze.

Edvin Svensson
1908 - 2001
The death of Edvin Svensson, formerly of Hampstead, NB, occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital, Oromocto, NB on Tuesday, April 24, 2001. Born in 1908 in Morrum, Sweden, Edvin celebrated his 93rd birthday in Hampstead with family and friends. For the past 18 months he was a resident of the Gagetown Special Care Home.
Edvin is survived by two sons; Eric, Deep River, ON and Alden (Lee), Prince of Wales, NB, four grandsons; Gavin and Carl, ON and Victor and Patrick, Prince of Wales, two granddaughters; Sarah and Bridget, Prince of Wales, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Pearl in December of 1999 at the age of 92, and by five sisters and one brother all in Sweden.
Edvin came to Canada in 1928 and spent most of his working life as a quarryman in Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick were he worked for many years at the Hampstead quarry. Edvin served overseas in World War II and was a devoted Legion member and caretaker of the local Legion lot.

Debra June Stanley
1952-2001
Surrounded by her family, the death of Debra June Stanley occurred peacefully, at home, in Midland, NB. April 14, 2001. Born in North Bay, ON., in October 1952, she was the wife of Bill Stanley.
Debby is survived by her husband and son Rob and Angie, (Mississauga, ON). She was predeceased by her son Bill. Debby is also survived by her mother Joyce Greenwood, (Toronto), four brothers; Tom, Steven, Danny and Kevin and four sisters; Vicky, Wendy, Linda and Laurie, (all of Ontario). She is predeceased by her father Ben Greenwood.
Funeral service will be held from Sherwood's Funeral Chapel, 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2001. A private family Interment will follow later in Bayview Cemetery. Donations to the Bill Stanley Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund would be appreciated by the family.

KEITH ROBINSON
1924 - 2001
George Keith Robinson, Norton, On Sunday, April 22, 2001, born 1924.
Son of Helen (Keith) Robinson and J.F. Eldon Robinson, parented by Idella (Robinson) Campbell and her husband, Guilford O. Campbell of Norton. Survived by his step-mother, Isabella Robinson, his half-sister, Barbara (Robinson) Young and her husband, Harold. Mourned by his cousin, Dorothy-Lou (Jones) Stephens, her husband, Donald, and daughters, Hilary and Lindsay, his cousins, Marion (Robinson) Moore, other cousins, friends, card-players and neighbours.
Mr. Robinson worked for the CNR for many years. Contributions to the Cancer Society, Trinity Church, Springfield, or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.

Vera Grace Neill
The death of Vera G. (Sprague) Neill, Hampton and formerly of Hatfield Point, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, April 25, 2001. Vera was the wife of the late George W. Neill.
Survived by one son; Larry and Carolyn of Quispamsis, one grandson; Michael, at home, one brother; Clair and Cessy Sprague, Saint John, two sisters; Georgie and Mac Pearson, Sussex Corner and Madeleine and Frank Jeffery, Sussex Corner, two sisters-in-law; Geneva Sprague, Hatfield Point and Del Sprague, Oromocto, brother-in-law Charles and Teeny Neill, Springfield, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by daughter Vicki and brothers, Oscar, Earl, Arnold, Gordon and Edmund Sprague.

George L. Gunter
The death of George L. Gunter, in his 87th year, husband of Neata (Urquhart) Gunter of White's Cove, NB, occurred at the Oromocto Hospital, Oromocto, November 12, 2002. He was born in White's Cove, New Brunswick, the son of the late Andrew L. and Stella M. (Colwell) Gunter.
George's life was his family and his farm. He was a former Deacon of Mill Cove Baptist Church, School Board Member for Cambridge District # 24, longtime Director of the Queens County Fair, Deputy Returning Officer for Queens South, a member of Knights of Pythius, the Agricultural Society and the Jemseg Area Crokinole League.
George is survived by his wife, of 63 years, daughters; Betty and Bert Dykeman, Moncton, Barb and Ken Lawson, Fredericton, Mary Lou and Charles Connell, Codys, son; John and Laureen Gunter, White's Cove, ten grandchildren; Karen (Fred) Liedermer, Peter (Nancy) Dykeman, Stephanie Lawson, Rhonda (Derrick) Rushton, Carolyn (John) MacBain, Jennifer (Mike) Murray, Patsy Connell, Krista (Gavin) Phillips, Mark Gunter, Charity-Rae Gunter, four great grandchildren; Craig and Colin Rushton, Ewan MacBain and Emma Murray, brother-in-law; Percy Urquhart, sister-in-law; Lucille Gunter, several nieces and nephews. Howard Willard Erb
1916 - 2001
The death of Howard W. Erb, 84, Hampton, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Wednesday, April 25, 2001. Howard was the husband of Doris (Dibblee) Erb and son of the late Tilley and Hattie T. (Coleman) Erb.
Howard farmed, worked in the woods, drove truck for the Department of Public works. He was a custodian and a school bus driver for Hampton schools. He operated his own sanitation business for twenty-five years.
Survived by his wife, sons; Sydney and Marie, Quispamsis, Brian and Everett, Hampton, four grandsons; Peter and Heather, Renforth, Jeff and Lisa, Quispamsis David and Renee, Fredericton and Joseph, Quispamsis, two great-grandchildren; Matthew and Sarah, several nieces, nephews. Pre-deceased by brothers; Ralph, Aubrey, Sidney, Walter and Cyril and sisters; Dorothy Johnston and Thelma Hayes.

Lorna Margaret Corcoran
January 8, 1925 - July 27, 2002
Lorna Margaret Corcoran, age 77, of Cambridge-Narrows, passed away unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, July 27, 2002, with her family at her bedside. Born in Saint John, January 8, 1925, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. H. Charles Coggins, she has now joined her beloved husband, Ralph Murray Corcoran.
Lorna is survived by her daughters; Ginny and Owen Abbott, Saint John, and Sharon Corcoran, Truro, NS, son Randy and Corrine Corcoran, Saint John, sisters; Carol Hughes, Haileybury, ON, and Genevieve & Aubrey Silliker, Red Bank, brother; Andy & Doris Turnbull, Cambridge-Narrows, grandsons; Shawn & Wanda and Patrick & Sarah McLaughlan and Adam and Mathew Corcoran, Janice Baird, Julie Silliphant and Rhonda Squires, great grandchildren; Joey, Shawnda, Andrew and Jake McLaughlan, Ryan, Kristal and Daniel Squires and Justin Baird, several nieces and nephews. Lorna was predeceased by her brother Jim Coggins and her sister Jean Tissington.
This dynamic, blue-eyed woman loved the great out doors, snowmobiling, skating, broomball hockey, ATV, mopeding, riding the lawn mower and her famous crokinole tournaments. She will be sadly missed.

Donald H. Cple
Donald H. Cple, age 50, of Saint John, New Brunswick, died unexpectedly at his country home in Shannon, on Sunday, June 8, 2003. Donnie was the long-time companion of Brenda (Marr) Drane. He was born in Shannon, NB, November 13, 1952, the son of Grace and the late Herbert Cple.
Donnie loved the country and being outdoors to enjoy nature. He had a passion for his kids. He loved hunting, computers, photography and tractors.
In addition to his companion and mother, he is survived by son; Justin & Theresa, step-son; Raymond & Christina Drane, step-daughter; Michelle Drane & Jeremy, three step-granddaughters; Jannelta, Julieann and Jocelyn and an expected grandson Ethan, brother Clayton Cple, all of Saint John, sisters; Davine McLean & Leo, Coles Island, Lois & Al Arseneault, Saint John, Joyce Osburn & Eddie, Saint John, Leona Chamberlain & Steve, Shannon, and Brenda Negus, Saint John, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lawrence Herbert Allen
February 24, 1929 ~ June 16, 2003
Lawrence H Allen, age 74, husband of Leona (Armstrong) Allen, of Belleisle Creek, New Brunswick, died at the Sussex Health Centre, June 16, 2003. He was born on February 24, 1929, in Gagetown, NB, the son of the late Harry and Annie Jane (Mallery) Allen.
Larry was a tremendous fan of boxing and wrestling. He was an ardent woodworker, making a variety of craft items including many wishing wells. He loved to play the accordian, spending many hours accompanied by his sons playing their guitars.
Larry is survived by his wife, two sons; Richard and Joan, Baxter's Corner, and Douglas and June, Belleisle Creek, one daughter; Theresa and Roger Eagles, Belleisle Creek, six grandchildren, Michelle, Richard Jr., Jennifer and Christopher Allen, and Nichole and Leslie Eagles, and one great grandson; Justice Allen, three sisters; Auline and Joseph Roper, West Saint John, Sadie Selby, New Jersey, USA and Jean Eisner, Saint John, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Randall, five brothers; James, Frank, George, Charles and Harry, and four sisters; Bessie, Mary, Irene and Jemima.

The death of Hazen W. Horsman, age 77, husband of Myrna (McKnight) Horsman occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, September 13, 2002. He was born August 19, 1925, in Saint John, the son of Philip and Grace (Lawton) Horsman. He worked for many years at the Saint John Drydock. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 20, Sussex.

Audrey Lenora Perry
1925 - 2004
The death of Audrey L. (Worden) Perry, age 78, of Cambridge-Narrows, NB, wife of the late John Perry, occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital, on Sunday, January 18, 2004. She was born at The Narrows , New Brunswick, the daughter of the late William "Ernest" and May (Proctor) Worden.
Audrey spent three years in the Air Force as an aerial photographer. She was an avid bird lover, a great gardener, who produced an abundance of lovely flowers and delicious vegetables. She was a member of the Canadian Legion Branch 60 and the Washademoak Seniors.
Audrey is survived by sisters; Norma Gilbert, Walkerton, ON, Esther & Floyd Ferris, Cambridge-Narrows, brother; Carl Worden, Portage Vale, step-brother; George & Emily Gilbert, Berwick, several nieces and nephews, including special nephews; Kevin Ferris & Irene Daigle and John & Shona Gilbert and very special friends; Sharon Whipple and Paul McGarity. She was predeceased by infant sister Phyllis, sister Anna Fulton, step-brother Lloyd Gilbert, and step-mother Mabel Gilbert-Worden.
A celebration of Audrey s life will be held at Sherwood s Funeral Home, (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton on Thursday, January 22, 2004, 1:30PM. Memorials to the SPCA-Oromocto or donor s choice would be appreciated.

Murray Donald Urquhart
November 18, 1919 ~ November 22, 2002
The death of Murray D. Urquhart, age 83, husband of Hazel (Law) Urquhart of Lower Kars, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on November 22, 2002. Murray was the son of the late George and Celia Urquhart. During his lifetime he was a farmer, and worked for Department of Transportation as ferry operator, and served with the Canadian Army overseas during World War II, for six years.
Murray is survived by his wife, daughter; Celia and Willard Kennedy, Hampton, sons; Murray Jr. and Shannon Urquhart, Bedford, NS, Bryan and Lynn Urquhart, Norton, John and Cindy Urquhart, Hampton, step children; William and Dale Matheson, Toronto, Harry Matheson, Moncton, Walter and Bella Matheson, Saint John, several grandchildren and great grand-children, brother; Albert and Evelyn Urquhart, Kars, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brothers Arthur and Raymond, and sisters Elsie and Muriel.
Resting at Sherwood s Funeral Home, 18 Scovil Road, Norton (839-2156) with visiting on Sunday, November 24, 2002, from 3 -9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2002, at 2.00 pm from Sherwood s Funeral Chapel,. Interment will be in Riverbank Cemetery.

Mary Isabelle Paisley
March 1, 1912 - September 6, 2002
The death of Mary I. (McKnight) Paisley, Sussex, NB, age 90, wife of the late Rev. Samuel H. Paisley, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, Friday, September 6, 2002. She was born in Lower Millstream, NB, March 1, 1912, the daughter of Charles and Laura (Anderson) McKnight. In addition to being a homemaker, Mary worked for an Insurance Company and for a Fish Plant, in Back Bay, NB.
Mary is survived by her sons; Bill & Rayma, Bath, and Rev. D. Arnold & Rosalee, Regina, daughters; Anne Johnston, Brockville, ON, Helen & Rev. Harold Kinney, Vienna, Austria, Irma & Ernest Vail, Sussex, 14 grandchildren; Andrew & Violet, Andrea & Paul, Faith & Russell, Orpah & Danny, Greg & Sharon, Hope & Keith, Darla & John, Datha & Jeff, Kevin & Elianne, Lianne & Scott, Mark & Susan, Michael, Heidi & Derwin and David & Erin, 28 great grandchildren; Shelley, Sarah, Sharon-Rose, Hannah, Daniel, Abigail, Grace, Emily, Rebecca, Lois, Charles, Laura, Katelynn, Bradley, Daniel, Alex, Ashton, Joshua, Jarred, Jonathan, Madeline, Joshua, Kyla-Dawn, Michael, Larissa, Jenaya, Alex and Robin, two great-great grandchildren; Sammy and Stuart, sister; Muriel Hall. Jean Elizabeth Lohnes
August 24, 1924 ~ September 11, 2002
Jean Elizabeth Lohnes, Saint John, NB., formerly of Norton, daughter of the late Harold & Elizabeth (McAuley) Graves died peacefully on, Wednesday, September 11, 2002 with her children by her side, less than three weeks after celebrating her 78th birthday. Jean will be sadly missed by her family, as well as, the residents and staff of E-North Enhanced Unit in the Loch Lomond Villa, where she made her home for almost eight years. She loved knitting, embroidering, bingo and singing. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Norton Legion Branch.
Jean is survived by her daughters; Marie and Don Short, Kingston, Shirley and Tom Burley, Norton, Carolyn Coughlin, Smith Creek, Leda and Jacob Kuin, Mt. Pisgah, and son; Hal (Harold) Lohnes, Grove Hill, 15 grandchildren; Wanda, Greg, John and Christine McAlary, Gerry Burley, Pam Bernard, Sussanne Burley, Paul and Christopher Coughlin, Corey and Amanda Lohnes, Philip, Vanessa, and Matthew Dunn, Nicolaas Kuin, 7 great grandchildren; Leonard and Alice McAlary, Jonathan Hansen, Kyle and Brittany Bernard, Chantelle McGarity, and John Junior MacFarlane, sisters; Hazel and Joe Fleming, Saint John, Joyce and Frank Griffiths, Norton, and brother; Leslie and Ramona Graves, Apohaqui, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son David Cecil on July 29, 1982.

Reginald Lloyd Thomas
1949 - 2004
Reginald Lloyd Thomas, age 54, formerly of Saint John, passed away peacefully at Norwood Care Centre, Edmonton, AB, Monday, January 26, 2004. He was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, June 3, 1949, the son of Bea (Griffin) and the late Howard Thomas.
Reg was past News Director for CFRN TV in Edmonton and prior to that was Executive Producer of GLOBAL News in Toronto.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Maggie), two children; Gavin and Moorea, brother Howard, Upper Golden Grove, NB, mother Bea (Thomas) & John Wallace, Midland, NB, two nephews, one niece and several cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Albert s Alliance Church, St Albert, AB, Saturday, January 31, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Midland Baptist Church, Midland, Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m.

Hattie Mott
1925-2008
The death of Hattie Angeline Elily Mott, age 83, of Craft's Cove, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on Saturday, July 12, 2008. She was the wife of Kenneth G. Mott. Hattie was born on January 5, 1925 in Caribou, ME, the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian (Mott) Ferris.
Hattie will always be remembered for her love of family and friends. She loved nothing better than to be surrounded by her family, always putting others first and herself last. Known for her hospitality, you could not leave without having a cup of tea and something to eat.
She will always be remembered for her famous "Brown Sugar Squares" and her "Molasses Cookies". She was a good-natured person who loved a good laugh and had a wonderful sense of humour. But most of all she will always be remembered for her "Heart of Gold".
She is survived by her husband; daughters Linda and Redford Robicheau of Corn Hill and Violet and Eddie Kilpatrick of Cherry Hill; sons Eugene and Bev Mott of Penobsquis, and Kenneth and Nancy Mott of Wardsville, ON; 16 grandchildren Jackie Willand, Caroline Mott, Donna Millman, Andy, Janit, Murray and Tracy Berube, Christal Scott, Tabitha Hearn, Kenneth Robicheau, Melinda Mercer, Sherrie Tays, Tammy Williams, Cindy Mott, Jason Mott and Pamela Dibblee; 42 great grandchildren Riley, Taylor, Alyssa, Tony, Lisa, Jody, Christopher, Curtis, Felecia, Chelsie, Joseph, Derica, Cody, Matthew, Jordan, Jessica, Katie, Kayla, Caitlin, Tyler, Nick, Alysha, Thomas, Shelby, Nicole, Brodie, Kristopher, Briana, Micaela, Cameron, Maximus, Julliette, Sophia, Courtney, Nicholas, Jessica, Zachary, Nicole, Bianca, Hannah, Emily, Savannah, Michael, Justin, Ryan and Brady; 6 great-great grandchildren Joselen, Natalie, Shardelle, Justine, Conner, Aiden and Colin; daughter-in-law Debbie Mott of Craft's Cove; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by son Howard and brother Hubert Ferris.

Rachael Duffley
1989-2008
The death of Rachael Dawn Duffley, 18, of Kiersteadville, occurred by accident in Springfield, on Sunday, July 6, 2008. She was born December 3, 1989 in Saint John, NB, the beloved daughter of Mark and Lynn Ann (Jennings) Duffley.
Rachael was an over-achiever. She excelled scholastically and in sports. She was a team player and a leader. Rugby, hockey, skiing, swimming, camping, fishing and boating were all great activities for her. Rachael was an avid reader and wonderful writer, finding time for both every day. She loved almost anything country. Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn, Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks and the list went on. She enjoyed movies such as SWAT, Oceans 11 and Million Dollar Baby. As a kid, she loved to read books - Rainbow Six, Night, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe were among the best. One of her favorite quotes, and which she lived by, was "Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die tomorrow", by James Dean.
Rachael is survived by her parents; sisters Vanessa, Mariah and Kirstin; maternal grandparents Gloria and Cecil Jennings of Grand Bay-Westfield; paternal grandparents Jim and Rita Duffley of Quisipamsis; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and teammates.
Resting at Sherwood s Funeral Home and Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Wednesday, July 9th, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 10th, from 2 to 8 p.m. A celebration of Rachael s life will be held from Belleisle Regional High School, 1800 Route 124, Springfield, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11th, 2008. Interment will follow in Kiersteadville Cemetery, Kiersteadville, NB

Cora Dempster
1922-2007
Surrounded by her family and loved ones, the death of Cora Rose (Forsyth) Dempster, age 85, wife of the late Aubrey Dempster, of Hampton, formerly of Norton, occurred at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, on April 12, 2007. She was born in Creek Road, New Brunswick, January 2, 1922, the daughter of the late Fred and Louise (Landry) Forsyth.
Cora was a lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Norton Branch #76, and a member of Millidgeville Lioness Club. She was an avid knitter, knitting mittens and socks for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and watching Jeopardy. She loved going to her trailer in the summer. Cora enjoyed her garden and making pickles and jams that she found pleasure in sharing with her family.
She is survived by daughters; Louise Mitchell, Saint John, Irene and Peter Owen, Saint John, Sharon and Stephen Chase, Bloomfield, and Sandra Dempster and Paul Walsh, Salt Springs, and son; Joe Dempster, Quispamsis, 21 grandchildren; Bessie, Donna, Pam, Rick, Bonny, Kim, Karen, Paula, Patrick, Kent, Kelly, Brent, Brent, Tanya, Vanessa, Chris, Scott, Tina, Monica, Jenny and P.J., 32 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, sister; Iva MacLeod, Quispamsis, brothers; Roy Forsyth, Hunter Lake, and Sterling and Helen Forsyth, Kingston Peninsula, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons; Arnold and his wife Mary, and Fred, grandson; Scott and granddaughter; Joanne, sisters; Hazel Mercer and Nettie Coates, and brother; Peter Forsyth.
She is resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, with visiting on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Mary Wanamaker, will be held from Sherwood s Chapel, on Monday, April 16, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. Following cremation, Interment will be in Riverbank Cemetery. Donations to Riverbank Cemetery, or the memorial of the donor s choice, would be appreciated.
