HALL, Dr. Lynn Gordon It is with great sadness that the family of Lynn Hall announce his passing, following a brief illness. He was loved and respected by his daughter, Dorothy (Norman) Sande; his grandchildren, Ken (Cynthia) Sande, Todd (Lisa) Sande and Marguerite (Richard) Tewes; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, David, Evan, Nathan and Trevor. Lynn was predeceased by Clara, his wife of 70 years in 1999 and by his son, F/O Gordon Hall, RCAF in 1953. After graduating from Camrose Normal School (Class of 1926) he taught in a one room school at Lundberg. His next position was in Big Valley where he and Clara operated one of the first dormitory schools in Alberta. The "dorm" housed up to 80 students, many of whom would not otherwise been able to obtain a high school education. In 1942 he became principal in Taber until 1948, when he joined the staff of the Department of Education and moved to Lac La Biche as Superintendent of Schools. After five years he transferred to Wainwright for eight years when he was promoted to High School Inspector, first in Lethbridge and then in Edmonton. He ended his professional career as Director of School Administration in 1972. For 60 years he was a dedicated member of the Lions Club, serving two terms as District Governor, and helping in any capacity that required assistance. At age 93 he was still working at club casinos. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. KIRKPATRICK, Roseanna (nee O'Kane) February 12, 1930 - May 30, 2002 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our cherished mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Mom passed away peacefully, after a three year daily struggle with life, at the General Continuing Care Center. She is lovingly remembered and will be deeply missed by her children, Patricia, Veronica (Ron), Shirley (Elwin), Judy, Marvin (Wanda) and Earl; nine grandchildren, Dennis, Annette, Kimberly, Christopher, Shannon, Randy, Tricia, Adam and Jenna; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Bridie McGill and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Violet, who passed on May 1, 1981 and his daughter-in-law Judy Collingwood (nee Nolt) who passed on January 21, 2001. He leaves behind his son, Martin Collingwood and his daughter Nola Babiak (nee Collingwood), his son-in-law Allen Babiak, grandchildren Scott and wife Ida, and Richard Collingwood, Todd and wife Gina, Kirk and wife Tamara Babiak, great-grandchildren Victoria, Spencer and Taylor Collingwood, and Dylan Babiak. He also leaves behind his sisters Kitty Graham, Jean Atkin, and brother Tom Collingwood and wife Pat. Norman's funeral will be at Foster & McGarvey 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 21. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cross Cancer Institute.

FORSYTH, Edna Kathleen (Arnold) April 24, 1923 - October 13, 2002 Mrs. Edna Forsyth passed away peacefully October 13, 2002 at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold; her sons, Allen (Norine) of Edmonton and Brian (Jeanie) of Whitehorse, Yukon; three grandchildren, Lynda, Erin and Sara Kaci; her sister, Stella Simmermon of Calgary. A Memorial Service will be held at Braemar Baptist Church, 7407-98 Avenue, on Friday, October 18, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985-124 Street, Edmonton, AB T5M 9Z9.

FOURNIER, Aime Lawrence Paul On October 15, 2002, Aime Fournier of Carnwood, Alberta passed away at the age of 60 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Marion; son, Bradley (Ceone) Fournier; daughters, Lorene Murray, Jackie (Dwayne) Girodet; step-sons, Timothy (Christine) Olson, Dennis (Anne) Olson; step-daughters, Veronica (Marc) Cordes, Jana (Frank) Fane; five grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Derek, Hayley and Owen; sisters, Jeanne (Ray) Bolton of Leduc, Phyllis Renes of Wetaskiwin; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Aurelie Fournier; sister, Linda Fournier and brother-in-law, Vernon Renes. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 19th, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. from Baker Funeral Chapel with Father Richard Bednar officiating. GAEDE (nee CUNNINGHAM), Elizabeth Anne Betty Gaede passed away at home in Camrose on October 15, 2002 at the age of 58 years. Betty faced the challenge of cancer with dignity. She fought with courage, turning defeat into victory and into a gift rather than a tragedy. Betty loved music; and had the privilege of teaching music with the Edmonton Public School Board, and later Red Deer College. As well she taught private piano lessons to young children. Betty is survived by her exceptional mother, Ming (Irene). Her beloved father, Han (Don) passed away only days before her. She is also survived by her three brothers, Gordie (Nancy), Ally (Liz), Elwyn (Theresa), all of Sundre; and her sister Marion (Al) Schaffer of Canmore, Alberta. She also leaves to mourn her passing a loving husband, Harry, and his children Lisa (James) Fabian of North Vancouver, B.C., Lara (Michael) Janke of Calgary, and the Wakefield children: Scott (Elaine) of Calgary, Cameron of Edmonton, Malcolm, of Ottawa, Jennifer, of Calgary, and Jane, of Red Deer; as well as her many nieces, nephews and her grandchildren; and by dear friends, too numerous to name, who also love her dearly. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 20 at 3:00 pm in the Augustana University College Faith and Life Centre, Camrose (4901-46 Avenue).
